Listener comments!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04am fred:

Good morning Mike. This is a pleasant surprise
Avatar 6:05am Yair Yona:

Good morning Mike, hi Fred
Avatar 6:06am Mike VL:

Fred! So great to see you, especially after your comments last week. Didn't know I'd be on, but here I am. Thanks for saying hi. -- Hi Yair...long time.
Avatar 6:09am Yair Yona:

What a great show starter
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12am fred:

Hi Yair! Stan doesn't keep a playlist, but I heard him play the entire Spheres and Constellations on Friday
Avatar 6:15am Yair Yona:

Wow! that's amazing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16am Ken From Hyde Park:

I like Stan's shows a lot, but I'm usually asleep at that time of day.
Avatar 6:23am Yair Yona:

Stan has an amazing show, I usually listen to it on the way to the market. choosing tomatos while listening to his brain digging music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am fred:

I only saw Daniel Higgs once, but it was well worth it. He's one of a kind
  6:38am lucas:

hello everyone!!
Avatar 6:43am Mike VL:

Hi Lucas and Ken. Thanks for stopping by
Avatar 6:44am Yair Yona:

Daniel is amazing. I played with him in Jerusalem, one of the nicest people I've met. He was sitting throughout my entire show with his eyes shut, nodding his head in concentration. It was worth it just playing for him especially.
Avatar 6:48am Mike VL:

Yair--that's amazing. Didn't know that. He was supposed to play my show a few years back, but injured his hand. I was very sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am fred:

When I saw him, Daniel Higgs had met two Indian or Pakistani musicians in the UK and decided to bring them along for the rest of his tour. It didn't always work out, but when it did it was really great. And genuine, you could tell he was happy to have met these guys
Avatar 6:51am Lucas:

Yo Fred!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am fred:

Hi Lucas!
Avatar 6:53am Lucas:

This last time I have a weak for voices with delay :)
Avatar 6:55am Lucas:

@fred: rEady for sonic protest (even if is in april)?. I hope there will be a kind of miracle and I can be there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58am fred:

@Lucas: I got the early flier last week, just the names, no details yet. Good stuff for sure, but there are a bit too many that I've seen before. I'll get a pass anyway and see almost everything (I'll miss one or two shows because I already have tickets for dance shows)
Avatar 7:01am Lucas:

@fred: yes that festival is always quality!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am fred:

The details are up now: www.sonicprotest.com
Avatar 7:18am Elisa In Italy:

Great Italian recipe...who is going to make it?
Avatar 7:20am Mike VL:

If you translate, I will make, Elisa.
Avatar 7:39am Elisa In Italy:

  7:51am JohnEBGood:

Solar Motel. Hey, this is groovy ; )
Avatar 7:52am zeer:

great track, reminds me of www.youtube.com... (in a much better way)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53am fred:

I wish Chris Forsyth would play in Paris
Avatar 7:55am Lucas:

That record is really nice
Avatar 7:56am Mike VL:

Yes, that track is a monster.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58am fred:

@Lucas: I'd trade about half of the Sonic Protest lineup for Chris Forsyth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00am fred:

Noveller comes conveniently pre-clicky-starred. This sounds like a great record, I'd love to see her live again
Avatar 8:02am Lucas:

@fred: easy easy! jajaja :D
Avatar 8:15am Lucas:

funky samurai
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16am fred:

Now that's what I call a killer set
Avatar 8:18am Mike VL:

Thanks Fred...I'm just getting going and it's almost time to go...
Avatar 8:20am Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Mike. Lurking, and loving this morning's surprise DJ and picks. Hearing so much new-to-me. Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am fred:

A few years ago, at the end of a Acid Mothers Temple set, Kawabata Makoto smashed his guitar on the floor and threw the pieces in the crowd. He got another one, and a few minutes later, he did the same. Then a third. I was on the side of the stage and could see he had yet another spare ready for smashing. That was a lot of fun
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am Stanley:

Me too!
Is this still the Mani Neumeier & Kawabata Makato piece,
Its really good.
Avatar 8:22am Mike VL:

Sem-Great to hear, thanks. Love to hear from the lurkers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- @ Terrastock AMT headlined three days, if I recall - & I pretty much had to duck flying guitar fragments !...
Avatar 8:25am Lucas:

New stars for my favs list :)! Great track this Mushi :)! Great episode so far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am fred:

@Mike VL: that just means you have to do more fill-ins. I can't be selfish enough to wish you have another full-time slot, since it would mean bad news in your career. But I'm tempted
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- 'twer T *5* ... :
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am fred:

@RRN63: the first was a tired cliché, the second made it fun, then it was just hilariously genius. Wow, cool lineup there
Avatar 8:30am Mike VL:

Thanks Fred, If this go well work-wise, I'll have the luxury and time to do a full-time slot slot again. Thanks for the kind words, though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- yeah - not getting out & about much - I'll be mentioning seeing T5 the rest of my life - so get used to it ! : p ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36am fred:

Mike, I sure hope it all works out then
  8:40am Hello Clitty!:

my clit is lonely
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42am Make My Day Punk:

My Clint is homely.
  8:42am Erik in Berlin:

Hi, first-time listener here. Loving the show! It's quite rare that I listen live but it is nice to be rewarded with the discovery of a great new human music selector such as yourself.
Avatar 8:43am Lucas:

Here anyone is lonely
Avatar 8:44am Mike VL:

Erik--that is so nice of you to say. Glad you enjoyed what you heard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- neither would I mind one bit if you had a Scheduled Program ! ; I see the Give the Drummer stream filling up w/ a full Schedule of it's own as inevitable - but seldom am I consulted on such matters in this universe...
Avatar 8:56am Mike VL:

Thanks Rev. Rabbit. !
Avatar 8:58am Lucas:

see ya Mike, thanks for the show !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59am fred:

Thanks for the show, Mike. I hope you'll delight us with another one soon
Avatar 8:59am zeer:

yes pls, thanks!
Avatar 9:05am Mike VL:

Yes, I will try. Thanks again everyone, you made it a good one for me.
