Yay! #1!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am Uncle Michael:

The under-sung Walker Bro...
  11:03am Jay:

The WHOLE Gary Walker & the Rain LP is fantastic...check out the rest! In the 1960s it was released only in Japan, but has been re-issued multiple times/formats since the 1990s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am Uncle Michael:

I agree, Jay.
  11:05am Jay:

Actually, I suspect John Walker's solo LP is more overlooked. It kind of copies Scott's style.

That Tommy Trent reminds me, certified mail pick up at the post office, hope it ain't a letter from the IRS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am Uncle Michael:

That Tommy Trent is music right in my wheel house that I hadn't heard before...which is possibly the best thing there is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am Uncle Michael:

Put my Slurpee down.
Avatar 11:14am glenn:

which song on raising sand steals the riff from take a look? i can't remember off the top of my head.
Avatar 11:15am glenn:

well, there's no law that says you have to pick up certified mail, as far as i know.
  11:15am JakeGould:

This is really an excellent version of “Hang on Sloopy.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Uncle Michael:

The Attractions happened!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am Uncle Michael:

Also...EC got five years of writing out of his system on the first album and then didn't suffer a sophomore slump.
  11:20am Baby:

EC got better and better. Till he didn't.
Avatar 11:22am Juke Joint Jonny:

Four Five Times — Are there any bad versions of this little gem?
Avatar 11:23am Michael Shelley:

no bad versions
  11:23am Eric:

the Elvis Costello version of it is pretty bad
  11:24am Baby:

You just can't croon Four or Five Times.
Avatar 11:27am Jimmy Wipper:

Best kids song/video ever.

The great distinct sound of They Might Be Giants
Avatar 11:37am Parq:

Pearlie Mae!
Avatar 11:40am Juke Joint Jonny:

So who has broken the code? There's some kind of numerical cypher contained in the playlist, I'm convinced. 2-4-6-8, a mile, four or five, Apt. 4 15 years…?
  11:43am Marc:

Do the Mets have fans?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am mariano:

Interesting, this numbers thing...
  11:48am Kiki&Greg:

A rare Sunday off and it's gonna be a WFMU listening marathon here in Hoboken!
Avatar 11:49am Parq:

Mmm, the coffee is extra-good this morning. I'd say the same about this show, but truth is, it's always this good.
Avatar 11:51am Michael Shelley:

Advert for 'Women, Ladies and Girls (Sing the Bucky Songbook)'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am mariano:

@Juke Joint Jonny: Da Da Da looks suspiciously like Morse code...
Avatar 11:58am Juke Joint Jonny:

My thought too. Where's Alex Jones when we need him?
  12:01pm Ms Curious:

What was/is the Johnny Rivers beat?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm mariano:

Dorsey, Prima: thanks for the detour to New Orleans! I'm from there way back when, but I haven't been back in a few years, unfortunately.
  12:04pm Ms Curious:

Also, more Bucky!
