Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12am Liz Berg:

Avatar 9:19am Simon Mathewson:

Ah nice, thanks Liz. Thought I'd take the trouble to tune in live today so that was a pleasant surprise!
Avatar 9:24am duke:

@SM These are pretty cool sounds. I'm going to check it out on the FMA.
  9:26am Russ:

Loved your track, Simon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am Liz Berg:

Simon's got a ton of great stuff on the FMA:

He also performs as Robodub and Seamo-Simon.
  9:30am Russ:

I know, I had to take a look. Wanted to find out more :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am Liz Berg:

Hope you all spent the final summer weekend of 2013 doing something fun. My grill was fired up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34am tim from champaign:

Hi everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43am Liz Berg:

Took a big risk this weekend and brought in a chair my bf found on the street (couldn't resist, it looks like a fancy Danish mid century number)... no traces of vermin yet! I did have a paranoid moment and sprayed it down with bleach, then hosed it off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48am fred:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48am tim from champaign:

Good find, Liz. My friend found a mid century Danish pepper grinder this weekend. It's the most stylish pepper grinder I've ever seen. Good weekend for Danish design I guess.
Avatar 9:49am duke:

Definitely BCBG!
Avatar 9:51am duke:

Another great find on the FMA.
Avatar 9:51am Chris from DC:

Headache subsiding, now I can concentrate on the show. Lots of good stuff here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51am Liz Berg:

Yay for the Danes and their good sense of design! I'll be spending some quality time with a sander soon...
Avatar 9:55am doca:

liz doing one hell of a party today
Avatar 10:03am Lucas:

Hello Liz and listners! Yo Fred, how are you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08am tim from champaign:

Is this the Aussie C*ntz? I can't believe I missed them. Thanks goodness for the archives!
  10:15am r i s k y:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16am Jeezy:

Poor Cuntz! Their big chance for radio exposure comes, and Liz DENIES them! :-P
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am fred:

@Lucas: I'm at work on a Monday, so I could be better... Did you start school yet?
Avatar 10:21am dc pat:

remember that Buttholes tune "Cuntz"? wonder if that's ever been played on FMU...
Avatar 10:22am Lucas:

@fred: next week. There is a big non stop wind here since three days. Is cold and it will be worst :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am fred:

@Lucas: did you find cool venues? I saw Ignatz yesterday, he played in a place called Fluc in Vienna
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29am tim from champaign:

@dc pat - one time Brian Turner played the orginial thai song the BH used as the basis for Cuntz.
Avatar 10:33am Cheri Pi:

I second that emotion
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am YETI BOB:

This sounds weirdly like Lana Del Ray (duck)
Avatar 10:36am Lucas:

dont know Ignatz :s... saturday there is a Fuckbuttons gig, I dont know if i'll go
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am fred:

Fuck Button played here last week, but I didn't go: I like them but I didn't feel like paying €20
Avatar 10:43am Lucas:

@fred: yeah I see, I think here it costs 15€. I heard about the Fluc, people told me is nice :). I havent been so much out
Avatar 10:46am Lucas:

in october there is TG gondard! waw! Nice :)
Avatar 10:47am Davee:

Hi Liz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am fred:

@Lucas: and it's only 7€...
Avatar 10:54am Lucas:

@Liz: Monday: the beginning of a new adventure!!! yes... adventure... yeah...!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am tim from champaign:

Does the West Lake Shopping Center jingle sound like Biz Markie's "Albee Square Mall"? If so, that sounds like a good jam.
Avatar 10:59am Lucas:

@Liz: just in case, you can buy hornets on the internet that will take care of invaders
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am Liz Berg:

