Listener comments!

Avatar 9:03pm listener mark:

Hello! Excellent start.
  9:03pm Ahmad:

Would tweet Morrissey to tell him to tune in right now but that whole thing sadly appears to be a hoax.
Avatar 9:04pm doca:

hi, faye, great start indeed.
  9:05pm JakeGould:

Faye, good Smiths choice to kick this show into gear.
  9:05pm The Brooklyn Kid:

Hi Faye. I'm tuning into your show for the first time tonight
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:06pm Faye:

welcome Brooklynites & others!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:06pm Faye:

Ahmad I didn't even read his account I just new it was a hoax
  9:08pm JakeGould:

So the Mark E. Smith account that putted that Morrissey account as a fake was telling the truth?
  9:09pm Ahmad:

Seems to be gone now.
Swag For Life Member 9:09pm 12539:

Is that a sheep train coming round the bend?
  9:09pm Cooh John:

Finally, time for my Faye-bulous Saturday night soundtrack! Hello my fellow children.
  9:10pm kendra:

I love this song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10pm Faye:

yay Kendra!
Avatar 9:10pm dk:

pop songs the other radio stations are too stupid to know about!
  9:11pm JakeGould:

Now back too important stuff: Faye, are those sheep or is that a train in the GIF?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm Faye:

'zactly dk!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13pm fleep:

Based upon the dots, it appears to be a herd of ellipses.
  9:14pm JakeGould:

I thought they were bullet riddled sheep running away from a bad man.
  9:16pm Cooh John:

@ Jake Gould: how about spotted sausage links on rollers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm Tome:

HI Faye , Hi Kiddles ,, yes indeedy was a SpecTacUlaR day and evening now too here in Brooklyn , & great tunes too !!!
  9:20pm Cooh John:

@ fleep: the rule of three; encased ellipses going round and round
Avatar 9:24pm listener mark:

People who live in red houses don't get much sleep.
  9:31pm Cooh John:

Interesting sibilance from Alan et.al.
Avatar 9:35pm dk:

wow, that montecarlo comp looks amazing. one more thing to dig for at the upcoming record fair.
Avatar 9:38pm Peteski:

I laughed.
Avatar 9:51pm Danne D:

Hi Faye and everyone!

You're show arrived just in time, Faye.
Swag For Life Member 9:51pm 12539:

(Faye, it's "Allen" Clapp.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm Faye:

hi Danne!
Swag For Life Member 9:53pm 12539:

(Now erase my comments and no one need ever know!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55pm Faye:

eh nbd
  9:55pm Cooh John:

Besides Moviephone (Moviefone?) what is your other background music?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm Faye:

movietone. the rest is secret
  9:59pm The Brooklyn Kid:

Hey:-) very nice dreamy song
  10:04pm JakeGould:

Hello and welcome to movie phone! In a world gone mad stands one man...
  10:06pm Cooh John:

JG, are you that man?
  10:08pm Richard from Venezuela:

Hi
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm Faye:

hi richard
  10:12pm JakeGould:

Not right now. Threw my back out. Give me a few days.
Avatar 10:20pm northguineahills:

Faye, are you pitching Woo?
  10:26pm The Brooklyn Kid:

I've never heard Faye before she sounds very young. Not like the other lady dj's
  10:28pm P-90:

Early seventies, early eighties, who cares?
  10:29pm JakeGould:

Early 1880s.
Avatar 10:32pm EzSezz:

Faye, are you getting trashed? No judgement. I am.
  10:34pm P-90:

Yay! It's Upcoming Special Programming Time!
Avatar 10:35pm northguineahills:

I got you beat, EzSezz. (i think)
Avatar 10:36pm listener mark:

I am enjoying a cold adult beverage.
Avatar 10:42pm Danne D:

Hey Richard :)
  10:43pm JakeGould:

ListenerMark, you drinking a Capri Sun?
Avatar 10:43pm northguineahills:

Cool, Chris Forsyth!
  10:46pm Ahmad:

Speaking of adult beverages, I was just reading about Phrosties. http://www.swimmingly.com/relationships/summer/we-ordered-illegal-alcoholic-slushies-from-phrosties-and-barely-lived-to-tell-the-tale/
Avatar 10:52pm northguineahills:

I don't need sugar in my booze. If I need it frozen, I have a blender. Pulque is about as weird as I get w/ alcohol, but the stuff here in NYC doesn't have the right consistency like you get in Mexico City.
  10:53pm Ahmad:

There's also the mystery liquid for $10 factor that's kind of a turnoff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54pm fleep:

Those aren't adult beverages. Adult beverages are amber and you can see through them. Those are candy colored underage rave beverages.
Avatar 10:55pm listener mark:

JakeGould, I'm drinking a Murphy's Imported Stout.
  10:55pm Ahmad:

Sounds very New Zealand.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm Faye:

YYN is decidedly English!
  10:56pm JakeGould:

Phrosties sound like bullshit. Just get a $4.99 bottle if Soju (Korean distiller hooch)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm Faye:

phrosties are completely wonderful & a force of good, take it from me
  10:58pm JakeGould:

The proof on Soju is like 21 to 25 percent. Seriously good cheap drunk.
Avatar 10:59pm EzSezz:

Work is the curse of the drinking classes. Oscar Wilde said that. Or at least that's what the sign at the Irish pub said.
  11:05pm Ahmad:

It's a brilliant business model that appears to be paying off I'll give them that.
  11:07pm JakeGould:

Ahmad, how long will an Instagram alcohol smoothie business model going to last? Anyone know what's in them?
  11:09pm Ahmad:

Yeah I thought "until they get busted" but it was too late. :)
  11:12pm KP:

Hi, Faye
Avatar 11:12pm EzSezz:

This Steven R Smith/Ulaan Khol intro is sad-assed beautiful. Night, Phrosties.
Swag For Life Member 11:13pm 12539:

This will do nicely in place of the weekly Quiet Piano Piece.
  11:18pm KP:

Groovy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27pm Chop Scott:

Faye! Cheers to you, dear. Always happy to be listening to your fine program.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29pm Faye:

hi chop scott!
Avatar 11:32pm Danne D:

Everyone but Nirvana was banned from releasing music in 1991 I believe. Or something.
Swag For Life Member 11:34pm 12539:

1991 was a good year for shoegazing.
  11:38pm P-90:

Betsy Wetsy?!
  11:42pm The Brooklyn Kid:

Faye. Record fair relocation fine. But please no toenails or flash flood warnings
  11:42pm Glenn m:

Hellooo
  11:44pm PJ:

1990/91: Fugazi, Fishbone, Kirsty MacColl, MBV, Sam Phillips, Robyn Hitchcock, U2, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44pm Faye:

HI GLENN
  11:45pm P-90:

@ Danne D.: The Jesus Lizard was the other band allowed to release music in 1991.
Avatar 11:49pm Danne D:

1990 TMBG released Flood :)
Avatar 11:51pm Danne D:

This is nice :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm Fuzzy:

Pixies did Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde -- Surfer Rosa's still my fave though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52pm Fuzzy:

My Friend Goo just says "P-U!"
Avatar 11:54pm northguineahills:

I love rocketship, the second track was a dj fave of mine. The album cover was pilfered from a Reader's Digest record comp (which I saw a few years after this album came out on slumberland recs.
Avatar 11:55pm northguineahills:

Thanks Faye, souper awesomeness!
Avatar 11:56pm Danne D:

Thanks again for such a great show Faye :) Really what I needed tonight.
Avatar 11:56pm Danne D:

Have a good night everyone!
Swag For Life Member 11:56pm 12539:

Thanks as always, Ms Faye.
  11:57pm KP:

Night Faye
Avatar 11:57pm party sub:

great show tonight faye!
  11:58pm P-90:

Awesome, Faye!!!
Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I caught the tail end of tonight's lovely show. The GIF tonight reminds me of a book we had as kids. The lowly trains convinced the arrogant train to chase his own caboose around and around the big hill.
