Avatar 3:22am KP:

Avatar 3:24am KP:

Hey the Melvins are coming to NY.
Avatar 3:26am Brian in UK:

KP These boys were around early seventies making Byrds type sounds. Thought you might like a listen.

Avatar 3:27am Andy in Berlin:

@brian - well it's always breakfast time when the show starts. Bagels today.
Avatar 3:28am w41:

Good morning everyone! Time for breakfast, indeed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29am Stanley:

Avatar 3:30am Jay/London:

Good Morning Bill K P Brian in UK Andy in Berlin Steve R w41 and Stanley yes coffee indeed
  3:32am KP:

I've lost face!
  3:34am KP:

Hey Jay and all. Guess you all know there's been a little upheaval at FMU but Bill rode it out.
Avatar 3:37am Jay/London:

No KP i have been ill since last Weekend
  3:44am KP:

Wm Berger/My Castle of Quiet is exiting. That was an institution.
Avatar 3:44am Bill Mac:

Yep, spring cleaning is over here at FMU. We're good til December I think.
Avatar 3:47am Jay/London:

no Kp I love that show .. but Bill is safe
  3:48am michael and Birgit:

Black Flag was :cold, rainy, old and...great!!! Like the crowd... Three days ill after that. Saw them last time in SO 36 in Berlin 1984 or 1985,don`t remember exactly. Would like to see them with Rollins again...
Avatar 3:48am Bill Mac:

@KP Perhaps Mr Berger just needs a summer break.
  3:48am KP:

Spring cleaner finally got me too i guess.
Avatar 3:50am Bill Mac:

Yeah my favorite Black Flag was Rollins era
Avatar 3:52am Brian in UK:

Be able to hear Joe McGasko at a reasonable time.

David Byrne where are you?
  3:53am michael and Birgit:

Alan Vega...always cool!
  3:55am KP:

I hope so. I counted on him for nightmares,
  3:57am KP:

I am unhappy about mcgasko's move. We had a good hangout on Saturday nights. Fun guy
Avatar 3:59am Bill Mac:

Joe's great. He works here during the day, so the shift to days is real convenient for him
Avatar 4:02am Jay/London:

would you like to move your time slot bill .. this time is good for us all over this side of the pond
Avatar 4:03am Brian in UK:

Stanley in answer to your question. Laver bread, black bacon and a couple of our chickens eggs. Mmmmm
Same for Bill.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04am Stanley:

@Brian - coming rhaaaaaaaaat up!
Avatar 4:06am Brian in UK:

Not many people know this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12am Stanley:

@Brian - I might be moving to Montana, soon.
Avatar 4:14am Bill Mac:

Funny, the news here in the states say many older US residents are picking up and moving to Ecuador. Lots cheaper for sure.
Avatar 4:15am Brian in UK:

Lyle's got a song for you

Open wide say Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  4:15am KP:

@Stanley, good one
Avatar 4:16am Bill Mac:

Raising it up..... waxin' it down....
Avatar 4:17am Brian in UK:

Good set, Bill. Lots of trouble in Istanbul right now. This Turkish singer reminds me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17am Mrs Stanley:

Montana? first ive heard. hi bill and pals
  4:17am KP:

I hadn't heard that one Bill, but my brother has a home in Mexico. He's a winter guy there but he says many US peeps are moving in fulltime.
Avatar 4:18am Brian in UK:

@KP do they have to run the border to get over?
  4:19am Emile:

heppy june y'all
Avatar 4:19am Bill Mac:

Hi Mrs. Stanley!
@KP Yeah ABC did a report on Quito, the capital city. Looks like a sweet deal. Maybe that's where they go to get converted to food. Remember Soylent Green?
Avatar 4:20am Bill Mac:

Emile howsit going? June all month here!
  4:23am Emile:

Good. Saw Kurt Vile earlier this week. The audience was shockingly appreciative. Cool to see him make it large.
Avatar 4:26am Bill Mac:

Keep forgetting Kurt's a Philly boy.
  4:28am KP:

I just saw Kurt Vile in NYC. An English guy who turned out to be a producer asked me who Kurt vile was and what venue it was, he was lost.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28am Stanley:

Avatar 4:29am Bill Mac:

I'm so predictable - moving music!
Avatar 4:29am Andy in Berlin:

I am sorry for William Berger's absence. I rarely listened to him but I found it comforing to know that he was there. Faye's move is particularly distressing, I used to regularly listen to Meghan and then her and now she's at a very inconvenient time for over here. Thank god for the archives, I guess. Everything else seems ok, at a quick glance at least.
Avatar 4:30am Jay/London:

Soylent Green that was Edward G Robinson's last Film .... good to have a bit of frank Zappa
  4:30am KP:

It seems that way, I could see moving outside NY a little but Ecuador is a bit much
Avatar 4:32am Bill Mac:

They showed the skyline where this one couple was living. It looked cool, but yeah, bit of culture shock. If your hearty enough to live near a real city then you get to reap the benefits of civilization.
Avatar 4:32am Brian in UK:

Am I being naive or was there Zappa inflections in Leon Thomas' singing?
Avatar 4:32am Steve R:

Tina Turner & The Ikettes singing the vocalettes
Avatar 4:34am Bill Mac:

@Brian I thought there was an eveness between the two songs myself.
Avatar 4:34am Bill Mac:

@Steve R - Wow! How did that one get by me?
Avatar 4:35am Brian in UK:

Fuckin' great set, Bill. Really gotta walk the dog, this is not helping!
Avatar 4:36am Steve R:

It's uncredited..Tina would serve homemade stew at the recordings
  4:39am KP:

Faye became very popular very quickly. Her new time, Saturday evenings here, is not convenient, and joe Mcgasko is a fun chatty host better suited to late night, I think.
Avatar 4:40am Brian in UK:

  4:41am KP:

My ace in hole is Woodstock/Catskills. Cheap and not far from NYC
Avatar 4:44am Andy in Berlin:

@KP - Faye is great! Nice to know she's popular, too.
  4:45am KP:

I listen to Faye on archives a lot. She is so popular you really cant chat there. Her grasp of new music is amazing, great for driving on archive
  4:48am KP:

I remember when she was coming in at 3 am as fill in. You could tell right away she was special. Still, she's no Bill Mac with his multicultural, intergenerational approach.
Avatar 4:48am Bill Mac:

I don't worry about Berger not being on - I'm sure he'll be back.
Avatar 4:49am Bill Mac:

@KP - Thanks although I'm never sure what the heck I'm doing.
Avatar 4:52am Jay/London:

I pity People who only Listen to top 40 radio ect .. when they are missing this
Avatar 4:55am Bill Mac:

People generally find something to get nerdy over - we're music nerds.
Avatar 4:57am Steve R:

and star dust
  4:58am KP:

Bill you are bridging the pond, bringing people together. It's like Monterey Pop every Friday night/Saturday morning.
Avatar 4:59am Bill Mac:

Playing music and hanging with good people - awesome...
  4:59am KP:

  5:01am KP:

Ian's political song was so great. He was and maybe still is a Woodstock guy
Avatar 5:01am Looms:

  5:03am KP:

All these friends of mine have played with Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, Danko, Helm. They just drive up there. Hey those guys are gone! Yeesh
Avatar 5:25am w41:

Bill, please play something to make me believe I can sustain this somnambulistic life rhythm of sleeping 4 hours a day for 6 more days... in a week it'll be OVAH
Avatar 5:27am Bill Mac:

@W41 For the week? The year? forever?
Avatar 5:29am w41:

For the week that seemed Forever.
Avatar 5:30am Brian in UK:

Rick Dank's voice. I recently bought Cahoots again.
Avatar 5:32am Brian in UK:

Big Walter?
Avatar 5:36am Bill Mac:

Sorry bout that. Sonny Terry to be exact
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38am Stanley:

I'm one for listening live, though the archives are a great thing and I'm often listening to them.
Its about a feeling of participating.

Digging the R L Burnside.
Avatar 5:40am Brian in UK:

Stanley where's our breakfast?
Avatar 5:40am Bill Mac:

I definitely feel the participation thing. Wouldn't be worth it unless you people are there.
Can't go wrong with RL
Avatar 5:40am Bill Mac:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41am Stanley:

Keep your hair on Brian.
I've got bacon and eggs for fifteen hundred to do!
Avatar 5:44am Jay/London:

Yes Stanley you are right it's better to listen live bill's show has become a not to miss event with Saturday Breakfast ... Hey Stanley those eggs ready yet !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49am Stanley:

@Jay - if they moved Bill's show, there would be a riot over here.
(a small one, anyway)
Avatar 5:49am Brian in UK:

Stanley that hair comment is appropriate given this programmes title.
Avatar 5:50am Brian in UK:

Sing along everyone.
Avatar 5:51am Bill Mac:

A couple guys punching each other in the neck...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51am Stanley:

Avatar 5:52am Brian in UK:

Bill have you got Granpa's Grave?
Avatar 5:53am Jay/London:

well another great show and thanks for the peter sellers :)
Avatar 5:53am Bill Mac:

@Brian Can't says I do - who does it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54am Stanley:

Won'ful to 'ear Peter Sellers.
Avatar 5:54am Brian in UK:

The cockney rhyming slang for a toupee is a syrup (syrup of fig = Wig)

Yuk yuk yuk I loves it Olive
Avatar 5:56am Brian in UK:

Bill it is the flip side of Peter Sellers/Sophia Loren Goodness Gracious Me. Thought it might be on the PS Collection
Avatar 5:57am Bill Mac:

Argh! Oh righty Mates - see you next week all willing. Good week, better weekend. CU Later - and yeah I think we might have another PS disk somewhere, I'll look for it. Later!
Avatar 5:57am Brian in UK:

Cracking show, Bill. Drive home safely. Hope you get breakfast. Hint hint.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Stanley:

Thanks, Bill, another great show.
Now if you will all form an orderly queue with your plates, breakfast is ready.
Avatar 5:59am Looms:

tx bill!
