Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm cklequ:

You're just being modest.
  9:32pm JakeGould:

Effing Bride of Frankenstein. Every year. She’s not even technically the “bride” of Frankenstein. She was given life, took one look at Frankenstein. Screamed. And that was that. It was like “Horrible First Date of Frankenstein.”
Avatar 9:32pm KK:

Thanks for promoting the alien she exhibit. I'm part of a project called Interference Archive in Gowanus, a block from the Bell House, and donated some materials to the Riot Grrl exhibit at Vox Populi.
We've got tons of social movement culture and ephemera in our space. It's free and open to the public!
Come by!

Avatar 9:44pm doca:

Does anyone uses the new Android app? How can I listen to the archives on it?
Avatar 9:44pm Faye:

yeahh it was great Michele!! @kevlicki oh wow!! RIGHT it's called Alien She! I'll announce that on the air next break. I've noticed Interference Archive when I've been to the bellhouse & have been really curious about it. I'll stop by very soon!!
  9:44pm kevlicki:

Scuse the "self-promotion" I got excited to tell folks in this context.
I'm proud of the project and like WFMU it's user supported and all volunteer-run!

  10:04pm ashram dude:

Swag For Life Member 10:04pm 12539:

@doca, but the archives don't go too far back for many shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm cklequ:

@kevlicki: I'm coming down from the jungles of Providence, RI for the experimental taxidermy contest at the Bell House tomorrow, and i've got time to kill before the show. And after. Lots of time to kill. Thanks for the info. If my train schedule is at all accurate, i should have time to visit.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31pm mariano:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31pm pacific standard simon:

That's when I reach for my Rubber Soul...
Avatar 11:34pm Sunbeam Tiger:

@JakeGould I think the $17. entrance fee is pretty minor considering I'll learn how to make my own squirrel lamp.

@Faye Get Smart drove one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm pacific standard simon:

Avatar 11:38pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

These steamed hams seem awfully similar to the hamburgers served across the street at Krustyburger.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40pm mariano:

Wow, Small Factory and Blueboy, real forgotten-heroes of early 90s indie, very nice!
Avatar 11:41pm Whooda:

The music is making me very happy I took good care of my ears.
Avatar 11:45pm listener mark:

Thank you Faye. Plain and simple another outstanding episode of "Hello Children with Faye." Hope you feel better!

Avatar 11:49pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

For further information on 90s indie rock of this type when this show is over, I recommend the definitive document:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Now that I think about it, I once worked with a guy named Joe Kupiec from Utica. He lives in Rhinebeck, NY, just north of here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm mariano:

@Pete: that's awesome, thanks! So many names I don't know, amazing what I missed first time round.
Avatar 11:52pm Whooda:

@Pete from Boston Thanks for that link.
Avatar 11:54pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

When that show happened, it was funny that someone was doing a "90s" show.

Douglas Wolk did some tremendous shows, much as Faye is doing today.
Avatar 11:56pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

BTW, in Connecticut (New Haven, Meriden) they serve steamed hamburgers. At least one place claims to have invented the hamburger. They have a special machine and everything up there. I can take or leave them, but... hey, steamed hams.
Swag For Life Member 11:57pm 12539:

Thanks, Faye. Be well, and good luck with the accountant.
