Listener comments!

  1:05pm Fudd:

Welcome Wex!
  1:06pm kupi:

yes,,, now grandmas a total stranger since she got her face caught in the record changer
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Gaylord Fields:

That song was a perfect illustration of the theory I've advanced to Rex that songs with the word "Beatle" in the title have a better than average tendency to be great (and often in a distintively un-Beatle-like way).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Afternoon, Fools!
Gaylord, does this apply to "Beetle" as well?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm fred:

@Gaylord: an interesting theory, new to me so I'll keep an eye out for it. The next track and Rex generally made me wonder whether that kind of reverb-heavy trailers could have influenced Suicide (the band, not the act)
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Gaylord Fields:

@Greg from Bloomfield: Most definitely so.
Avatar 1:15pm Richie:

Thanks again for last week's broadcast...it was fantastic!
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:19pm ChrisB.:

Love the Liz Renay backstory. Will look for her Adam-12 appearance.
Avatar 🌮 1:21pm Tony in Durham NC:

In honor of Liz's first 2,000 men I'm still working on my first 2,000 Fool's Paradise shows. Shall we hear some of ye olde bumpe and grinde?
Avatar 🌮 1:26pm Tony in Durham NC:

I have a promo square white record from ZWOL. Those were the days.
  1:28pm Muffy St. Jacques:

Saturday morning reverb (my head that is)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Greg from Bloomfield:

WOW.
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:31pm jmd:

Oooh. I think you may go to Hell for this one. See ya there!
Avatar 🌮 1:33pm Parq:

I just mentioned to Mrs Parq that Rex has enough grotequely stereotypical "Chinese" novelty records to do a marathon premium. She enthusiastically endorsed the idea.
  1:33pm Brez:

"Chinese Rock And Roll" -- truly one of the weirdest we've heard here on Fool's Paradise!
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:35pm jmd:

Agreed w/ Mrs Parq. Please!
  1:35pm Brez:

Hey, Parq, we've been through this before. Rex refers those of us into grotesquely stereotypical "Chinese" novelty records to Norton's collections of same.
  1:35pm Sing Sing:

Records should ALL be tasteless...if they tasted good thayd all be eaten by now !
  1:36pm Brez:

Har.

Mmm, where can I get go-go boots like Liz Renay's?!?!
  1:37pm Brez:

Rex, I think you need to address the GROUNDSWELL of DEMAND for you to do a Chop Suey Rock premium...
  1:43pm Muffy St. Jacques:

just play fifteen minuets of The 5.6.7.8's and your thirst for fried sushi rock will be thrilled
  1:46pm Sing Sing:

Mattie sound like Snaggy's chick
Avatar 🌮 1:50pm Parq:

I knew a Liz Ronay once. She was a cute blonde, too.
Avatar 🌮 1:51pm Parq:

Just read Miss Renay's Wikipedia page -- jeez, what a checkered story!
Avatar 1:53pm Richie:

"Dusty Uterus" ...NOT a good stripper name.
  1:57pm Sing Sing:

Ernestine Schmidlap...ALSO not a good stripper name
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm Greg from Bloomfield:

I'm still pulling for a Mambo/Cha-Cha comp!
Avatar 2:14pm Mailman Tom:

Rex, when will you be posting your list of favorite movies and TV shows?
  2:14pm Muffy St. Jacques:

Roxcella and her Super Sport Coupe
  2:15pm hazmania:

Highly recommend Liz Renay's autobiography My Face For The World To See
  2:25pm mike east:

The porter at my work walks around all day shouting "bird dog!" And "come in, bird dog!" And other variants. Also calls other people bird dog sometimes
Avatar 🌮 2:34pm Tony in Durham NC:

Did I say how great last week's show was? I did? Oh.
Avatar 2:36pm Reeshard:

A shame that Liz Renay never got around to the sequel. Her title: 'My Ass For The World To Kiss.'
  2:50pm Muffy St. Jacques:

i found my picture in the dollar bin at the dollar store next to the nickel beers
Avatar 2:53pm 8track:

Thanks for the wild ride Rex.

The Phantom Surfers do pretty good, for that matter.
