Anyway - Happy Birthday Bill - a Heinz tinned birthday cake? Can you fit all the candles on it? Just checking!
Avatar 3:34am Bill Mac:

Hey Fran - It's getting to the point where one gigantic candle would be more practical. Good to here that you're being productive.

  3:38am P-90:

Guten TZAG @ Guido and everyone on every side of The Pond

@ DJ Bill Mac: Your birthday horoscope says that in the forthcoming year, you will see new professional and personal opportunities open up. Your social life will be animated, and it's a good year to put energy into a special project; but beware the tendency to be impatient: it can be costly. You share your birth date with Sid Vicious, John Wilkes Booth, Fred Astaire, and Bono.
Avatar 3:38am Bill Mac:

Don't forget Fred Astaire... agh P-90 beat me to it!

My morning's been waving a billhook for couple of hours in the forest phew...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am Fran:

Yes - Cardigan. The local brewery made up a specially labelled Crabstock ale for the day and it was Barley Saturday which means a procession of tractors old and new amongst other things on the day - quite surreal! Sendelica, Earthling Society and Jack Ellister particularly good. Would have loved to do Helsinki or NY.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am Guido from Cologne:

C.A. Quintet got a star-click anyway!
Kinda psychedia persiflage seems like.

Is this set a journey through your most coining musical experiences?
(is coining the right word?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am Fran:

So long as that's not a Bill Mac hook Mauri - its his birthday!!

Avatar 3:52am Brian in UK:

Heck it is EUROVISION.
  3:53am KP:

Well Keith was not there. It went very well, good crowd and they liked us. It was a thrill for me. There's some clips on YouTube. King Penguin + Fruits de Mer + YouTube

Did MOJO include "Duck Stab/Buster and Glen" by The Residents on their list?
  3:54am KP:

Supposedly Fran the goody bag from Wales is going for 600 pounds
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54am Fran:

Brian - I'm going to propose the UK Eurotrash... sorry Vision entry each year will be a reformed prog group so that the UK won't win and you won't watch it or will you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55am Guido from Cologne:

ha ha ha ... I now that C.A. Quintet ... cover very well!
had that in my hands a hundered times and i never bought it!
"This only can be exploitation-trash!"
Avatar 3:57am Jay/London:

You Can See /hear all the Eurvision songs Here If You so wish www.eurovision.tv...
Avatar 3:57am Brian in UK:

@Jay what's new. So pleased Englebert flopped the other year. What an ego. He picked his own songs on Destert Island Discs.

@Fran that can only be an improvement. I love GOOD pop music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am Guido from Cologne:

"Duck Stab/Buster and Glen" is among Residents' best, but not their very weirdest ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am Fran:

It's insane KP - I've not seen £600 but nearly £200 for sure. Its one of these things I have a real rant about - eBay and Record Store Day is another one..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am Stanley:

Morning Bill, everyone.
Aw! Missed It Can't Happen Here.
I'll just play it in my head.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58am Guido from Cologne:

"10 years life imprisonment" on "the green journey"
  3:58am P-90:

BABS made the list?! WTF?
Avatar 3:59am Brian in UK:

"I Wouldn't Leave My Wooden Wife for You Sugar"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59am Fran:

Bill - try the Diamanda Galas and John Paul Jones lp This Sporting Life and also her solo piano concert Malediction and Prayer which is actually very different and special - blues, spirituals and Johnny Cash!
  4:00am Emile:

Loved the C.A. Thing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02am Fran:

I thought that would be your answer Brian! Like you good pop music is good but crap is always crap!
  4:02am Officer Pupp:

The Commitments!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02am Guido from Cologne:

Anyone knows about
Rocked up German Folk Songs Recorded in USA
(actually on a NJ-state based label)
That one is way weird ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03am Fran:

Bill - you mean The Commitments. The best Dark End of The Street is without doubt James Carr.
  4:03am KP:

I always wanted to get that Bongwater album
Avatar 4:04am Bill Mac:

Avatar 4:04am Bill Mac:

@Fran Thanks for straightening my head out on that one...
Avatar 4:05am Brian in UK:

Fran what is the sculpture?
Avatar 4:06am Bill Mac:

