The flag ceremony of the Olympics makes it look like the athletes are emerging from a suburban two car garage. It's reported that there are surveillance cameras in the showers of the hotel in the village.
Avatar 9:17pm Whooda:

DJ Pseu it's been months since I've been able to listen live. Glad to be 'hear'.

I think the Google doodle is a stab at Russia with a Gay theme shout-out to the Olympics
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm fleep:

The quote underneath includes "without discrimination of any kind" so absolutely
Avatar 10:41pm Whooda:

Thanks Fleep. I've mostly weened myself away from Google (Windows is next) I have seen the doodle on news sites but didn't read about it.

Avatar 11:06pm JakeGould:

You know what ends discrimination? Google doodles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06pm sugarwolf:

If I didn't have to get up early tomorrow, I would watch that Creation doc tonight.
Avatar 11:14pm Murph 37:

love this..
  11:16pm P-90:

@Whoodoo: Ehen you say you're "weaning" youself from Windows as well as Google, does that mean you're switching to Mac OS full-time?
Avatar 11:17pm Whooda:

@P-90 I plan to take the dive into Unix as soon as I can grow an electronic pair of balls.
Avatar 11:19pm JakeGould:

Just use Ubuntu & make people think you are crazy.
Avatar 11:21pm Whooda:

@Jake Good advice. I don't do the NSAFacebook or any other social media so I have nothing to lose.
  11:22pm P-90:

You mean Linux? MacOS is now Unix-based so it's great for DIY programming, plus it runs on all the cool Apple hardware. In any case I applaud your rejection of Windows, its better now than it was for many years, but I'm still astonished by how crappy it is.
Avatar 11:24pm Whooda:

Thanks, yes, Linux, I guess. I thought Unix was a mainframe OP. It comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I'm crazy.
Avatar 11:31pm Pseu Braun:

I'm eating my laptop right now with a squirt of chipotle. NOW can we get back to conversation about music/WFMU programming?
  11:31pm P-90:

But you' right on, Unix was for years a big-mainframe only deal but part of the genius of making all the Mac shit run w/Unix as the underlying code is that it makes Unix avaiable on a personal-computer-size platform so you can DUI with it. Linux has advantages too, it runs on Windows machines, which can be had much cheaper than the premium-priced Apple.
I posted this morning asking how many feet of snow up there in the leather counties, you must have missed it
@I X K! : there's a MISTER Key?
Avatar 11:32pm Pseu Braun:

Whooda, I've got news for you -- if you're here, you're doing social media.
Avatar 11:33pm Whooda:

Almost of foot of music loving snow here. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm Chop Scott:

Pseu! I'm still listening. The music is fantastic as ever, again--I thank you.
  11:35pm P-90:

@ Good Evening Pseu,: great show, will return to on-topic posts-only presently. This board just seems so....uncluttered this week. Can't put my finger on what's missing, but it seems more relaxed.
Avatar 11:36pm Pseu Braun:

My pleasure, Chop Scott! P-90 we've got plenty of GREAT clutter here.
Avatar 11:37pm JakeGould:

Seriously, I use Ubuntu for server software. And Mac OS X is driving me a bit nuts nowadays. So I might do Ubuntu for the desktop as well at some point. But it’s still not the same.
Avatar 11:38pm Whooda:

Yes, Pseu, I have an email account(s). The only comments I leave are on FMU and the Guardian newspapers.

FMU is much more understanding as I have am on a permanent 'moderated' status at the Guardian. haha. Something I'm soon to earn here on your board no doubt. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39pm Chop Scott:

The pleasure is mine, you are essential to my Friday nesting--for many years!
Avatar 11:39pm nanantatee:

Please don't let this show end.. not ready...
Avatar 11:46pm Whooda:

@chop scott that's a cool steampunk nozzle cover sculpture. Did you make that?
  11:46pm P-90:

@JakeG: kewl but maybe ixnay on the echtay alktay for now ...?

@Whoo: Ms. Braun has a point, if the goal is to eschew social media altogether, you gotta do a lot more than hop off F-book. Wait: "moderated status"? Is that like a virtual house-arrest ankle bracelet?
Avatar 11:49pm Whooda:

@haha more like a virtual muzzle or leash than ankle bracelet.
Avatar 11:53pm JakeGould:

I have a lot of tin foil. Just saying.
  11:54pm P-90:

@Whoodat: Congratulations, you naughty boy
Avatar 11:54pm Whooda:

Avatar 11:55pm Pseu Braun:

I am a great fan of Cesar Milan. He's very uhhh BDSM
  11:55pm P-90:

@JakeG: :)
Avatar 11:57pm Whooda:

@Pseu Cesar Milan the dog whisperer? Does BDSM mean bondage, dominate, sado, masochistic? I hsd no idea!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57pm fleep:

Thanks, Pseu! What a mop toppy night.
  11:57pm Sue:

Thanks Pseu great show,

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01am Santos L Halper:

  12:02am P-90:

That anniversary has been celebrated right here all week better than anywhere else possibly could, I'm satisfied, I've had my 1964 party for this decade
