@Thomas: I saw Mim yesterday and I liked it a lot. I don't know whether the album matches the live show, but if it does I think you'd like it. And it's available for free with a CC license: www.a1000p.com

Former inmates are responsible for my office walls' decoration. Mostly posters of either festivals or conferences. There's a Stockhausen sticker though, it seems it's a food brand in Germany

i meant my home office (which is also the baby's room)... my work office is closer to that. lots of crap left by other people, a few family photos of mine

Thanks, Fred! Funny story about the Black Pus session on Marty's show back in 2012... A fill in DJ accidentally spilled beer on the main broadcast board, so the recording studio for live bands had to be converted temporarily into the main broadcast studio. This meant live bands couldn't play up there. I had to scramble to set up the board we use for remotes and mix on floor wedges and headphones on another floor in a sonically unisolated room to even make the session happen at all, and it totally wasn't ideal. Went with more of a "room capture" that time. This time we were able to get the regular live recording studio so I decided to go for "gnarly" instead!

- how can anybody not like Joe Frank?
- loving this intense Black Pus! ☆ Morning motivatin' (I work Sundays) & cathartic even...

@Ernie: Great story there, especially because "not ideal" turned out pretty good. Funny how sound guys often have disaster stories involving beer being spilled. I never heard one about herbal tea, for some reason.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am
fred:

I did hear about a composer ruining his laptop by spilling whisky. It was good stuff too, so we mourned the spill more than the hardware's demise

Ernie I:

When I looked at the beer drenched module, it had the scent of terrible old skunky beer. Nothing romantic about this drink spill haha...

Also, great show Thomas!

Thanks for playing "Habits" from the Athanor album. We recorded that stuff 40 years ago and it still sounds fresh on the radio. CD comes out in the U.S. on Tuesday!! Many thanks!!!!!

Thomas--I'm blown away that you played our Athanor song "Habits." I orginally wrote it for Dion DiMmucci but decided to keep it for us--for Rick and me. Thanks!!!
