Unpresentable, if Prescient.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm braveness23:

Throw down those rock rhythms, Fab-star Intergalacticus!
Avatar 3:18pm Cheri Pi:

This is building up quite nicely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm braveness23:

Now we're talkin'!
Avatar 3:18pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Shall I just clicky-star the whole damned thing ahead-o-time, then? Again? Jeezus.
Avatar 3:20pm Milson:

Anyone have any almond butter or avocado? These crackers need some help...
Avatar 3:20pm Cheri Pi:

My clicky-star needs ibuprofin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm Ike:

Indeed, Turnip, indeed.
Avatar 3:22pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Now that I'm employed & streaming Failure again, I have a new universe of un-eaten office supplies. This track is a stapler-punisher, for sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm braveness23:

My clicky-star needs bourbon
Avatar 3:23pm Chris from DC:

Did someone say bourbon?
Avatar 3:24pm Cheri Pi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Kat in Chicago:

New Katie Gately? I've only heard the one on Public Information.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm common:

mine needs some beersies!
Avatar 3:25pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Holy crap, brilliant tune. Now how do I dislodge an inkjet printer from yonder epiglottis?
Avatar 3:25pm Droll:

Blue Eight was a mega-headtrip. Brilliant creativity.
Avatar 3:26pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

hp laserjet p2055dn, specifically.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm braveness23:

Here's real toe-tapper!
Avatar 3:28pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Totally new to Katie Gately. That shaved my brain off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm DCE:

I wish I had time to say hello to you all.
Avatar 3:29pm Cheri Pi:

Go ahead RTD, the ink cartridges are recyclable wich is code for easily digestible.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm DCE:

how was the Goblin, CP?
Avatar 3:39pm Cheri Pi:

Oh my gawd the Goblin was amazing! Mr CP went to Chicago last month too and he said the Cincinnati set was totally different and with a few different players. Their bass player was named Fabio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Tome:

in 2 theaters in the "Film Form' apparently last show is at 9:20pm >> aol.it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm DCE:

I figure for $25 it better be great!
Avatar 3:44pm Cheri Pi:

They had some great merch too but it was pretty spendy.
Avatar 3:45pm Cheri Pi:

Do you want some epiglottil fryes with that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Carmichael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Kat in Chicago:

Seems like there's a general resurgence of interest in modular synths
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm braveness23:

I step away for a minute to read about Vangelis and I come back to talk about modular synths... go figure
  4:16pm Svag:

Those darn Swedes, they also make some really good detective shows.
  4:22pm Mott:

this sounds like Yoko Ono with bad cell phone reception...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm Carmichael:

I know the Korg is making a comeback.
  4:27pm Svag:

The Korg? Vassis dat?
  4:29pm Svag:

I wish they would make a remake of Tobor, a small black and white, serious but funny indiie one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29pm DCE:

we're having a synth-meet up next week after a lecture presented on Varese. I only have a Micro-Korg but I do have a loud monitor. we're gonna get insane.
Avatar 4:31pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

The microKorg is a sturdy little beast. Like the MS2000B, once you get past all the disco factory patches & start twiddlin' it can get fun...
Avatar 4:32pm Chris from DC:

Just got an Arturia MicroBrute. Should be fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32pm DCE:

indeed, it can. I like to occupy those spaces.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm DCE:

my friend just picked up the MicroBrute and I can't wait to mess around with it a bit.
Avatar 4:33pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

screw "next week" DCE, this is your synth meet-up rat here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm DCE:

ah Suzuki Junzo just played here on Sunday but I had to miss it!
Avatar 4:33pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Going modular myself next month. Talk about a rabbit-hole...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm DCE:

ha, I wish you all could come to the bowling alley locker room where the weird sounds will be coming from!
Avatar 4:35pm Droll:

A month or so ago I went to the Mostly Modular Trade Association synth show here in Seattle. I assure you this stuff is only getting more interesting with technology advances, but the only ones who know how to build 'em are gettin' older.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm Carmichael:

A past bandmate had a Korg Triton that seemed pretty cool to me, but the best one I saw had a roller wheel on the left hand side for serious note-bending.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm common:

DCE. Just looked up the microbrute. Looks great. i'm lookin for a new keyboard. and it's analog
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40pm DCE:

go for it, man!
  4:40pm Svag:

Screw Tobor, this is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm common:

gotta wait til i win the lottery.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm Carmichael:

How much does that micro-brute run? Depending on the number of zeros, it may end up at my house.
  4:51pm Svag:

Hey guys, get a room why don't you.
Avatar 4:52pm Chris from DC:

I found a microbrute comfortably under $300, Carm.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm Carmichael:

Whoa Jeez, piece of cake! Thanks, Chris!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm Kat in Chicago:

I hear good things about the Microbrute from my noisepals
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Andrew Waterloo:

It's always 4pm
  5:02pm Fredericks:

Nelson Mandela has died.
Avatar 5:04pm glenn:

i'm not surprised. i didn't think he'd make it through last spring.
  5:07pm Joalla:

I have a CD of Indonesian street music that is great (reminds me of this). I love it and have played it after losses (pet, human).
  5:10pm xezzy:

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he lived for few more years
Avatar 5:11pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

The so-called "punk percussion protests" in the 1980s outside the South African embassy here in DC were quite the happening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm Carmichael:

I suppose this could be classified as "brooding".
Avatar 5:20pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

THE SNOW BUILDINGS! Thought I recognized it...
  5:21pm Mott:

this is good stuff...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm estimo:

super sound, fabio!
Avatar 5:35pm slugluv1313:

yes, sad news, just heard about his passing awhile ago -- sure, not really surprised, as he WAS 95 years old -- but still, HUGE loss to Earth's community
  5:46pm Moi:

I'll be playing some music in honor of Nelson tonight, chez moi.
  5:46pm earrie:

I hope his death serves to inspire the fake-accomplishment generation with a good shake n' wake.
  5:52pm Marmalade Kitty:

RIP Nelson Mandela

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm Ike:

On another note, Clay Pigeon last week apparently aired chats with various FMU DJs. I missed it & will have to check out the archive. Best thing about Dusty Show via archive is I can skip the music! Heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Parq:

I saw him speak when he came to New York in 1990 and spoke on the City Hall steps. I was so far back in the crowd that I had to listen to the radio broadcast on my Walkman to hear him. But damn, even at that distance, his presence was electric. I have often compared it to what it must have been like to see Lincoln or Gandhi in person.
Avatar 5:55pm Night Al:

I'm surprised Clay never plays music from his old Florida band, Deloris Telescope. They were very popular in Florida and the Tampa Bay area back in the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Parq:

And damn, just thinking about all there will be to read on the subject in the next few weeks is daunting.
  5:57pm RUBY:

You fellas are fucking hilarious, mean it
Avatar 5:59pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

I think Clay considers the last hour Fabio is on to be "covering for him."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Ike:

@Night Al, not sure, but that might be against the station rules due to conflict of interest. I think. Maybe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00pm Carmichael:

It's the self aggrandization contract rider.