Ha ha, thanks Lucas!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am herb.nyc:

thanks for the SUMMER TWINS song (v.g. fun interview of BURGER REC by nardwuar, last wk!). as for BEDBUGS, i hope it all works out. and this is from the memoir book "another bullshit night in suck city", the writer Nick Flynn works at homeless shelter & they put residents' clothes into this 'oven' that kills bedbugs. in another scene, a homeless man is __feet away & writer says "you could see the bedbugs crawling on him" (shudder!! book was made into movie with RDeniro and Paul Dano, i think)
  11:07am zazani:

yes, and Julianne Moore plays his mother. He wrote ( i suspect- cos i haven's seen the film) a more interesting book about the film called "The Reenactments". Great show . Thanks Liz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Brian in UK:

I second Summer Twins. I loves a good POP song.
Avatar 11:10am dc pat:

@tim: hey yeah, I heard that too! Funny...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Carmichael:

Hi ya Liz, and good Monday morning wishes to all.
  11:12am KP:

Hey, Liz!
Avatar 11:12am dc pat:

This is going on at the Black Cat in dc right around Halloween. Wonder if I can go to all of them...:

Oct 30: the Dickies
Oct 30: Crystal Stilts
Nov 1: King Khan & the Shrines
Nov 2: Black Lips
Nov 3: SebaDOH
Nov 4: Melt Banana
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14am Liz Berg:

Whoa DC Pat! That's a killer week of shows! You should hit them all!
Avatar 11:15am dc pat:

the Dickies and King Khan are set in stone. Would love to see Black Lips and Melt Banana again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15am Carmichael:

@Pat: King Khan puts on a great show. Haven't seen the Dickies in about 75 years.
Avatar 11:15am Simon Mathewson:

Really enjoyed the Mueran Humanos track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am tim from champaign:

Holy smokes DC Pat. You can do all 7 nights. That's what meth was made for.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Liz Berg:

Oh yeah, that Mueran Humanos track is my summer jam! So great!
Avatar 11:16am dc pat:

never got to see the Dickies in the old days but You Drive Me Ape You Big Gorilla was a foundation upon which I've built my life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Jeezy:

Jeez. I wish my "demo cassettes" were this good.
Avatar 11:17am dc pat:

best "demo cassette" ever.
Avatar 11:22am Chris from DC:

Yeah, Pat, hoping to finally see Melt Banana. Saw the Dickies at the old 9:30. I had no idea they were still out there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am tim from champaign:

Man, ol' Thursty better step up the quality of his music because he's getting left in the dust by his former band mates.
Avatar 11:27am dc pat:

Melt Banana is amazing. Fantastic. The guy who wears the surgical mask is scary.
  11:29am KP:

Liz, there should be pronunciation guide for likes of Mueran Humanos, so I don't get laughed at in record store, more than usual,
Avatar 11:29am Chris from DC:

TfC, Thurston gave a couple of pretty solid performaces at Hopscotch. The set with Merzbow was great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30am Liz Berg:

How's this, KP:
Mwear-ahn Ooh-mah-nohs
  11:31am MADianito:

KP: "Moo-era-n R-manos"
  11:36am Marmalade kitty:

Hello Liz & Lizards!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am tim from champaign:

Good to know, Chris. I was underwhelmed with Chelsea Light Moving. I should stick to his non-rock stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am northguineahills:

obviously not talking about any of my arms....
  11:41am KP:

Avatar 11:42am Simon Mathewson:

Hi Liz. What's the background music playing while you speak? I feel like I know it but can't place it!
  11:47am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Vomit Face?!? Wow. Reminds me of what my dad told me that when he was a kid he used the code D.V.O.T. (Dog Vomit on Toast) for when he didn't like my grandmothers cooking.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Lewis:

this sounds like wooden shjips (or howver they spell it) - any relation?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Liz Berg:

No personnel crossover between White Manna and Wooden Shjips, but they are both from Northern California.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am Lewis:

Thanks Liz!
  11:58am Steve-O:

Hey Liz. Just caught the end of your show.....will be listening to you later. Have a great week. =)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am northguineahills:

Awesome set, Liz!
Avatar 11:59am dc pat:

oops, Kurt Gottschalk just recommended that I tune into WKCR for the Coltrane marathon...I have to do what I'm told: www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00pm efd:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Brian in UK:
