I saw OOIOO over the weekend, and I must just say they represent everything that is right in the world. If you live in Philly, drop everything and go see them tonight!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am common:

Avatar 9:51am KOTJ:

Saw OOIOO here in Boston on Saturday. Left elated. Sadly show started promptly at ticketed time and missed all but the last three Black Pus opening assaults.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52am Liz Berg:

OOIOO at Johnny Brenda's tonight, then they'll be in Toronto and Detroit:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53am common:

Avatar 9:56am holland oats:

stage dives & all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57am Liz Berg:

That stage-diving drunk guy was hilarious. Later I saw him going up to random people and trying to get them to dance with him.

Go Liz! Is it bad I'm anxiously awaiting 'Sandwich Time' in more ways than one?

Morrissey sounding good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am joe:

the wife (insane Morrissey fan) has it in itunes but has not listened to it yet because she is always afraid the newest album may disappoint her then she would not know how to handled it. LOL
Avatar 10:38am Claw!:

Good morning, All.
Nice set so far, Liz! Keep up the good work. :)
I really dug that Cold Beat cut. Is that off "Over Me"?
Avatar 10:40am Claw!:

Ah, the playlist says yes. Derp. Still haven't had my coffee yet...
Swag For Life Member 10:44am BarbR:

Great music, Liz! Resisting the urge to "favorite" everything!
Avatar 10:49am d¢ pät:

ok, just got a better than usual review, still have a job, let the party begin...it's always tricky balancing FMU commenting with actually doing work...
Avatar 10:50am d¢ pät:

dang, just in time apparently... The Dead Space sounds great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am adrian in mpls:

@dc pat - congrats! i'm constantly trying to find that right balance.....
Avatar 10:52am d¢ pät:

except now, since I get a glowing review, the temptation is to spend more time here.....hmmmm....

"hey guys guys... anyone got anything that rhymes with 'lonely' .... oh wait.. nevermind.. i've got it.."
Avatar 10:57am d¢ pät:

Hi. My name is d¢ pät...and I've never been a Morrisey fan.....
Avatar 11:01am Claw!:

@dc pat - We are kindred spirits. I never liked The Smiths, and Morrissey has always come off as such a pretentious twat. That's probably because he is one.
  11:03am jagilu:

Hey Liz,
I havn`t get what you said about a show in Toronto. Who is going to play in Toronto?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am Liz Berg:

OOIOO will play Toronto on Tues at Lee's Palace, definitely go!
Avatar 11:05am Rev. Turnip Druid:

I couldn't identify a smiths or morrissey tune if my life depended on it (not even that famous smiths one, just know the title) -- Even just happened to miss the Morrissey tune earlier. We are ships that refuse to pass in the night.
Avatar 11:05am d¢ pät:

for me it's more like Bowie or Jerry Garcia--I really don't have anything against them, just don't particularly like their tunes.

Crap! Is OOIOO coming to DC?? I'll have a look...
Avatar 11:05am Rev. Turnip Druid:

But this 999 thing is teh glories....
Avatar 11:05am Claw!:

Liz, this Future Punx track is really friggin cool!
Avatar 11:07am Rev. Turnip Druid:

...and getting glories-er...!
Avatar 11:07am d¢ pät:

CRAP. Philly tonight, Toronto tomorrow...then back to the land of the rising sun...
Avatar 11:07am Chris from DC:

Pat, they were supposed to have been at the Hotel last week, looks like they cancelled though?
Avatar 11:07am Whosondephone:

Yes, This good one.
Avatar 11:08am JakeGould:

Morrissey to me is pretty useless without the Smiths. To me “Strangeways Here We Come” is just a piece of crap. And some of the Morrissey solo stuff has merits but is so forced. Smiths all the way.
Avatar 11:08am d¢ pät:

Dammit Chris! How come I don't hear about these things??
Avatar 11:08am slugluv1313:

SPROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!! *love* THANK YOU, Liz! :)
Avatar 11:09am Claw!:

I'd say that I feel the same way about Bowie and Garcia. I actually do like Bowie a little, but not enough to seek out his stuff. The Grateful Dead are boring to me. And I just can't stand Morrissey. Meh.
Avatar 11:10am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Liz Berg - the original Music Scientist.
Avatar 11:12am Claw!:

Hell yeah on the Xeno and Oaklander! Liz, you don't have any Figure Study or Linea Aspera over there by chance, do you?
Avatar 11:17am d¢ pät:

I don't know what is Kemialliset Ystävät but I want to marry it...
Avatar 11:20am Claw!:

This has kind of a Moondog-ish vibe to it so far. Interesting...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am Andrew Waterloo:

got my first installment of swag today.
Avatar 11:22am d¢ pät:

LizB, killing as usual. Thanks LizB.
  11:23am Darrell Dave:

Looking for a lady who will buy me stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am Liz Berg:

Thanks DC Pat! Seeing OOIOO reminded me of this OLAibi album from a while back (Yoshimi and Aya are in both bands).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am DCE:

all I can say is "good!"
Avatar 11:27am Claw!:

This track makes me want to bust out the lucite platforms with the goldfish in em.
  11:28am Sam:

All these bands are so hard to pronounce
Avatar 11:32am Chris from DC:

You can't go wrong with Ethiopiques.
Avatar 11:34am d¢ pät:

Avatar 11:34am Lucas:

Great track Liz! I was just thinking about Mammane Sani and his Orgue and saw that you already played it on your show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am steve:

zomg, Onyeabor remixes...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am adrian in mpls:

@Chris - totally agree. That series is killer.
  11:36am wzerczc:

I heard brian turner was often mistaken for phillip seymour hoffman.
Avatar 11:42am bobdoesthings:

If you can't make the man forever show.. it's cool, just grab a friend and a drum and hit them for 20-30 mins without stopping.
  11:42am Antiguo Automata Mexicano:

I loved Music Scientist by Konrad !!! Saludos desde México Liz !!!!
  11:42am wzerczc:

Avatar 11:50am d¢ pät:

saw Priests last Thursday. go see 'em if you get a chance. Great stuff.
Avatar 11:50am Cheri Pi:

Smoking hot set Liz- YOWCH!
  11:50am wzerczc:

hey cheri
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Ken From Hyde Park:

The last time I uttered 'yowch' was when I bit the inside of my cheek. That brings back a bad memory, I'm sorry to say. Phantom pain and all.
Avatar 11:53am Claw!:

Liz, you are melting may face off with this show. I've favorited at least a million of the cuts you've played. Super, super good. Thanks for all the awesome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am common:

Avatar 11:55am Chris from DC:

Oh it's sandwich time all right.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am Ken From Hyde Park:

Ironically, I forgot my usual sandwich at home today. I'll have to see what's in the cafeteria today.
