Live performance by Mark Fosson
After his home recordings were unearthed for the album "Digging in the Dust" for the Tompkins Square label, Mark Fosson has been getting some well deserved recognition for his other body of work as a singer-songwriter. In 2005 Fosson released a solo project, "Jesus on a Greyhound", a fine showcase for his rich baritone and fingerstyle guitar work. Mark Fosson made a special day trip up from his Maryland home to play some tunes for Irene on WFMU.

Noodling for catfish is nuts. Noodling for snapper turtle is beyond the pale.
Avatar 1:27pm Whooda:

I guess that's why I've never heard another song about noodling for snapper turtles, those guys don't have enough fingers left to play an instrument.
  1:28pm Krystal Sieradzki:

This Sunday, April 27th, will be a BMX bike jam at the Bloomfield Skate Park to benefit my husband, Matthew Sieradzki, who recently sustained a brain injury after having a heart attack. It will be from 12-5 and is sponsored by Red Bull, there will be giveways and raffles with all proceeds going to benefit my husband and our family for medical and living expenses. Sunday April 17th, 2014 Bloomfield Skate Park, JFK Drive in Bloomfield, NJ from 12-5.

@Whooda - I think Johansen is just a guest. I am curious to see what they do together, though. My company's providing some backline, but unfortunately, I won't be on the job.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Sean in Bristol UK:

Great, great set from Mark, thank you
Avatar 1:49pm Whooda:

@Mike East, i was just thinking how appropriate those two are together at this point in their lives. More in common than in difference.

@Thanks for the live gig DJ Irene Trudel and Mark Fosson. Really nice to listen to (even if you don't have a new movie, book, cleaning product, kitchen gadget or recording to plug :)

Never heard of this "Bonnaroo" thing before, but noticed the massive lineup for it in a local paper. I see that the Cloud Nothings are playing it. Wonders if that includes Ryley? Oh, and Nick Cave!

I'm curious where I might find that recording by the Blue Ridge Entertainers--is it on a collection of some sort?
