Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm steve:

Avatar 3:18pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

That M. Abate piece was the bee's knees.
Not the bees I be holdin' .. naturally. But some bees' knees.
Avatar 3:19pm Chris from DC:

Digging the pipes here, too.
  3:23pm P-90:

BEHOLD! etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm fleep:

Remodel going on next door. Someone using a circular saw at random. Impossible to separate from Fabio's current selection. Behold!
  3:30pm nic:

i love this !!!!!!!!
Avatar 3:37pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

The missus reports that the movers have completed schlepping boxes into the new place. If you cannot pray for the vinyl that has been thumping around all day, at least pray for the collection of ceramic smoking babies & their associated cigarette packs...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Rich in Washington:

I found Soft Machine 6 recently at a thrift store and the completist in me had to have it. I probably need to listen to it again.
Avatar 4:11pm Sem Chumbo:

Other afternoons are all... failures, he opined, falteringly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm steve:

godspeed Rev
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm Davis:

a Jimmy Lyons played right wing for york city in the early 70s. he wasnt as good as this one though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm DCE:

"virtually anything" whoa, that was cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm adrian in mpls:

@ Davis -- not too many good solo runs? har har har
  4:20pm BigLankyGeordie:

Howdee girls and boys from canny Northern England! ;-) Can we have some Boards of Canada tonight?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm Ken From Hyde Park:

About 3:20, I was in my car driving home. 90.1 wasn't coming in too well, but I could make out some drone. I flipped it to a local station at 91.3 and, behold, also some drone. I felt like Groundskeeper Willie tuning in his various bagpipe stations.
Avatar 4:28pm Cecile:

Hard Day's Night is awesome.
Avatar 4:29pm Cecile:

I feel great watching that movie until the end, and then I get sad.
  4:31pm Jason in Houston:

Just caught the 1 p.m. screening at the MFAH. One more screening at 7 this evening from those that can make it. Very worth it.
  4:32pm Rory:

Hey Fabio, what was that bed music?
  4:34pm New Orleans Brian:

Please Make it stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm fleep:

Amateur.
  4:36pm New Orleans Brian:

Avatar 4:37pm Sem Chumbo:

@fleep does naughty better. A genetic thing.
Avatar 4:40pm Cecile:

who is the drummer here? I am feeling him or her.
  4:43pm Dean:

Maybe this guy, Kenneth Nash? http://culturalodyssey.org/postcard/feb2013press/
Avatar 4:44pm Cecile:

thanks, dean!
  4:45pm Dean:

Er, maybe not. In fact, it looks like it was Donald Robinson! http://www.discogs.com/Various-Music-Of-Idris-Ackamoor/release/1270542

Wow, Art Hirahara played with them, too.
  4:46pm Dean:

Robinson played with, inter alia, Larry Ochs and Lisle Ellis as What We Live.
Avatar 4:51pm Fabio:

I think it was this guy for this track: Marcel Lytle (many players on these recordings...
  4:54pm Dean:

But... http://screencast.com/t/ekyOloCcEt
Avatar 4:56pm Chris from DC:

Just saw Keir Neuringer down here and it was pretty mindblowing.
Avatar 4:59pm Fabio:

you're looking at the wrong track #
Avatar 5:03pm Cecile:

I wanted to know who drummed on the Pyramids cut
Avatar 5:03pm Cecile:

and John Butcher is a monster. One of the greats of free improv
Avatar 5:05pm chocolate monk:

butcher is gonna botcha!
  5:09pm Dean:

Wrong Pyramids track? Or wrong Failure track? The diagrammy thing at the link above says "Land of Eternal Song Suite part 3" is 1-2. In any event, yeah, Butcher is sui generis. I think I first heard him live at Victo: http://www.johnbutcher.org.uk/min_coda.html Blew me away.
Avatar 5:10pm Fredericks:

I swore I heard Derek Bailey.
Avatar 5:10pm Chris from DC:

Yeah, what Cecile said. John Butcher's one of my favorites.
Avatar 5:13pm Fredericks:

Oh, that makes me feel better.
Avatar 5:14pm chocolate monk:

i sat on a train today with max eastley, he told a funny story about Bailey playing in a public library...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm steve:

yay Peacock
Avatar 5:22pm Cecile:

this is crazy. and ahead of its time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm steve:

seriously
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm Guido from Cologne:

Hi everyone!

i listened to the most part of the show on my bicycle making quite a few kilometers.
Right in tim back to flee dry a monsoon-like thundersturm.
i suggest rice-farming for the rhineland.
I just could enter the main door in time.
and i put on my bathing suit to pull the bicycle to the garage.
no chance to avoid getting wet.
Avatar 5:27pm Cecile:

Guido sounds like Minnesota's month of June.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Guido from Cologne:

Annette Peacock !!!

i lost the announcement, is it that record made before "i'm the one" which was left unpublished at the time?

A World That's Destroying Itself ... i just got a taste ... monsoon in Germany.
Avatar 5:32pm kat330:

@Guido: Our garden could use some moisture, so please send it back to U.S.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Guido from Cologne:

@kat
I'd love to!
We had 3 days rain that heavy tthat the water amount eqals average 1.5 months of rain.
Avatar 5:40pm Cecile:

guido, yes. This is prior to I'm the one and was unreleased until now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm Guido from Cologne:

Thanks Cecile!
That's even more groungbreaking, with "i'm thr one" being the funky easy acess vrsion of the concept.
Avatar 5:43pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

digging.
Avatar 5:43pm Cecile:

I know! It is truly progressive.
Avatar 5:44pm kat330:

I've always wondered why it is we can build pipelines to send oil where we want it, but can't build something as lengthy and elaborate to send water from drenched areas to drought areas.
  5:46pm Dean:

Well, it's only 233 miles, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Aqueduct. (No, the initial "Well" was not an intentional pun.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm fleep:

@kat330 Had the exact same thought this afternoon reading about the local drought, farmers going belly up. How advanced is a civilization that still has to pray for rain?
Avatar 5:46pm Fredericks:

Price per gallon, Kat.
  5:46pm Van Berg:

The strange and wonderful music in this set is doing bad things to my concentration and my writing. I look everything up and get inspired to make music when I'm on a deadline.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm Guido from Cologne:

Annette Peacock interview:
thequietus.com...
Avatar 5:47pm kat330:

Gotta be something beyond the cynical view of "money talks," like evaporation, pollution issues. Because eventually -- not that far off -- water will be this planet's most prized commodity.
Avatar 5:48pm Fredericks:

Yes. The Carlyle Group is well aware of that reality.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm steve:

are there multiple versions of (the song) I'm the One? i swear the version on Youtube which was on repeat in my apartment a few months ago is a little different than this one.
Avatar 5:49pm kat330:

@fleep: Love *your* water .gif (as in gift).
Avatar 5:49pm Cecile:

this is supposedly a previously unreleased versoin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm steve:

thanks Cecile! if this doesn't get reissued again im gonna sell a kidney and buy the LP on Discogs and spoon with it for hours.
Avatar 5:52pm Cecile:

you can get I'm the One on iTunes. They have a lot of OOP stuff, I've noticed.
Avatar 5:53pm Cecile:

I downloaded that and Wings over America today. I don't want to know what that says about my psyche.
  5:53pm P-90:

A.Peacock sounded like she was singing through an old Echoplex tape-loop echo effect, which had a built-in ring modulation circuit. Robert Plant also used it for vocals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm steve:

haha, right. oh but i want the record. to coddle.
Avatar 5:56pm Cecile:

He always laughs during his shows.
And says "I dig it"
Avatar 5:56pm kat330:

Clay, work your wonders next on Bryce.
  5:57pm Q-91:

i am always into my man favbio,,,!!! and i like hearing dusty say hi.....dusty i havent been to listen yourt show in a long time....i wlll correct that this week, looking forward to it,,,!!!!!

Avatar 5:57pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I found Clay's puppet regime in Sedona...
Avatar 5:58pm kat330:

@Fabio: you need to come to Thunder Over Louisville some year.
Avatar 6:00pm Cecile:
