No complaints here. Would have been nice for some x-country skiing though.

By my eye out the window, looks like about 8" in the Bronx.

Robert:
I've got to get off this page before you start with the animated GIFs, or Frankenputer here will shut off. Working on a more permanent solution, though.
i have no thoughts at 6 am. and as someone who grew up in western ny i agree with fred von helsing and laff a the tristates panic mode when ever it snows
@dale and FVH: 0.25" of snow in Paris = all buses stop. 0.5" = no trains are running. 1" = most of the subway is closed, cars are stranded, everybody walks. Not sure you can stop laughing before the end of Ken's show

Butt Bongos seem much more difficult to play than the Katzenklavier piano cat.
@Polk B. Time traveling friends of mine have said the same thing about entire meals NOT being available in pill form in the future, only single courses.
oh the L (hell)train! really it shut down? far out. My crew seems to be digging us out now....at 9 a.m. what fun. looks mainly like drifts and powder out there, not that bad.
Alls I remember is the ice storm or whatever in 1977 or so, and we had no power for days, and that suckeedddd Otherwise we got around by car and foot but no power for a week was shitey

That's great !! Giffing has finally reached the uptight art world!

I once traveled to the future but I don't have memory of it. My memories just record past events.
@Dave B.: Thanks for that link. I remember the 1969 blizzard, I was kid, but school was cancelled so it was a historical holiday in MY memory. The blizzard came after the garbage collectors in the city had been on strike for weeks, there where huge piles of plastic garbage bags on the sidewalks, which were then covered with snow, forming these huge white "walls" of snow lining the sidewalks at the curb. It wasn't like THE disaster of the year (remember Star Trek was cancelled in '69), just another NY adventure.
So, 6-9 has a web only show. And on the air is the Jewish programming right? Do they just broadcast in different rooms at the WFMU studios or how does it work?

By the way, is it Passionate or Compassionate?
Or more importantly, does it matter?

Play topographic oceans and go to the bathroom. It always makes me go
Yes Neil is the king of the one note solos for sure.

Ace Frehly did some on stage back in the day, before he learned to play another coupla notes

Attention: To the people that diss the great Tales from a Topographic Ocean album. I have bad news for you:
The spirit of Rick Wakeman will hunt your dreams and it's not going to be nice as he'll be wearing his special cape and he'll make you play his keyboard so fast that it will make your fingers bleed while you're sleep.
Neil's motto is 'I'm going to play that note until I get it right"
10:11am
Sam:
Maybe you're right Jeezy. I can't figure it out myself. Whether the simplicity makes it better or worse.
10:12am
Neil:
Actually, it's "I'm gonna play that not until YOU get it".

But Mark S,
That was Rick said to the Wikipedia journo. Of course he was going to lie them! Real fans like me know how he really feels about the album. Your blasphemous thoughts are only going to bring you trouble tonight while sleeping.
At occupational therapy this morning that awful Peter, Bjorn and John song was playing and all the "therapists" were whistling it. Thanks for exorcizing that demon with better whistling.
It looks pretty bloody cold out there. Sun is kind of out here though....I haven't ventured out yet. will later. But is he into Green Mountain coffee???
i've taken the cordless into the powder room if i'm expecting my old lady to call. can't imagine how much fecal matter is on a phone. or the computer keyboard for that matter. or KEN'S MIKE.
tuning in on a snow day! but we don't get snow days, just a growing sense of anxiety that you're the last one in the office. but it's just easier to say snow day.
From one Ken to another, a helpful hint: The gas gauge on your car's dashboard should have a little arrow that points to which side has the gas cap. lifehacker.com...
Sorry I didn't call into 7SD last week. I had some family commitments at the time.

oh, man. Been listening to Ken's show for almost 6 years and became a huge S7D fan last week when I listened to the sell heat stunt.
hey Ken, this is probably a dumb question but have you tried emailing Matt F and asking? im assuming you've been in contact with him on account of the Andy Breckman song. i wrote him an email about one of his movies the other day and he seemed really excited and willing to provide lots and lots of info to anyone who gets in touch with him
Actually, there are no pre-2014 archived shows that you can access in the WFMU app! Aarrgg. How come?! Does someone knows why is that? Is it because a technicality? How can I help to help fix it?! Please someone tell me. I'm not desperate though. PLEASSE!
Seriuosly, If I was to "out" you-know-who, would it have to be on your station? To qualify for the shirt. And do I get to pick, or does it have to be that dog and cow thing?