@KP - I don't know how I feel about double bummer, even now. The production is very shrill or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06am Guido from Cologne:

i know Bongwater from the promo-copy-poison-bin @ the fanzine i was working for in the 90ies.
Otherwise I'd never heard of them. I'm a poison bin collector.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06am Stanley:

"the Sub basement of Hell " sounds like a bar I know.
Avatar 4:07am Bill Mac:

On the other hand I really like most of the Kramer material.
Avatar 4:07am Brian in UK:

Stanley back to Shades & G Spot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07am mauri:

piss take on beck?
Avatar 4:08am Bill Mac:

@Stanley... a bar you got thrown out of?
Avatar 4:08am Brian in UK:

mauri astute comment.
Avatar 4:09am Brian in UK:

Bill it was a bar he got thrown INTO.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am Wynford Eagle:

Good morning from Dorset. Kramer rocks…just saying...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am Stanley:

@Bill, absolutely. And on the way out I shouted...."I've been thrown out of better places than this"
Avatar 4:12am Bill Mac:

I would like to see that... you're sober! Get in there and don't come out until you've lost control of your bodily functions!
Avatar 4:14am Bill Mac:

@WF - Produced some really good bands back in the day...
  4:15am KP:

Bill, you're 21 already!
  4:15am P-90:

Nice to see The Holy Modal Rounders on the list, their weirdness is underrated. And the Beatles(!). Of course The Residents made the list, but not their most sublimely, willfully weirdest album by far...
Avatar 4:16am Bill Mac:

Goin towards 3 times at this point...
Avatar 4:16am Andy in Berlin:

Is Patches also supposed to be in the weirdness category?
Avatar 4:16am Bill Mac:

I loved The Commercial Album - 40 1-minute songs...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17am Stanley:

Forgive me folks but help me catch up. What list is this?
  4:17am KP:

Ok big argument over Patches. Is this song familiar to US audience? I swear I never heard it in New York
Avatar 4:17am Bill Mac:

@Andy - nah, I thought I should pander to the pop fans out there a bit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18am Guido from Cologne:

Commercial Album was the last real good one from their classic period.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18am Fran:

It was at Yorkshire Sculpture Park two years ago now - its not a Hepworth or Moore but I can't remember off hand which temporary exhibition it was!
Avatar 4:19am Brian in UK:

Stanley, Mojo magazine 50 weirdest albums. No Carpenters though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20am Fran:

Thanks KP - Keith was in Helsinki. I'll look up the footage.
Avatar 4:20am Bill Mac:

The missus was telling me about it this week. It's on my iPod (a black hole of new stuff every time I turn it on). I thought she was talking about McArthur Park or Little Green Apples), then I heard it. In my mind Clarence Carters' only claim to fame was that Strokin song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20am Guido from Cologne:

Before Commercial Album there was Morgan Fishers "Miniatures" (maximum a minute comp).
Coincidence rather than rip-of i guess.
  4:22am P-90:

Glad poor old Skip Spence got recognized too, woulda been a shame not to include him
Avatar 4:22am Bill Mac:

@Guido - yeah, wish I saw them back in the day. Also the Morgan Fisher thing is pretty good too. I loved Andy Partridges History of Rock and Roll. I just realized he appeared on both of them
  4:22am KP:

Fran, was there a fest in London?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23am Fran:

Kramer - The Guilt Trip good - Residents - Not Available is a great lp and I could listen to The Commercial Album - The Art of Being Polite etc watching all the accompanying one minute videos all day!
  4:24am KP:

MJM grew up in Uk. She says patches was massive
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24am Fran:

No London fest this year so far KP. Sendelica come from around Cardigan and were behind the venue I think. A good quirky choice but hard to get to!
Avatar 4:25am ghostofpeterfalk:

Morning Bill & everyone. When I was a kid there were 3 songs that made a lasting impression: Sparks - This Town..Bobbie Gentry - Ode To Billy... And Clarence Carter's Patches, great to hear it again! Loving the show Bill.
  4:25am Mrs. Bill Mac:

@KP - Clarence Carter's Patches was a US hit back in 1970. It's been haunting me for the last 3 weeks. @husband - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Andy Partridges History of Rock and Roll.
I was about to say that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26am Wynford Eagle:

The guilt trip is so awesome….
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27am Guido from Cologne:

went through the Mojo list right now and must say I do not see about the half of it as "weird". Allright, it's a staff-vote -list. That waters the whole thing ...
Avatar 4:27am Bill Mac:

@Guido Beat ya!
@Mrs Tanks! Sorry about cutting a little off the beginning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32am Fran:

Is this a day for Fish Heads to be played?
Avatar 4:33am Brian in UK:

Make what you will of lists. Personally........
Avatar 4:34am Andy in Berlin:

@ Bill - the less said about God Didn't Make Little Green Apples the better. Thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34am Stanley:

Thanks, Brian.
Guido - I'm with you on this.
A heck of a lot of what you hear on WFMU is far weirder than what's on that list.
Weird = good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36am Fran:

Agreed Stanley - the lists are a bit like Calling Stuart Maconie the guardian of all that is freaky and out there....err....no!
Avatar 4:37am Brian in UK:

Mark Kozelek is coming to London if anyone cares.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38am Stanley:

@Bill - you like a good tune, don't ya.
Avatar 4:39am Brian in UK:

Bill got any POPTASTIC toons?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39am Wynford Eagle:

Should of got Julian Cope to compile a list. Maconie is a bit swayed as he has to keep a BBC6 music audience interested and we all know how bad BBC6 is now….
Avatar 4:40am Brian in UK:

Was BBC6 ever Good?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40am Fran:

Weird can be good and often is. Weird can also be awful and its the old word of warning regarding quality control i.e. just because it was released in an original run of 50 on a small label in 1978 doesn't mean its any good.
Avatar 4:41am Brian in UK:

Crispy Ambulance are touring again I believe.
Avatar 4:42am Brian in UK:

Fran totally agree.

The Revs are a bit Marmite.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43am Wynford Eagle:

Julian Cope: www.headheritage.co.uk...

'UNSUNG is a colossal repository of rock‘n’roll writing — a Gnostic Odyssey through lost and forgotten freakouts. Check out Cope’s decade-long Album of the Month; wade through the psychedelically enhanced hard rock visions of the Book of Seth; then take the opportunity to deliver your own worldview of rock‘n’roll free from editorial constraints,

Damn he is good
Avatar 4:44am Bill Mac:

@Brian - whaddya syain? They're yeasty?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45am Fran:

Was BBC6 any good? Its never been great and often rubbish but occasionally reaches a peak of mediocrity which for mainstream UK radio is perhaps ironically to be applauded as an achievement of sorts. BBC Radio 3's Late Junction programme is probably better than many so called esoteric programmes on other BBC channels
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45am Wynford Eagle:

@Brian in UK: Love Crispy Ambulance
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47am Fran:

I know where Brian is coming from regarding Mercury Marmite! I quite like them - far fewer missteps than The Flaming Lips who are so inconsistent and increasingly not interesting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:48am Stanley:

@Fran - I gave up on Late Junction some time ago. It got a bit too "smooth alternative" for me and its obsession with Scandinavian jazz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49am Fran:

Depends on the presenter Stanley - Max Reinhardt is still very good
Avatar 4:49am Bill Mac:

Didn't the Lips make it unto the list for their 4 CD set that you have to cue up simultaneously for maximum listening pleasure? Some great songs but I do not get them.
Avatar 4:49am Brian in UK:

Bill love or hate. Car Wash Hair is Fab. The early stuff on Fresh before Sony came in with the big bucks is good but a bit messy.

@Fran I hate with a purple passion the word esoteric. Had all the early Lips but they have slowly faded. Death Hit best record of the 90s!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50am Stanley:

Fiona Talkington, I seem to recall was the culprit. What was that BBC show of experimental electronic stuff called? I remember the 'artistes' came mainly from Belgium.
Avatar 4:51am Bill Mac:

@Brian - I remember the first time I heard that one. A record store we walked into was playing it.
  4:51am marmalade kitty:

thats why we're here and not @ bbc..
Brian Mathews Sounds of the 60's is a great programme on bbc radio2
Avatar 4:51am Brian in UK:

Ask Bill about the Lips he is the MAN.
Used to have Zaireeka too much hassle, great idea though. All CD players move at a different speed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52am Fran:

The 4CD nonsense Zaireeka was reissued on RSD - my comment to the shopkeeper was to place the 4 CDs in four seperate towns so that it couldn't be bought by some poor fool with more money than sense - although they may then have gone for the ridiculously overpriced Soundgarden box set!
Avatar 4:52am Bill Mac:

@Brian You channel one group from a band and everyone thinks you're an expert.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53am Wynford Eagle:

Well i really liked the Iggy Pop shows, and yes late junction is a bastion of strangeness - been listening for years, like nick luscombe, verity sharpe (where she gone?) but remember the campaign to save bbc 6? well we did save it but they then added all the shite you don't need, and presenters, like the blonde one, but do like giles petersen / keris matthews. BBC Wales puts out a great programme featuring welsh up coming and established bands, and no it's not all manics and stereophonics
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54am Fran:

Yes Fiona Talkington - she is probably responsible for a cohort of British Society going to bed wearing a polo neck sweater to read coffee table books listening to chamber jazz on ECM or similar labels - that isn't to say ECM haven't released good things!! I do long for the days of more maverick BBC DJs such as Andy Kershaw!
Avatar 4:54am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Brian Mark Kozelek coming to London - I care! Although I'd care more if he came to Leeds or Manchester. He is a big favourite of mine. BBC6 could and should be better, but falls short alas and is patience-testingly smug. @Fran re:Weird stuff - I concurr - Sorry I joined these discussions late, that's what happens when you leave the computer for 5 minutes! p.s. I like Stuart Mac, sorry...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56am Fran:

I like Stuart Mac myself - its just that The Freak Zone and Freakier Zone's are about as freaky as Housewife's Choice with Jimmy Young!
Avatar 4:57am Brian in UK:

Radio Mulitkulti out of Berlin is off air now. That was a crime.

@ghostofpeterfalk you are in Huddersfield I believe. This is the other gig so far, a festival.
Avatar 4:58am Brian in UK:

I know the Half Moon in Barking. Good Boozer.
  5:01am marmalade kitty:

Bill do you have "demon arise" by alessandro alessandroni ..spooky little gem!
Avatar 5:01am Brian in UK:

@Fran funnily enough the Zaireeka idea started out in a carpark not quite different towns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02am Fran:

Avatar 5:03am Brian in UK:

Tonsure Rock.
Avatar 5:04am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Fran haha - now Jimmy Young, there was a show! I suspect there has never been a better summation of Fiona Talkington and yes Kershaw was passionate and had an edge about him. When I was a student I got to interview Peel in his home. An exceedingly lovely man! I asked him if Andy would be up to giving me an interview. He said "I wouldn't if I were you, he's in a bad place right now...I didn't bother.
Avatar 5:05am Andy in Berlin:

I saw the Monks a couple of years ago - great show! With special guests The Raincoats and Mark E. Smith, etc.

The Monks - brilliant. The only band where young people never wanted to copy their hairstyle knowing that they might get it naturally in middle age!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07am Fran:

That sounds like a good night Andy!
Avatar 5:07am Bill Mac:

@Brian I'm actually diggin it myself. This is what should happen when I'm out for a week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08am Fran:

Tim Buckley - not weird, just different
Avatar 5:09am Brian in UK:

Jazz is weird.

We are normal and we dig Bert Weedon.
Avatar 5:10am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Andy What state was Mark E Smith in? The last times I've seen him he's become something of a caricature of himself - not good.
Avatar 5:10am Bill Mac:

I should be into this guy more
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12am Fran:

There is jazz and there is jazz Brian. It's such a catch all
Avatar 5:12am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Brian - that is a must! Again thank you. The Monks followed by Tim Buckley, excellent!
  5:13am marmalade kitty:

followed by the pink floyd..
Avatar 5:13am Andy in Berlin:

@ Ghost - I would say he was drunk as a skunk. But then I saw the Fall about a year or so later and he seemed in decent shape. The friend who I went with thought they weren't very good but I enjoyed them thoroughly.
Avatar 5:14am Andy in Berlin:

addendum - the last referring to the Fall, not The Monks.
Avatar 5:16am Bill Mac:

I did play some Bert Weedon within the last year, so I'm hip to the reference AND the artist
Avatar 5:17am Brian in UK:

@Fran saw William Parker, Hamid Drake & John Dikeman last Wednesday very uplifting. What a drummer is Hamid. Then Nick Lowe & John Doe on Thursday. And the car passed its MOT. So a satisfactory week all in all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17am Stanley:

Bill, you're with it.
Avatar 5:18am Brian in UK:

So the Bonzoes are normal? Comedy is never taken seriously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19am Fran:

I remember seeing the Fall supporting The Magic Band a few years ago and Mark E. was prowling drunkenly annoying the rest of the band by twanging and hitting things as they were trying to play - I'm amazed the drummer didn't paradiddle him to death!
Avatar 5:19am Brian in UK:

Love the expression 'You are as bright as a Toc H lamp'
Avatar 5:19am Bill Mac:

They really misssed the boat on that one. I've heard them mentioned in the same sentence as the Mothers
Avatar 5:19am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Andy Mark E has always been something of a loose cannon live, but last year he was in really a rather tragic state and at one point asked the audience ‘Why arrah ya laffin ah’?’
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20am Guido from Cologne:

Coming back from shoping and thinking abou Mutantes ... and what plays Bill us?
Avatar 5:20am Andy in Berlin:

@ Brian - I would say that in proper context the Bonzos are very much normal :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20am Wynford Eagle:

just too much weirdness in my life to tell. i've got about 10 of the albums listed, but for me the most recent incarnation of 'something strange and beautiful has to be lonnie holley. Oh, don't get me started on Tim Buckley…he's never far from my mind, or turntable
Avatar 5:21am Andy in Berlin:

@ Ghost - well he is a big boozer and all that that impies
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22am Fran:

I was there at Cafe Oto Brian and yes amazing stuff. As a very inferior drummer who still tries, Hamid is sensational but I love William Parker and John Dikeman's work too - I posted a few photos on my Facebook page if you are interested - nothing great but evocative!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23am Wynford Eagle:

my bro' was tour manager on a Fall tour in the US, when Mark sacked all the band mid tour, after a massive fight on stage..
Avatar 5:24am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Fran haha - he does seem obsessed with irritating the hell out of every member of the band. He must be a rather troublesome band-leader, which I expect explains why there have been around 4000 and counting members...
Avatar 5:24am Brian in UK:

@Andy well it is certainly true now as they tour as Three Bonzoes and a piano. Sad.

@Fran sorry to miss you, what a pair of lungs on Mr Dikeman. Not tuned into Facebook. Great venue saw Lonnie Holley there afore Christmas.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24am Guido from Cologne:

what is weird bout Axis exept for the beginning of the album?
(refering to the Mojo List)
  5:24am marmalade kitty:

great set! thanks, Bill.
Avatar 5:25am Brian in UK:

@Guido I think it was the cost of the album cover at the time.
Avatar 5:26am ghostofpeterfalk:

This is a great set Bill!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26am Fran:

The Fall have always been important here in Rochdale having recorded at Cargo studios in early years. I remember the joy of being in a hip record shop in Barcelona several years back when Rowche Rumble came on - yes!!
Avatar 5:26am Bill Mac:

Same with Funkadelic I always thought the album cover was interesting
Avatar 5:26am Brian in UK:

Bill, had to be.
Avatar 5:27am Bill Mac:

@GOPF Thanks, it works doesn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27am Guido from Cologne:

You tell me my own thoughts abozt maggot brain.
Avatar 5:27am Bill Mac:

Damn bass in this tune sounds great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28am Wynford Eagle:

Ramases - Space Hymns:
'One glance at the grammatically challenged and logic-dodging sleevenotes will convince you that Mister Ram (Martin to his Earth Mum) was a couple of coins short of a hexagram. Sounding like a Norwegian Eurovision entry on "Oh Mister", a druggy New Seekers on "And The Whole World", and Reg Presley singing over a Unicorn-era Bolan backing on "Quaser One", this is a genuine prog-oddity. It would be nice to report that he's thrusting religious pamphlets at passers-by as we speak, but apparently he committed suicide in the 1990s. The future 10cc provide punchy production and some meaty beaty backing.

Ramases - a guilty pleasure and I have just taken delivery of the new 6 disc box of all Ramases ever did!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am Guido from Cologne:

Oh I see :
it's the non-weird section from the weird list.
100% aggree
Avatar 5:30am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Fran That must've been a great moment.
Avatar 5:31am Bill Mac:

@Fran You got that? You know we have it here. What a nice unexpected present.
Avatar 5:31am Brian in UK:

@Wynford Eagle You might like this from last week on FMU
Avatar 5:31am Bill Mac:

@Guido - Yeah, I don't need any controversy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32am Fran:

It is my weekend listening Bill - when I saw it was coming out I had to have it before it disappears!
Avatar 5:32am Brian in UK:

You know what they say 'the wrong Clinton got in the White House'.
Avatar 5:33am Brian in UK:

Fran check that link too at 5:31.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33am Fran:

Oh yes GOPF
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34am Guido from Cologne:

... while i must admid, that Os Mutnates eclipse the majority of 60ies psych/prog/abitious albums quality-wise
(topped only by second Gilberto Gil album - in which they were involved though)
Avatar 5:35am Andy in Berlin:

@ Brian - Much as I like and respect PFunk, I'm not sure we're ready for a George Clinton presidency
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36am Fran:

Early Gal and Caetano have their moments?
Avatar 5:36am Bill Mac:

@Guido _ I remember the first time I heard Mutantes too. I ran out and got the Best of collection that David Byrne was involved in
Avatar 5:37am Brian in UK:

Gordon Jenkins did alot of Sinatras arranging along with Nelson Riddle. Been humming Cottage for Sale this week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37am Fran:

Cheers Brian
Avatar 5:38am ghostofpeterfalk:

@Brian - i just checked out that 5.31 link - that looks like a belting show! Complete with a Broadcast tune from Tender Buttons a much underrated record. Loved that Gordon Jenkins version of Ain't Misbehavin' Bill.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39am Wynford Eagle:

@Fran: Quasar One don't you know
That I'd touch the sun
just for you, just for you

Quasar One don't you know
That I'd touch the sun
just for you, just for you

My friend had to leave the house when this was playing - it freaked him out so much.

I got the vinyl off ebay for about $50…..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39am Stanley:

I was exposed to Spike Jones, when I was a child.
Well, that's my excuse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40am Wynford Eagle:

@Brian in UK: thanks for the link!
Avatar 5:40am Brian in UK:

Where's my breakfast?

So was I Stanley, has Cocktails for Two on 78rpm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40am Fran:

Wynford - Ramases is clearly the new 'Wyatting'!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42am Guido from Cologne:

"Os" is simply the "The" in Brazilian band names
Avatar 5:43am Brian in UK:

Stanley it took me years to realise that the funny noise in the middle was three people, I tried making it on my own used to tie me in knots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46am Guido from Cologne:

best years of German Schlager before nazis cut all balls off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46am Fran:

With being missing for a few weeks I haven't said what a great listen your DJ Premium is this year Bill - so now I have!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46am Wynford Eagle:

@Fran: yes i do this all the time in pubs in east london, who usually have a few strange albums on the jukebox - due to the local demographic. The shout goes out 'who put this shit on'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47am Stanley:

There were so many funny noises. But I know the ones you mean.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48am Guido from Cologne:

"beautiful Lisa" ... just in case of interest ...
Avatar 5:49am Bill Mac:

Thanks G
Avatar 5:49am Brian in UK:

Don't you just love people that tell you how great is the DJs premium when you are still waiting?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50am Wynford Eagle:

Maybe should have done 2 lists - UK and US
Avatar 5:51am Bill Mac:

I HATE THAT!!! and it's always the DJs fault :)
Avatar 5:51am Brian in UK:

Bill, have a great day you deserve it pal. Best to the missus.
Avatar 5:51am Jay/London:

been here all the time bill but busy getting rid of stuff in the flat hope you have a great birthday as great as your show was today
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52am Fran:

Wonderful although as a massive Robert Wyatt fan I want to defend the use of his name and propose Waddywaddying instead - sounds right to me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52am Fran:

Sorry Brian!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52am Stanley:

What? Brian, you haven't gone to the download page yet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52am Stanley:

Fran just kidding howe much.
Avatar 5:55am Brian in UK:

Avatar 5:56am Bill Mac:

In seriousness enjoy the day
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Stanley:

Hi Jay. Thought you'd be around.
Thanks Bill
Terrific show, today. Loved the theme we got going, too.
But remember, folks, you don't have to be weird to be weird.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Guido from Cologne:

... it's worth a couple of revolutions on yer turntable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58am Fran:

Stanley - it helps if you are wired though!
  5:58am marmalade kitty:
