Nice introduction to a beautiful day DJ Bill Mac
Avatar 3:13am Brian in UK:

Mornin' Bill. No slick spots today I trust.
Avatar 3:13am Jay/London:

good morning Bill got get my place ready for the builders packing lots of stuff away and getting rid of other stuff not looking forward to it
Avatar 3:13am Andy in Berlin:

Hey the sun's actually out! Good morning people!
  3:14am P-90:

Good morning Mr. Mac. I liked that caravan you rode in on
Avatar 3:15am Brian in UK:

'Reality leaves a lot to the imagination' John Lennon.
Avatar 3:16am Bill Mac:

Morning Gentlemen all! What the what?! No slickees today - perfect weather for driving, but of course, the worst is yet to come. Only a few more weeks of the cold. fingers x'ed
Avatar 3:17am Jay/London:

@ Andy in Berlin been rain for most of the night here
Avatar 3:19am Brian in UK:

Are you moving or renovating, Jay?
Avatar 3:22am Brian in UK:

Imagine if The Lone Ranger's horse was called Wilma. Hi Ho .......
Avatar 3:23am Bill Mac:

almost as bad as the Lone Ranger saying 'yabba dabba doo'.
Avatar 3:25am Jay/London:

@ Brian the builders are going to rip out the kitchen bathroom new C. heating new windows and doors replace the lot going to take about 15 days guess i will be living on takeouts all staring on the 27th
  3:26am P-90:

Had a cat once named Wilma ( or rather once, this cat had me, to paraphrase J. Lennon). Grew up with warm associations with that name, Fred Flintstone's wife and Buck Rogers' girlfriend were both named Wilma...
Avatar 3:26am live bait:

DJ Bill Mac that Bentley avatar of yours is as rare (and eclectic) as a sane FMU DJ. I recently watched a video with sound of the car running an uphill times trial. It did sound just like an old bi-plane.
Avatar 3:28am live bait:

@Brian in UK sorry, I meant YOUR avatar. Swell pic
Avatar 3:29am Bill Mac:

@LB - Whew, I thought something had changed without my knowledge!
  3:29am P-90:

Oh, that avatar, was looking for the Bentley in the wrong place
Avatar 3:30am clenched buttcheeks:

@Jay/London 15 days?!?! Hahahahahaahahahaha. Oh, that was a good one. 15 days ahahahaha.
Avatar 3:31am rodeo active saucer:

Here's more on the car
Avatar 3:32am Jay/London:

@ clenched Buttcheeks it not at all funny to me !
  3:33am P-90:

Yep, 15 days sounds a bit...optimistic for all that work. Unless they work much, much faster over there?
  3:36am P-90:

Now I'm curious, so indulge me...? Approximately how many windows and doors?
Avatar 3:37am Brian in UK:

@WD-40 I took that picture of the Napier-Bentley 26 litre at the centenary of Shelsley Walsh hillclimb. The oldest racing venue in the known world. A nice man called Thompson from Wolverhampton races it, not great on corners but off the line it is something.
Avatar 3:38am Jay/London:

yeah they have done other flats in my block and yes took them 15 days there are 120 flats to do should all be done my about march they say .... maybe two doors and nine windows P-90
Avatar 3:39am doughnut hammer:

@Jay / London. I really hope the remodeling goes well and stays within budget and schedule *suppressed laughter* Really, I do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41am Stanley:

Hey, hey.
Good morning all.
  3:41am P-90:

I see, your flat is part of a much larger renovation project, not a one-off by a smaller contractor. That makes a difference.
Avatar 3:42am shortl bus:

@Brian You lucky guy! I saw that car at that race making a turn and powersliding up the hill. What noise!
Avatar 3:44am Jay/London:

@P-90 yeah there are are 50 people working on the building the council are doing it so its not costing me a thing they are also doing the outside of the building as well
Avatar 3:45am butcher block:

@Jay Yes, if this is a remodel done in repetition they know exactly how long and how much. That is good news.
Avatar 3:45am Brian in UK:

Here is a clip of driver and car fired up. Driver looks appropriate to the car.
  3:45am P-90:

@Whooda: We don't have to tease old Jay that much do we? OK maybe
Avatar 3:46am Bill Mac:

Hey hey Stanley!
  3:47am P-90:

@ Whooda: See. You came around, that's why I requested more info, to clarify
Avatar 3:47am Brian in UK:

Better git dawg walking'

Great start to the show, Bill. Do I need to say that. Ofcourse I do.
Avatar 3:47am glad squirrel:

@P-90 it's an American tradition to laugh about projects coming in under budget and on time. Corruption in construction is only excelled by auto repair and poloticians.
Avatar 3:49am Bill Mac:

@Brian - and you did. kudos!
  3:49am P-90:

@ Whooda: Oh don't I know it, I'm as American as youda
Avatar 3:51am Bill Mac:

True that! I'm remembering both failed and corrupted and overdue projects - have they ever finished the Big Dig in Boston?
  3:54am P-90:

@Bill: maybe when the finish the 2nd Avenue subway line *unsuppressed laughter*
  3:55am P-90:

[THEY finish]
Avatar 3:55am Bill Mac:

Sarcasm is currency in these parts...
Avatar 4:01am Jay/London:

seems like they don't finish what they start over there ...
Avatar 4:03am hard high hat:

In a desperate attempt to make the Big Dig appear finished they patched it over, only to have concrete panels fall from the bridge ceiling, requiring a complete redo...reason: corruption.
  4:03am Col Blimp:

Ba ba ba, ba bap d'bop!
Avatar 4:04am Bill Mac:

I remember hearing about the panels - didn't one kill a driver?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05am ! I X Key !:

Avatar 4:06am pancake wagon:

I think some one was injured (driver) and killed the passenger according to wiki.
  4:06am chrissy in london:

Hi All. Happy New Year :0>
Great tunes as always Bill loved the Lonnie Holley and also Claudia Quintet- really got me dancing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06am Stanley:

@Bill talking bullshit construction projects - try the Edinburgh Trams project. Proposal was 3 lines, £498mm 3 years to build. Reality 1 line, £745m 6 years to build. The imcompetence of our leaders is outstanding.
Avatar 4:07am gonna' finish that?:

All governments are mafia; organized crime.
Avatar 4:13am Bill Mac:

Thanks Chrissy! I X Key somewhere in the room!
  4:14am P-90:

@ Stanley: The one and only Rick Wakeman has been very vocal about the waste and dissapointing results of some of these projects, Hasn't he?...also placing blame squarely on the politicians
Avatar 4:14am Bill Mac:

@Stanley - I guess that's some consolation. At least there we're all getting treated like crap.
  4:17am P-90:

"Edinburgh Trams" - good band name
@ I X K: welcome aboard
Avatar 4:18am Jay/London:

has anyone heard of a band called Death ?
  4:20am P-90:

Wait, is that a trick question?
Avatar 4:20am Bill Mac:

Yeah - group of black dudes from the 70s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20am Stanley:

Oooo........this is good.
Avatar 4:22am Jay/London:

cyber attack .. now we are rocking ..... yes bill a punk band before punk
  4:22am P-90:

@Bill M.: like a funk outfit?
Avatar 4:23am Bill Mac:

I was kicking around names for my old man band whenever I should seriously take up an instrument - I came up with Last Gasp on the fly but apparently there's someone in Seattle called that.
  4:24am P-90:

A BLACK proto-punk band?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25am ! I X Key !:

I am somewhere in a room
different from the one you are in now
Avatar 4:29am Jay/London:

www.youtube.com... here's what death sounds like P-90
Avatar 4:30am Bill Mac:

Or you can just listen to the Death song I just played;)
  4:31am P-90:

Trying to keep up here. At first I thought the name you had in mind was "Last Gasp on the Fly" but you meant just "Last Gasp".
Actually now I'm kinda liking "Last Gasp on the Fly" as a band name..
Avatar 4:32am Bill Mac:

Me too - another example of better living through accidents!
Avatar 4:33am Jay/London:

sorry bill seems like we were doing the same at same time :) well great minds ect
  4:33am P-90:

Thanx Bill and Jay for introducing me to.........Death
Avatar 4:35am Bill Mac:

@Jay You said it Jay!
  4:36am P-90:

Remember the Twilight Zone episode in which Young Robert Redford played Death?
Avatar 4:36am Jay/London:

there is a doc you can watch on you tube of death P-90
  4:38am P-90:

Thanks again, Jay, now I'm really curious to see what they looked like
Avatar 4:40am Jay/London:

here you go P-90 the doc film www.youtube.com...
Avatar 4:41am smoke & mirror signal:

@P-90 I remember the twilight zone with Redford and kind death. That's a classic for sure.
  4:43am P-90:

They could reunite as "Death Warmed Over" and "lLast Gasp on the Fly" featuring Bill Mac could open for them
Avatar 4:43am Jay/London:

thanks bill love the velvet underground
Avatar 4:44am Jay/London:

@ P-90 ha ha !!!
Avatar 4:46am Bill Mac:

@P-90 Funnier still given the fact a couple members of the band are NO LONGER HERE!!!!
  4:47am P-90:

@you-know-Whooda: Remember how simultaneously creepy and uplifting Robert Death was, the way he came and claimed that old lady?
Avatar 4:48am Brian in UK:

Hey Bill, that Velvet's track was never on my mono copy.
Avatar 4:48am Looms:

Good morning.
Been here from the start but had to fix a couple of problems. Let's enjoy the music now.
Avatar 4:49am Brian in UK:

  4:50am P-90:

So, we'll cut Redford in for a percentage if he brings them back for the tour
*sinister laughter*
  4:52am chrissy in london:

loved that velvets track not heard that before
great soundtrack to just chilling and shelling pistachio nuts with my son on the sofa, and the skeptics before that. Happy days
Avatar 4:53am not dead only smell bad:

@P-90 I have only rabbit ears antenna and receive only two stations on my TV one station plays old shows including TZ so i see it regularly. I particularly like the demolition guy who wants to kick the old lady out so he can tear down her building.
  4:56am P-90:

@ W: you're lucky one of your two stations has TZ.
But you can see all kinds of stuff on the interwebs
Avatar 4:57am honest engine:

@P-90 85% of my entertainment budget goes toward FMU. The TV just acts as a flickering room lamp.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00am Stanley:

Thought this was Fela Kuti, then checked. A funky afrobeat number. Nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03am Stanley:

Mmmm..dude sounds Caribbean.
Avatar 5:03am Bill Mac:

This isn't as slick as a lot of afrobeat - i deeg eet!
