Well, that was wonderfully lush.
Now this is labial fricative if I ever heard it.
Good morning.

Always room for more dogs.

Guido (Cologne):

Hi Liz!

I have a serious respect for Carlton Melton!
They're just jamming and almost no editing.
My last experience in a jamming band was editing like mad in order to get something enjoyabele out of it. "Always Even": recommendable album.

Good morning everyone and welcome to this sleepy grey Monday!

good monday to everyone! hope it's good.

Well, these are nice sounds indeed.

Liz Berg:

Can't wait for the winter olympics to start... there's nothing like watching grown men sweeping a broom over the ice yelling at a little puck, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am
Guido (Cologne):

Ice hockey over here had an signifcant increase in popularity during recent 20 years, since the major Cologne soccer team became notoriously unsuccessful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am
common:

love me some curling, liz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am
braveness23:

Is it true that Pussy Riot is playing at the opening ceremony of the Olympics?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53am
Liz Berg:

I wish Pussy Riot was playing at the opening ceremony! Perhaps they'll pull another one of their crazy demonstrations...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am
Sem Chumbo:

Liz: for me, the winter Olympics are all about spandex-clad lugers risking life and limb lying on their backs hurtling downhill thru banked S bend after S bend at 90 +mph. It is a try-out for the Darwin Awards, the really big show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55am
Liz Berg:

I also have a guilty pleasure in the figure skating dept: high drama and bad costumes!
Avatar 9:55am
northguineahills:

I actually dig curling as well. Would love to try my hand at it some time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57am
Sem Chumbo:

@NGH: how's you back? Granite curling stones weigh 40 pounds, and one has to lift them off the ice at some point:(
Avatar 9:58am
ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Morning Liz! I will shamefully admit I enjoy figure skating, especially the men. Johnny Weir is my hero. Is he competing this year?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am

guess i can never curl, sem. oh well.

mining the fma like whoa
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59am

I heard a rumor that Jonny Weir will be a commentator! EEP!

Considering my flightcase (for my vinyl recs) is 35 pounds, and my laundry bag I schlep once a month to the laundromat is 30-40 lbs, I think I'll be find. It's my knees that our my weakness.

Dug the Proligate track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am

@common: how about biathlon? Cross country skiing and gunplay. Gotta love that!
Avatar 10:06am

-20 ℉ / -29 ℃ on the isthmus today. Enough to make your face hurt.

northguineahills:

Then again, I suck at shuffleboard and related games, but I still like playing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10am
Liz Berg:

Oh yeah, Sem! Biathlon is nuts! I didn't believe it was real the first time I saw it.
Avatar 10:10am
ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

@ Liz - uh oh, I wonder how Jonny will do off the ice? Could be really funny or really annoying. Another winter olympics guilty pleasure is men's speed skating. Apolo Ohno is hypnotic to watch gliding in circles.
Avatar 10:13am
northguineahills:

If my furlough from my job continues into February, I can watch the Olympics, but my bank account will be getting mightily slim.
Avatar 10:20am
northguineahills:

Gotta jet! Thanks Liz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am
Sem Chumbo:

Liz:biathlon came from a Norwegian army exercise in the 1860's. Seems an odd addition to the Olympics; I think I'd prefer a maple tree tapping/sauna sitting variant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am

@Sem: i don't like guns. but i love to watch skiing.
