Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm pacific standard simon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm Daniel Blumin:

PSS, yuppo! Long strings recorded in a church... No other info given...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm pacific standard simon:

Nice. I like things recorded under vérité circumstances... used to have a trumpet record made in a concrete sewer pipe.
Avatar 8:36pm Droll:

. o O ( What have they done to FZ? )
  8:39pm ms_a:

Good evening Daniel!

You weren't kidding: www.youtube.com...
I don't understand the note at 6:20, but that's not really a problem. I'll have to check out Part I.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm Daniel Blumin:

Greets, ms_a! How goes it this Sunday evening?
  8:54pm ms_a:

the day had an improving trajectory, DB...
  8:55pm ms_a:

...particularly because it's ending with yr show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58pm Rhody Chris:

The beginning of this sounded a lot like my marching cadence in high school band.
  9:05pm GM:

Onboard, cap'n!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09pm Ike:

Sounding good, Der Bloominator!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15pm Daniel Blumin:

Hallooooo, GM and Rhody! Thanks fer the kind werds, ms_a! Danke sehr, Herr Ike! Hope you are engaging in a shimmy at the very least!
  9:20pm Rooftop Partytime:

This shit is tripping me out. I dig it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm Daniel Blumin:

As long as you too, RP, are shimmying all is good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Ike:

I was buying groceries at Trader Joe's in Clifton a few hours ago and the checkout dude saw my FMU shirt and was like, "That's my favorite radio station! Sometimes they play stuff that sounds like the Earth turning, for, like an hour and a half."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30pm Daniel Blumin:

Now that's what I call a pull-quote, Ike!
Avatar 9:31pm dk:

stephen vitiello's another one of those artists i'll just never get enough of. thanks for playing this!
Avatar 9:35pm Droll:

. o O ( WFMU, Sometimes they play stuff... for, like an hour and a half. )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm Daniel Blumin:

Sure thing, DK! He's got more shtuff on the way in 2014, too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39pm Ike:

He also said he likes Shut Up Weirdo. So his tastes pretty much run the gamut.
  9:42pm jeff-m:

I actually like this Jaap Blonk.
I used to refer to him as the compilation killer whenever i used to get a a Staalplaat V/A in the early and mid-90's. Maybe because it's just not his voice.
  9:50pm GM:

Jeff - love the notion of a comp-killer. I can think of a bunch of metal bands that fit the bill on certain labels' compilations...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm Nardo:

Great show! May have to grab that Axemen reissue.
Avatar 9:55pm dk:

i always kinda liked the inevitable room-clearing outlier tracks on most comps. think of 'em as palate-cleansers. jarring inconsistency can keep a comp from stretching out into dreary uniformity.
  9:55pm jeff-m:

ha, in fairness- I just didn't get it either. The point or the history / lineage of it. I was too young :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55pm mariano:

What a lovely arc from the amorphous and dreamlike back into the world of form!
Avatar 9:57pm Droll:

Thanks Cap'n Blumin! Have a fun week!
Swag For Life Member 9:57pm 12539:

Thanks, Daniel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Daniel Blumin:

Thanks Nardo, Mariano, Droll, Comp Killah Jeff-M, Papa 12539, and the restayas! Congrats Manhattan Jeremy fer winning the Unsound fest tickets! A fancypants week to all!
