I'm trying to remember what life was like in 1993. Oh now I remember that actually huge time in my life. Can't get into it now but through turmoil of those days things turned out kind of wonderful.
Avatar 3:56am Chris M.:

KP: that's excellent! i'm glad things turned out wonderful.
Avatar 3:57am KP:

Musically, Neil Young and Sonic Youth in NJ. I ran into Neil on street a few days before that show and talked to him a little.
Avatar 3:58am Chris M.:

in 1993 i was road manager for the alternative band The White Castles. their only album, Belly Bomber was released on DGC to much critical acclaim but it only sold about 600 copies. i still chalk it up to the decision to put a drawing of a yellow castle on the cover. it just doesn't have the same impact.
Avatar 4:00am Congolia:

1993? I spent most of it hiding in Kurt Cobain's closet, whispering, "Do it" while he slept.

Those little tiny dancers caused quite a kerfuffle that night.
  4:05am KP:

That Neil show was first date with my now wife. A huge labor struggle was the turmoil but it brought us together.
  4:09am KP:

Also johnny cash at Carnegie hall when that first album with Rick Rubin came out. Second row center . Unbelievably intense.
