Avatar 8:08pm glenn:

hmmm. well, i've been working out some b.b. king stuff. maybe all the caffeine will help me get close to his vibrato technique.

℅ WFMU, I need a brain surgeon to scrawl that across my frontal lobe.

Rynac: used to live in Omaha, first at N 38th Av close to the Joslyn Castle, then on Park Av by Hanscom Park. Was sad to see Mr C's closed down a while back.
Swag For Life Member 8:24pm 12539:

@Gum, I believe that was Andrew Bird, "Skin."
Swag For Life Member 8:25pm Rynac:

Mariano - know the area well - I'm actually renovating a house at 40th and Webster. Joslyn - Cathedral area is a beautiful section of "old" Omaha.
Avatar 8:26pm Bethany Ryker:

I just updated the playlist to include Mr. Bird

I'm really enjoying the selections . . . Ensecu is the the 4th composer on tonight's program that is new to me.
Avatar 8:36pm ranjit:

Respighi always sounds to me like the soundtrack to a cyclorama in a neglected museum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm mariano:

Rynac: yeah, I love that area, and Dundee. I'm a UNO grad too, used to wait tables at V. Mertz. Wow, memories! Moved away in '93, so I'm sure it's a lot different now, especially the Market.
Avatar 8:47pm ! I X Key !:

& they all went grazing, & it all went crazing
& the man in the back said everyone attack! & it turned into a ballroom blitz
Avatar 8:53pm ranjit:

There's an interesting clunking sound in this Shoot. Are they drumming on their viols?
Avatar 8:56pm Bethany Ryker:

Yep. tapping on the bodies of the instruments.
Avatar 8:58pm Droll:

Bethany, Thanks for the wonderful tour of all the neglected museum cyclorama music.
Avatar 8:58pm ! I X Key !:

That's a nice thing to ask!
I had been wondering the same thing!
Swag For Life Member 8:59pm 12539:

Don't these composers know you only have an hour?

Thanks, Bethany.
