Avatar 7:26pm Billy Jam:

What up loc? - Hey ALF - good to have u tuned in....hey Tall Paul in Dublin! - @Spodi - good call on the L'Trimm similarity - same period from young female rappers - just found an interview I did with Icey Jaye back in 1990 on KALX
Avatar 7:27pm TheRapperWithNoName:

  7:28pm Marc B:

Ice Cube! West side!
  7:30pm spodiodi:

More Ice Cube
Avatar 7:30pm spidermank:

WTF is it about 90's hop? i am happily trapped in that vibe and all modern day equivalents , uncontrolabley danceablely coolfull, i reckon.
  7:30pm spodiodi:

Or more Ice T
  7:31pm Marmalade Kitty:

Did you hear about Tim Dog?

Avatar 7:32pm Billy Jam:

@ spidermank - I think it was still about being original in terms of samples used and lyrics written - whereas today (with popular rap at least) copying or "paying homage" (ripping off) others is accepted - and it is more about making a good hook and less about deep lyrics
  7:33pm spodiodi:

Ice T is a smart man
Avatar 7:34pm Billy Jam:

totally agreed Spodiodi - and a good guy who truly loves hip-hop
  7:41pm Marc B:

This is some good old style, bad ass rap - thanks for playing it!
Avatar 7:41pm spidermank:

good answer Billy cheers , propper respect for how you allways play new stuff that has those same qualities , its an ocean of bullshit out there in mainstream land ,thanks for keeping my musical faith alive Biilly

Avatar 7:52pm Billy Jam:

  7:55pm Marmalade Kitty:
