Suicidal Summer Commences Some Occurrence Coincidences Sooner. I think...

Hi Scott and all you Scotians!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Scott Williams:

Avatar 3:11pm Kurt Gottschalk:

you're the one who's crazy.
Avatar 3:12pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

What's all this then? I turn my back for a minute & y'all go crawling around my angst-ridden teenage years.
Avatar 3:13pm amEdeo:

BLurhhh what day is it???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm Scott Williams:

RTD, bub- you know there's a new one for now kids? Perfect Hair Forever / Puker!
Avatar 3:15pm northguineahills:

trying to get my mind back into cranium. makes for odd disassociative observations.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm DCE:

hello, I'm joining this group now.
Avatar 3:19pm pat from the district of columbia:

hmm. Can't decide whether I like this Ex tune or not...
Avatar 3:19pm amEdeo:

  3:19pm Glenn m:

hey pals
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Matt from Springfield:

@Kurt: How can you say I'M crazy? When I listened to YOUR shows, I supported YOUR radio station, I hung out on YOUR playlists?!

Oh, yeah. Guess I am crazy then--thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm efd:

I've done it.
Avatar 3:20pm Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar 3:20pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

These wacky kids today and their angry little anthems. Oddly, Suicidal Tendencies was the first club gig I attended, at some underage age. They were touring for the first LP, is all I remember. .. that, and everyone was 30 feet tall and fake-scary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm Scott Williams:

I toast you, EFD - with my pepsi.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm efd:

That's all I wanted.
Avatar 3:22pm amEdeo:

You're on drugs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm BDR:

Most alluded to song ever?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Matt from Springfield:

Who among us isn't a little crazy, now and continually?

@Scott: Ask for an RC--really make some heads spin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Cory:

good afternoon everybody!
Avatar 3:25pm northguineahills:

I knew I was....
Avatar 3:26pm pat from the district of columbia:

wow Add N to (X) is not too shabby.
Avatar 3:26pm pat from the district of columbia:

time for my first snack of the day...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm Cory:

it's just a little pot I swear! oh wait, not me. thank god I never typed any of this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm Matt from Springfield:

@RTD: A soldier I used to work with once claimed to have said hello to Mike Muir in a diner late at night. If true, then nice to get a connection to him in my personal degrees of separation web.
Avatar 3:27pm northguineahills:

I somehow missed that Add N to (X).
Avatar 3:27pm amEdeo:

Whoa. Is this a new record Scortt?
Avatar 3:27pm Dave B:

For lack of a snappy entrance line, I will just say good afternoon Mr. Williams and greetings to all the 'FMUrs out there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Matt from Springfield:

*finger snaps*
Snappy just the way it was, Dave B!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm tim from champaign:

Is anyone else super stoked about the Hardcore Devo records coming out on vinyl finally?
Avatar 3:30pm northguineahills:

As I mentioned on GTDR, my gf has pressured me into getting rid of of some of my periodicals. So, I'm separating myself from all of my Wire magazines from 2006-2013 (keeping 1996-2005, even though you can read them online w/ a subscription). Same thing w/ my Nat Geos 2000-2003. Was hoping to get a decent tall boy out of the deal, but I'll probably just give them away for free.
Avatar 3:31pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

it was quite a goddamned ice-breaker into the world of big-boy shows, I'll say that much.
Avatar 3:31pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

GADZOOKS, this is wonderful.
  3:33pm common:

so funny!
Avatar 3:33pm _crazyandy_______________________________:

hahaha. I love it.
Avatar 3:34pm amEdeo:

Heeheeeheee heheehaheeeeeeeee
Avatar 3:34pm Faye:

good lord I have a newfound respect for Jesse Krakow
  3:35pm peter l.:

I'll drink to that.
Avatar 3:41pm northguineahills:

I can dig this Elma Mayer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm DCE:

say, what's going on around there today, Scott?
  3:42pm bloopy:

HEy scott :D
Avatar 3:43pm pat from the district of columbia:

tfc: I'm stoked now that I know about it
Avatar 3:44pm northguineahills:

I think we feel like your avatar, DCE....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm tim from champaign:

