Sandra Bernhard vs The Shirelles  I Just Want To Put On Some Shirelles: I Wanna Be Black   Options   WFMU  2014    this is a little remix I threw together after re-watching "The King of Comedy" earlier this week. Hadn't seen it in years and had forgotten how truly great a movie it was. Also had forgotten about this scene with Sandra Bernhard who delivers such sample worthy lines like "Ijustwantto, like, dance. I just want to like, you know, put on some Shirelles. I just, I want to be black" . Next week I will remix Martin Scorsese latest film (that is overrated, highly derivative of his own work, but still not bad) "The Wolf Of Wall Street"  *

  7:23pm ADA:

I never seen The King of Comedy but now it's on my radar, looks awesome! I was born in 84, so always feeling the connection to years ending in 4... 1994 was some great music coming out, the formula was just right with the beats and rhymes nicely wrapped together, love that east coast era the most!
  7:24pm Tall Paul:

When you consider how ground breaking X first album At the Speed of Light was, what happened to the man after this?
Avatar 7:25pm spidermank:

luv that mission impossible . ace tunes Billy .
7:25pm ALF of Hip Hop Slam:

What's up Tall Paul?! I'm rooting for the Broncos. The Seahawks used to be my Oakland Raiders rival. I've never like the Seahawks. I picked the lesser of two evils. I would like to see Manning get a ring.
Avatar 7:27pm TheRapperWithNoName:

Much truth right there, Tall Paul. I dug his track "Shrooms" but man when you listen to Speed of Light it is jaw dropping.
  7:27pm Tall Paul:

Yo Alf, great to hear from you. You mean Peyton to get another ring. It should be a good game looking forward to it. Missed your new tune will catch it on the rewind.
All good here in work at the mo.
