I'm waiting for your recording of you giving Nachum a cab ride around town, like the time with Liz Berg.

Hmm.... ... Humm humm hmm hmm hmm

As i lay waking up and feeling the repetive motion of a start of A day.....As words start my collective mind, my body seems to follow why so eagerly often the body beat's it's own rythm and pulse as my ghatered thoughts are in what seems to be some sort of pirates strongly suggesting "to walk the plank" to the seemingly sad sea.

I used to like Jethro Tull when younger. Then, I became tired of them and ignored them. Now, is it time for a revival?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am Ken From Hyde Park:

Proofreader is off today. Should've said "a Jerthro Tull concert" there.
Avatar 9:39am TDK60:

You know, a few Fairport Convention members once gigged with Jethro Tull, just for the work? There is that Olde English connection. Hee.

You know in the Sones ' Rock and Roll Circus that it's Tony Iommi playing guitar with Tull, right? www.youtube.com...

Roam! This song just fills me with nostalgia. Had a girlfriend upstate that lived by Kate Pearson's trailer-park resort, Kate's Lazy Meadows. Such voices those two have!
  9:57am Elwyn:

excellent song. I am going to need to watch the good but cheesy video on YouTube later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00am mariano:

Brian Turner also did a great 1974 show a while back. It was a great year for music, not to mention film.

New to me! Interesting!
Have to check it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Ken From Hyde Park:

Where do we go to get Ramen pizza?
Avatar 10:21am bibi:

guido, i suggest soba with crushed ice on it. so far from our western habits in noodles...
Avatar 10:22am bibi:

ken, dont let them suffer this gif again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am Guido from Cologne:

.... well, the have sweet gnochi (Nockerln) in Austria ...
... warm or with ice cream ... flambé with liqueur ...
... what makes up the specific western habit of noodles?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am Guido from Cologne:

... allright I must check ramen and soba ... on the agenda ...
Avatar 10:29am bibi:

come on guido, like you eat cold noodles with crushed ice on it everyday.
but that nockerln/ice cream thing looks totally scary, i'll go check it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am Guido from Cologne:

tried deep-fried spaghetti ?
Looks like rusty wire ...

Nockerln ... if you catch the right restaurant ... it's an explosion of taste.

I'm just puzzled where to get those Noodles with out going poor ....
... I mean Japanese restaurants and their prices in Germany ...
Avatar 10:42am KP:

Awesome Kinks, Chris
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am mariano:

@bibi: That's the first fractal pizza I've ever seen! And yes, what KP said, hard to go wrong with some Kinks!
Avatar 10:43am Davee:

Avatar 10:43am KP:

Domestic "Sorrow"!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Guido from Cologne:

Kinks and noodles ... delicious!
Avatar 10:45am KP:

Mariano, in that clip only Ian Anderson is live. Rest are lipsynched, including Iommi
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am mariano:

@Guido/bibi: as a kid, I lived in Honduras, where there are many Palestinians. I remember a couple of times staying with friends of mine whose families made incredible Palestinian food, including some sort of dessert pasta whose name I can't remember. Nobody else I've ever asked about it knows what I'm talking about!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am mariano:

@KP: No way! Is that true of other clips in the Circus? Please don't tell me Dirty Mac was all prerecorded as well!
Avatar 10:49am bibi:

ok mariano, where havent you lived ?!!
i saw some doc lately, they look to have skills for desserts down in palestine. too fat, too sweat, so with no doubt good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am Guido from Cologne:

since i go for the Libanese food anyway ...
... i'll do no wrong with the Palestinensian I guess.
Avatar 10:51am bibi:

ok, i dont know nockerln, i dont know palestinian dessert pasta, and i dont know that mbv track... whats that glider ? an ep ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am Guido from Cologne:

Glider is an EP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am Guido from Cologne:

One of those EPs they put out since they couldn't finish the album the would become Loveless.
Avatar 10:53am KP:

Only Tull, because of the sub guitar, i guess. The rest is gloriously live as far as i know, Mariano.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am mariano:

@bibi and Guido: yes, I've been a nomad for sure. Quite a few Lebanese in Honduras as well, the food is very similar. One last thing on sweets then back to music, bibi, since you mention it: one of my most vivid memories is of homemade Palestinian baklava right out of the oven, to this day my mouth waters when I think of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Ike:

Dessert pasta? You mean like vermicelli payasam?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am Guido from Cologne:

... I'm gonna look for Plaestinensian Baklava ... though .... we have so much Turkish here ... will i recognize it as such?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am Rectitude:

Soo when was the last time somebody ate at Burger King?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am sinister dexter:

hello Chris and fellow listeners , greetings from grand rapids michigan , great to be here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am mariano:

Hi Ike! Good guess, I need to research. Guido, I'm sure there's not much difference between Turkish and Palestinian baklava: it's one of those things every Mediterranean country claims to have invented!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am Ike:

Hey hey. Actually, payasam is Indian as far as I know, but I'm wondering if the Palestinian dessert pasta might be similar.
Avatar 11:06am bibi:

@mariano, thats the thing i saw some palestinian kids eating, and it looked awesome.
  11:07am Nick Name:

Rewind (that cd/mp3?) selecta!
  11:07am skeelex:

hey this sounds like dubstep at double the speed!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Ike:

@bibi, mmm, some kind of semolina dessert. I've seen that around here in Astoria and Paterson, areas that are largely Lebanese.

PLAID! Yeah!
Avatar 11:11am bibi:

ho, new plaid ? im so out of date. thk you chris.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am mariano:

@bibi: Yum! @Ike: as I recall, it was drier, no real sauce, just vermicelli with something almost like a sweet glaze. My friend's grandmother who served it to me patiently explained to me that it was in fact a dessert when I didn't believe her (I was probably 8), and she even had me repeat the Arabic word to her, but I forgot!

Great show last night, by the way, Nick: I was listening but catatonic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15am Rectitude:

  11:16am Listener Johnny:

Chris M., what is the background music you play when you are speaking? Thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am mariano:

@Rectitude: Since you ask, I'll confess. Got really drunk a few nights ago and had some McD. If I were a good Catholic I'd probably go confess it!
Avatar 11:17am Chris M.:

@Listener Johnny: it's a remix of Observatory Crest by Captain Beefheart
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Ike:

@Rectitude, where? Bolivia? Iceland? Fast food is so ubiquitous here, and one of the reasons so many of our fellow Americans are so obese. Those sugary white bread buns on the burgers... ugh. My skinny pale white butt is more substantial.
