nice Peanut Butter Cup color scheme today
Avatar 12:10pm Diane Kamikaze:

Mmmm peanut butter cups! Damn I am trying to keep healthy! What color scheme would illustrate fresh fruit best?
Avatar 12:11pm Diane Kamikaze:

Dr. Chud on at 1pm. He's got a lot in store, post questions up here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Luna:

Ha, I just ate a mini peanut butter cup. Oops. Here's to HEALTH!
Avatar 12:13pm Diane Kamikaze:

@Luna! I can get behind the mini ones! My freezer is loaded with mint hershey's kisses; they are a delightful little pick me up!

Hey kids what time is it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm chris:

Damn, Diane, these tracks are hitting the spot today. Looking forward to Dr. Chud, too. Got a cup of blueberries from the garden yesterday, and the black berries are ripening... Tomatoes are giving... all sorts of colors for fresh fruit that may not look great together :-)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Luna:

By the way, I have a white screen with yellow font. How do I fix that? I can see shite.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm coe:

'ello folks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm coe:

Hersey's Kisses have always been the worst tease from me. I have to open 5 of them at once otherwise I get really annoyed between the first and second one. I love the candy cane ones.
Avatar 12:23pm V Priceless:

@ chris - I was thinking the same thing - the fresh fruit colors don't seem to work too well together as a color scheme.

Hey coe!
Avatar 12:23pm Cecile:

Luna, it's something IE likes to do.
Avatar 12:23pm Diane Kamikaze:

Hmm, I have brown screen with yellow, hence the peanut butter cup reference...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm Luna:

Who knows? It's happened before. Now I just want slices of lemon in a glass filled with fresh cold water. :)

@Luca, try the Control-A (Select All) command to reverse the colors on screen...
Avatar 12:26pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

i can't swing with any of that candy stuff. Never developed a taste for it. BUT, dark-choc-covered espresso beans are a lovely exception. By the fistful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm chris:

Or just wait until its black... :-)
Avatar 12:27pm Diane Kamikaze:

Changed it to black. Can't have that for some of ya...Everybody REFRESH!!!

Avatar 12:31pm Cecile:

yes. yes you did. sorry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm Stevel:

Lecherous Gaze is climbing up my get-yer'-ass-out-to-the-show list.

Cheri Pi: Proof that exercise is bad.
Avatar 12:32pm Diane Kamikaze:

Although we have been speaking about health, Cheri, staying healthy is no excuse for missing Voivod! I've been frontloading the 'vod on guest days...
Avatar 12:34pm Cheri Pi:

Lesson Learned Diane! It's just not worth it.
Avatar 12:36pm Diane Kamikaze:

I will offer chocolates and potato chips as my premium next year!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Luna:

Avatar 12:38pm V Priceless:

how's about choc-covered potato chips, for that "sweet-salty" thing I can't quite figure out.
Avatar 12:38pm Cheri Pi:

OMG, YES potato chips dipped in chocolate, I could crush a bag of those right now.
Avatar 12:44pm Diane Kamikaze:

That sweet-salty thing is deadly! Yay for deadly!!

Avatar 12:54pm Chris from DC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

GWAR was in the news recently - www.washingtonpost.com...
They're opening a restaurant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm coe:

This song proved to me that what ever anybody felt about moral issues of the Misfits getting back together were good music was good music.
Avatar 1:02pm V Priceless:

Q for the Dr: can you provide any clarification/perspective into the extent of The Misfits attempts to recruit Dave Vanian?
  1:02pm JJ Koczan:

Could be the Jersey in me, but I always thought American Psycho was underrated as a Misfits record. Unbelievably catchy songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm coe:

@jj koczan totally with you

Avatar 1:22pm V Priceless:

Avatar 1:25pm joemisfit:

This interview is great so far!
Avatar 1:26pm V Priceless:

it's like hanging out with the Tesla of the audio world!
Avatar 1:27pm Cecile:

I love Dr. Chud's voice.
Avatar 1:29pm Cecile:

Diane, didn't you see Drumline! :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm coe:

Is there a type of musical project that you have not done that might surprise people that you want to do since you are known for heavier stuff.
Avatar 1:30pm V Priceless:

@ Cecile - there's a touch of Ratso Rizzo in there!
Avatar 1:32pm Cecile:

Avatar 1:34pm Cecile:

Is this the original? It sounds different.
Avatar 1:34pm Cecile:

less compressed
Avatar 1:35pm V Priceless:

Avatar 1:37pm Cecile:

this is the one Patridge Family song that actually is good as an actual song.
  1:37pm Phil from Specific Ocean:

This is a great interview! The Les Paul stuff was precious.
Avatar 1:38pm Cecile:

I know Phil! How sweet of him to take his mom to see Les.
  1:38pm Dean:

Avatar 1:38pm V Priceless:

Avatar 1:39pm Cecile:

hahahhaha, great Queen album that I can't listen to any more.
Avatar 1:40pm V Priceless:

wow - the bestest tune on the record, IMO!
Avatar 1:41pm Cecile:

I kinda really like the Prophets Song too.
Avatar 1:42pm Cecile:

this song is way more homoerotic than I remember, too.
Avatar 1:43pm V Priceless:

I was still running on the fumes of "Sheer" by this time. Though I did like Taylor's car tune too.
Avatar 1:43pm Cecile:

wow, Chud, did you have the same high school years as I did?
  1:44pm Dean:

Not just the same years, I was thinking, but the same high school!
Avatar 1:44pm Cecile:

This is all the tunage I was down with in Australia in '76 and when i came back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm coe:

we kids from the 201 area code pre 1990 had so much music thrown at us from NYC it was crazy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm coe:

especially in the old 076
Avatar 1:49pm Cecile:

Avatar 1:49pm Cecile:

you better be singing along, Kamikaze
  1:51pm Phil from Specific Ocean:

Diane: You should play a cut from the little-known Specific Ocean CD that Chud drummed on. I recommend "Sidewinder."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm chris:

Cecile, around Perth? Did you ever get to see Boys Next Door/Birthday Party down under?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Tome:

WPLJ archives circa 1977 ?
Avatar 1:53pm Cecile:

No. I was in Sydney. 1976. I saw flyers for the Saints and Radio Birdman even though I didn't know who they were and I almost saw AC/DC and I saw Skyhooks.
  1:53pm Dean:

Lord, what I would give to have seen Skyhooks in '76!
Avatar 1:54pm V Priceless:

Avatar 1:54pm Cecile:

It was pretty fucking incredible. It changed my life.
Avatar 1:55pm Cecile:

Ha! I saw that in '77. It was the SHIT in my HS.
Avatar 1:55pm Cecile:

it is my favorite Wings record.
  1:55pm Dean:

Complete the back-announce: "Jet," too.
Avatar 1:56pm Psycho Magnet:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Tome:

Avatar 2:09pm Cecile:

I'm a special snowflake that never really got into Rocks.
Avatar 2:10pm joemisfit:

Catch Dr. Chud on tour next month with Doyle!
Avatar 2:11pm joemisfit:

Ain't nothing like seeing the good Dr. in action.
Avatar 2:14pm Cecile:

I mostly liked the Police drummer because he was ridiculously hot.
Avatar 2:15pm totallybiased:

Dino Danelli
Avatar 2:15pm V Priceless:

Klark Kent Rules! OK Chud! Steppin' outta the prog closet! Woo-hoo!
  2:16pm Dean:

Drummer in '69 was John Silver.

Collins did drum when he fronted the band. Saw him with Bruford backing him up, as well as Chester Thompson. He was a schmaltzy front man, but the doctor is correct: he was one of the best drummers. Taste some of that early Brand X, too.
  2:21pm Dean:

The Nerves
Avatar 2:21pm Cecile:

you are right Dr. Chud.
Avatar 2:21pm Cecile:

The Nerves with Paul Collins and Peter Case.
  2:21pm r i s k y:

Ye it's The Nerves
Avatar 2:24pm joemisfit:

Now I want a Lil Chud Doll that comes with a little baby grand piano.
  2:24pm Chris:

Hey, Orange County NY here. Awesome, I played the Dirt Club in the early eighties. I can't believe I heard Song Remains the Same and Nobody's Fault back to back. FYI, Phil Collins,
four albums after he became singer still played devestating drums. Trick of the Tale, Wind and Wuthering, And Then There Were Three and Duke. Love FMU for about thirty years now, y'all the best.
  2:25pm Ron:

Did you know your old band "Specific Ocean" is now on iTunes? I'm Phil's brother Ron. You recorded the album in our basement. You mastered it down to VHS tape with a digitizer I think. Nice job.
  2:26pm rpressler:

Specific Ocean? Nice to remember the band...and hours spent with Dr. Chud recording basic tracks in Phil's basement.
Avatar 2:26pm Cecile:

I like this song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm coe:

@cecile I agree really digging he Dan Kidney
  2:27pm r i s k y:

YEEEAHHH!!! This album was IT for me growing up!
Avatar 2:29pm joemisfit:

How could anyone not like American Psycho? Those shows were the best back then. Never experienced the same feeling at other shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm coe:

Hopefully at sometime this version of the Misfits does get a bit more recognition for some of the songs they wrote.
  2:29pm DM Jones:

great guest today!
  2:30pm Ron:

Hey Rick! Nice bass playing on "Vinyl & Styrofoam" album. Those were fun times.
  2:31pm DM Jones:

production on Abominator is killer!
Avatar 2:32pm joemisfit:

Yeah, this is a gem of an album. More people need to hear it.
Avatar 2:32pm Cecile:

I just bought Wings Over America on iTunes. Just sharing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm coe:

  2:34pm r i s k y:

Avatar 2:38pm InBrkly:

Adding First Officer Chud to my profile.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm coe:

Doyle dates are on his site right now.
  2:40pm DM Jones:

  2:41pm Ron:

Hear one of Dr. Chuds early albums recorded in a NJ basement old school.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@InBrkly - Station Manager Ken has had the picture favorites for a number of months. Other DJs are picking it up (Marty McSorley, for example). I like that feature, too.
  2:47pm fancylouie:

this interview is excellent in it's duration
