morning all! anyone ever seen shonen knife live? how was it? they're coming to the twin cities in a couple of months and was thinking about going
Avatar 9:50am Cheri Pi:

Not of the top of my head Joe, but all the songs are about the electronic age. I'll look at it tonight.
Avatar 9:51am Joe McG:

@adrian: Saw them ages ago, in the 90s. They have mostly a new line-up now, but I hear they have a lot of energy. Might go myself when they swing around here in the fall.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am Lewis:

gotta love freeform radio! great track btw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56am Ken From Hyde Park:

Usually, when a song is played twice, it's by accident and the DJ makes some excuse. Here, the DJ says that he's about to do and makes it happen.
Swag For Life Member 9:56am 12539:

(Should it be listed twice in the playlist?)
Avatar 9:58am Joe McG:

@12539: Trying to keep me honest, eh? :)
Avatar 9:58am Roberto:

Yes, it must be listed again, or at least flagged as having been played twice.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am DCE:

I could see the air quotes when he said "TV"
Avatar 10:04am Joe McG:

I do, Cecile, but I thought of the transition that second and just grabbed what I saw from the shelf. I prefer the first version. Oh well!
Avatar 10:05am Cecile:

Also, when LeBron signed with the Cavs, how come nobody played "Burn On" by Randy Newman. It seemed appropriate.
Avatar 10:07am Cecile:

oh, that's OK. Just wanted to make sure. :D

Like This was one of those albums I disliked at first, and my friends told me to listen to it because it was great. Then I liked it for a while cause I was seeing them live. But then I pulled it out ten years ago and it was still awfull.

I can hear how great they mostly are, even on my old Kloss 88 radio I use in the office. (better to hear Rock Me as the single, avoid the endless organ solo)
