FLCL is amazing, but I REALLY hate this song ;).
Avatar 10:21am Keili:

@SeanDaily, @!IXKey!, @probablyjohn - FOOLYCOOLYFURIKURIIIIII. I've loved the pillows since they released that song in 2000, but never really thought to play it. I like it, and the videos cuuuute <3

@probablyjohn - WHY HAAAATE
Avatar 10:22am bibi:

this sounds a lot like death from above, just less offensive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23am Greg from Bloomfield:

This sounds like after school in the 90s. I approve.
Avatar 10:26am ses:

I love that I've never heard any of this music before - but it's all GR--EEATT!!
Avatar 10:26am Keili:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am Guidooooo (CoLoLogne):

what happens if this song matures?
Will it delete itself?
Avatar 10:27am probablyjohn:

@Keili, I dunno, maybe it's just overexposure from watching FLCL on dvd over and over, back in the olden times.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am Guidooooo (CoLoLogne):

I thought this group's name was
Brother Grimm & the Seven Dwarfs ???
(Just kidding)
Avatar 10:30am ses:

@ ! I X Key ! - my sentimentality of the 90's stems from already having left school for a decade = old (ish)
  10:31am JakeGould:

Meet the new song. Same as the old song. Won’t get fooled again. “The Who.” Rock & roll.
Avatar 10:31am Keili:

I was single digits in the 90s.
I'm terribly sorry,

  10:39am JakeGould:

Wookie summer camp would probably be a very smelly place.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am Greg from Bloomfield:

And it would more than likely take place on the Wookiee's home world of Kashyyyk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am Guidooooo (CoLoLogne):

I used to envy people who consciously experienced the roaring 60ies (me being single digits back then). But often enaugh I have been told tat (depending on where one lived) the 60ies weren't that roaring or could have been a pretty tough times for certain individuals. I'm about to believe them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

Hey everybody!

I probably should be in bed since I am dying from a cold.
Avatar 10:44am fred von helsing:

@guido the 70s sucked
  10:44am JakeGould:

The 60s were fine. But when people refer to “the 60s” it really means late 1960s to early 1970s. In contrast the 1980s was 100% in the 1980s. THE MORE YOU KNOW!
Avatar 10:46am Keili:

When I refer to the 60s, I almost always explicitly mean 1963.
  10:47am JakeGould:

1963 is when my family first came to America so I refer to that as “In the beginning…”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am common:

i always want it to be 1975
  10:48am JakeGould:

Also, Fred Von Helsing, I beg to differ. I was 10 years old in 1978 and the time when I was 10 years old was far superior to your time as a 10 year old.
Avatar 10:49am fred von helsing:

when they kept pulling A.M. hits off of Peter Frampton's album instead of Genesis's I knew popular music was utterly doomed. When Dinosaurs Ruled The Charts (TM).
Avatar 10:50am fred von helsing:

@KG sounds like you missed the worst of the 70s! Finally punk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

What? You don't like my filthy moustache, Keili?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am Guidooooo (CoLoLogne):

70ies also sucked me.

i would have completely hated the 80ies if not for my own activities.

clasic post-punk-period 1978/82 was exiting.
afterwards everything seemed to doom.
that's why i don't like much of the music of that period, which should have been the soundtrack of my live.

the 90ies were kind of relief from a curse in the music world with a lot of innovations goung on.
Avatar 10:53am fred von helsing:

Siouxsie Sioux ruled the 80s wisely

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54am Greg from Bloomfield:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56am common:

agree with you both, guido and fred. 80s were hell except for some music. i still say 1975
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56am Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

Sorry Keili. The early 2000s was when I realised how much music sucked. In particular, blockbuster music soundtracks became dominated with shitty nu-metal songs - a form of cross promotion that was soulless and awful.
Avatar 10:56am ses:

@chris - ohh the mental picture!

HEY. Just hepped the folks on Dougs playlist to my dashi recipe and thought some peoples on this list might be interested (looking at you Keili!):

5 cups water
4" piece of dried kombu
1/2 cup bonito flakes or 1/2 oz of dried shitakes

Bring kombu and mushrooms to boil. Remove kombu before boil. Simmer 5 minutes. If using fish flakes, add when you remove kombu, turn off heat and let sit until flakes sink. Strain.

You're welcome.