Yeah, Pat, they're coming out pretty soon on the Superior Viaduct label.
Avatar 3:50pm Chris from DC:

Superior Viaduct has put out some great stuff lately. Still enjoying that Sleepers album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm Cory:

Help! Should I get Infinity Gauntlet or The Killing Joke?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm DCE:

huh, we have a "Superior Viaduct" in Cleveland. The trains used to run on it under the Superior Ave bridge. Neat.
  3:59pm common:

nice! love this PIL tune.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm BDR:

What is the Kate Bush song that uses the exact same drums as this Dean Blunt. HELP! Then play it.
Avatar 4:13pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

BDR: Sat in Your Lap, from The Dreaming
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm BDR:

Yes! Found it myself just a second ago. Thanks.
Avatar 4:14pm Chris from DC:

Thanks you guys, that was nagging at me.
Avatar 4:14pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I obsessed like hell over that Kate album when I was a wee lad. All those sounds are in me bloodstream pretty deep. It's a fairly tweaked album, actually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm Matt from Springfield:

@RTD: Talk with DJ Julie about that--The Dreaming is her favorite Kate album as well. Certainly is an unusual album!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Andrew Waterloo:

the Klaus Dinger + Japandorf video for Udon is fun and educational.
Avatar 4:20pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar 4:36pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Dammit I would do the cicada thing but the suckers aren't invading DC like usual. Haven't seen a single one.
Avatar 4:39pm northguineahills:

We played on Governor's Island the weekend before last, and no cicadas. We were hoping to play w/ the cicadas.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm DCE:

I'm going to try to do one with some bugz I recorded in Maryland last summer. Cuz we ain't got no cicadas either!
Avatar 4:49pm Billy Jam:

all I wanted was a Pepsi....and some pot.....and amEdeo wouldn't get it for me.....Hi Scott
  5:03pm Pete in DC:

good stuff!
Avatar 5:05pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

very dig.
  5:15pm Parsnip Assassin:

All I wanted was 100,000 cicadas. Just 100,000 cicadas! And Mother (Nature) wouldn't give them to me! Just 100,000 cicadas! (heard there were some in a park in NW NJ though, maybe in some d.c.-area parks too?)
  5:18pm Cheers:

Temptation is a Traktor - what was that ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm Scott Williams:

@Cheers: Traktor remix! They're fun, hadn't done one in awhile
Avatar 5:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Oh My Bey! - It's *my* 'Friday' night...
Avatar 5:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...& tomorrow is WFMtUesday!!...
Avatar 5:42pm Sem Chumbo:

Insect dilemma: cicadas contain the same protein amount as red meat (pound per pound) and many vitamins and minerals.
Avatar 5:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...don't bug me about not eating animals...
Avatar 5:49pm Stanley:

my feet hurt from all this dancing
Avatar 5:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...if you eat a cicada
- do you get the ability to buzz like them?
- do they buzz inside you forever? every 17 years?
Avatar 5:50pm luthorvondoom:

Are vegetarians okay with eating insects? (Voluntarily)
Avatar 5:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

cicadas are not a vegetable.
Avatar 5:51pm Sem Chumbo:

Don't know anything about cicadian rhythm...or whether you get a buzz on when you eat them.
Avatar 5:53pm Sem Chumbo:

Cicadas have faces, so maybe they're a vegetarian non-no?
Avatar 5:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I still eat eggs & dairy - need cholesterol from *somewhere* (I *am* un 'Merikun).
- Less Killin', Still Fillin'...
Avatar 5:55pm luthorvondoom:

I've often wondered if you can make flour out of insects like cockroaches. I've heard of someone who sells bread made with ground-up beetles.
Avatar 5:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...they eat grasshoppers all the time in Mexico - people all over eat insects...
Avatar 5:56pm Faye:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Scott Williams:

this un's fer you faye! glad you popped in at the moment
Avatar 5:57pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- & of course - we all do from the fields (on yer veggies) & factories...
Avatar 5:58pm Faye:

Avatar 5:58pm Sem Chumbo:

LutherVan: yup, it is more of a meal than a flour, really. But its done, as RevRab says, everywhere.
