Hi, sugarwolf!

Enter the Dragon, Enter the Tiger, Enter the wildKat. Hi, Gaylord and SW!
SeanG, are you still on the lists?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm
Gaylord Fields:

Hi, kat330! Thanks for Entering My Musical Realm!
Avatar 5:24pm

:) Properly myself and logged in now.
Avatar 5:26pm

Guess the U.S. Open is rained out? Turned it on to see some "classic" footage. We had some heavy downpours yesterday and it came your way.
Rains, heh.

Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: Thanks for signing in. Now I know you're not a kat330 impostor (or, at least, you're a more clever impostor). I'll apply Occam's Razor and presume it's truly you.
Avatar 5:28pm

BTW, I enter my email address even when in nude mode, so it should be a red flag anyone signing in as kat330 w/o an email.

I'm posting from the app so I'm not logged in but I am 100% real sugarwolf
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: What clued you in to it being a US Open rerun? Was it the Don Budge vs. Frank Kovacs match?

This show is being programmed by my subconscious.
Avatar 5:30pm

The clue is the big letters in the upper left-hand of the tv screen saying "US Open Greatest Hits."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm
Gaylord Fields:

@sugarwolf: No one would dare impersonate you in front of me. I'm better the any Turing Test when it comes to you.
Avatar 5:32pm

So far it's all animals on the Fields: Wolf, dragon, tiger and kat.

Let's have some pie!!
Avatar 5:34pm

For this assemblage, probably a meat pie is best.
Avatar 5:35pm

A veggie seitan/beans "meat pie"?

As long as it's not dessert pie, yuck
Avatar 5:37pm

Edamames or garbanzos, yum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm
Gaylord Fields:

@saccharinewolf: It's you, all right!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat300: Good thing you excluded Hello Kitty from my menagerie, as she's human, of course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: Forgive me for subtracting 30 from your name.

She's not not a cat!
Avatar 5:41pm

@TDK60: Vegetarian wolves, dragons, tigers don't exist. [Some say no dragons whatsoever exist.] As for kat, not so much either. In fact, my "tamer" is doing grill duty right now.
@Gaylord: It's a birth date even though almost no one has ever figured that out. It's also the perfect length of a pop song, 3:30 (IMO).

Time to go back to work boooo bye friends!!
Avatar 5:42pm

Have some pie and bye, sw!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat 330: I call shenanigans! There's no zero day of the 33rd month! In fact, there's no 33rd month at all! So your birthday can't be 33/0.

On the other hand, there's a tiny chance I'm misapplying the virgule.
Avatar 5:49pm

@Gaylord: At least you didn't presume I was born March 1930! :) In Europe my handle would have to read kat303.
Avatar 5:52pm

Donald Byrd gives me my 2nd wind along with my evening iced tea.
Avatar 5:53pm

Yes, this Byrd is a great addition to the menagerie gathered on the Fields.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: You are the mighty theme hunter!
Avatar 5:55pm

Food's in and my tamer should be joining us shortly
@GF: Yes, I'm into patterns, puzzle solving, things Holmesian.
Avatar 5:57pm

Ah, a version of 'Naima' I've not heard.
Avatar 5:59pm
Philo "Kat Tamer" Gristle:

Greetings, lot. Doggone, missed the fabulosity that is Lalo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: I have a similar brain. I love puzzles and conundrums and philosophical paradoxes (see my show description). I use that quirk to put together my show, actually, which is why I accept your interpretation.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00pm
Gaylord Fields:

Hi, Philo. Don't forget to feed the kat!

WOW, as far as I concerned, this is as good as it gets
Avatar 6:01pm
Philo Gristle:

Feeding kat some pork sirloin steak, corncob and coleslaw, straight off the grill. Not the coleslaw. Hi Gaylord!
Avatar 6:03pm

Gaylord is your mike distorting? Maybe my equalizer is too high on the bass.
Avatar 6:04pm
Philo Gristle:

Is this Diana opening the Dors of perception here?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Philo: I see why you're kat's man! Well played!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm
Gaylord Fields:

@TDK60: It's probably my vocal cords distorting, but there's nothing I can really do if it's the microphone.
Avatar 6:07pm

And just imagine if English were Philo's *first* language.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: That's what I feel I lose when I attempt to converse in, say, Spanish: my penchant for using and getting wordplay.
Avatar 6:11pm

Nice Sunday theme for a couple there.
Avatar 6:14pm
Philo Gristle:

Lovely guitar from Takeshi!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: I made that connection semi-consciously.

@Philo Gristle: Takeshi really is masterful.
Avatar 6:20pm

That one quick guitar run riff reminds me of Tom Rush' "Urge for Going" -- at least I think I've got that right.
Avatar 6:25pm

@kat330: I hear the connection, that high end lonely sound, with quick trill, right?
Avatar 6:27pm

@TDK60: Yeah, in "Tiger" there was a fast run, trilly, that matches my memory of one Rush does more slowly (same notes I think) on his version of the Mitchell classic. Funny, I was just thinking of UfG yesterday and what a wonderful autumn song it is.

Uncle Michael:

Hello people of the comments.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm
Gaylord Fields:

How do, Uncle Michael!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm
Uncle Michael:

I do middling, Gaylord. Thank you for aski...wait, was that a question? I must consult a grammarian.
Phillip In Brooklyn:

Afternoon Gaylord :-) first time for me listening to your show.
That song by "the school" was hot
Avatar 6:37pm

Punctuation trumps sentence structure?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm
Gaylord Fields:

You can use an exclamation mark with a question. Or at least a trained professional such as myself can.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm
Uncle Michael:

Let me offer my compliments on the Deep Six track. That's from a good album.

I put my trust in trained professionals.
Avatar 6:42pm

Do I like this RoSV! (question or statement? ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45pm
Gaylord Fields:

Being familiar with the song in question (or in exclamation), I interpret what you wrote as an emphatic statement.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Phillip in Brooklyn: Welcome aboard!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
Uncle Michael:

I wish I'd been here sooner.
Avatar 6:47pm

True that, plus you probably have an inside view of the star clicks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Uncle Michael: Aw, shucks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm
Uncle Michael:

It's funny. I've been wondering if there is such a thing. I actually don't know. I must consult TBTB.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm
Gaylord Fields:

@kat330: I'm flattered by your star clickery.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm
Uncle Michael:

...Evening (TZAG) All !...
Avatar 6:53pm

"Star clickery" hm = Racket Lyrics, Scary Trickle, Kat Recs Lyric, Kat's Relic Cry. and another 100+possibilities.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
Uncle Michael:

Gaylord, do you know the authorship of this Irma Thomas track?

Can we use an interrobang ?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
Gaylord Fields:

@sugarwolf: Perfect solution!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm
Uncle Michael:

The trouble is that the interrobang conveys surprise, alarm or confusion and not delight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Uncle Michael: It's a Pomus-Shuman joint.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm
Uncle Michael:

I'm pretty sure Gaylord was delighted to see me.

Thanks for the provenance!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
Uncle Michael:

Karen Carpenter meets Free Design?
Avatar 6:57pm

Well-deserved clickery, Mr. Fields. Thank you for 2 hrs. of a super pre-, during, and after-dinner soundtrack!
Doc Pomus: "move your torso only moreso" or words to that effect. :)

Happy and safe LD all
Avatar 6:57pm
Philo Gristle:

Is there a Michael Moorcock connection to the list? Opens with Ladbroke Grove and wraps up with "New Worlds." Happy accident?
Avatar 6:58pm

Oh crap, thanks Gaylord, superb show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm
Uncle Michael:

You too, Kat.

Thanks Gaylord!
Avatar 6:59pm
Philo Gristle:

Night, owl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59pm
Gaylord Fields:

I'm black history! Thanks, and bye!
