howdy, hearty.
Avatar 7:05pm amEdeo:

Well hello friends! May we honor Ogden Whitney with our every word this week.
Avatar 7:06pm Danne Duckcaller:

Hi Hearty Heroes. This is like a Hearty White Radio Play :D
Avatar 7:08pm cosmic matrix:

wow hearty you do that female voice very well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm Matthyou Springwater:

Howdy Hearty, and Heartyfolk!
WHOA! Actual dialogue on Hearty's show! But...I like it better when he converses with himself.. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Mike East:

I was just telling my daughter that starfish can regenerate their arms. She asked what happens if you cut it in half...does anyone know? Do you get two?
Avatar 7:09pm Danne Duckcaller:

wait a sec that sounds like Andrea :)
Avatar 7:10pm amEdeo E. amEdeocorn:

Oh fine, I guess I was being lazy with my name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm dale:

oooh, special guest star!

Avatar 7:10pm Philo Gristle:

Ogden Whitney? I've been honoring Alex Raymond this week. Usually though it's Dick Briefer. Hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm dale:

this brown lama sounds a bit vague as to scientific specifics. must be a big picture lama
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm Matthyou Springwater:

Whoa, now it IS a radio play. Props!
Hey Mike! I dunno...maybe if you cut out too much of the middle of the starfish in the process, you may get a single re-generation, but with fewer than 5 arms. Have to find that out...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm dale:

hey! i just said that!
Avatar 7:14pm amEdeo E. amEdeocorn:

Hi Philo! Alex Raymond is a just cause I suppose. Though I always have had a softer spot for Roy Crane. I like his waves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm Matthyou Springwater:

@Danne: I think you're right about Satchel :)
Avatar 7:16pm cosmic matrix:

a dark shaft?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm Matthyou Springwater:

(Oooh, better slip a royalty check, just to be safe...)
Avatar 7:17pm cosmic matrix:

make a move on her, hearty!
Avatar 7:18pm Philo Gristle:

I just got some review copies of the two recent Flash Gordon reprints, and am really enjoying them more than I thought I would. I like Crane, but Caniff via Hugo Pratt is where it really hits home for me! Jim Woodring for waves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Matthyou Springwater:

@Philo: Sounds cool! When were those Flash Gordons first published?
Avatar 7:22pm Philo Gristle:

@Matt late 30s early 40s! Sequential art, for sure.
  7:22pm DPCD:

And so,
A one "L" lama is a beast.
A 2 "L" llama is a Priest.
What's a 3 "L" lllama?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm Matthyou Springwater:

Golden Age of comics!
Avatar 7:23pm Philo Gristle:

Hearty's story sounds like a Flash Gordon tale. Or Island of Dr. Moreau.
Avatar 7:23pm amEdeo:

OooOooOh review copies. Hugo Pratt is pretty excellent though. Woodring waves are nice, but a bit too stylized for learnin' about the shapes of the sea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm Matthyou Springwater:

Fret not, for this is how we discover new frontiers of toast!! :)
Avatar 7:26pm Philo Gristle:

Golden Age of comics is 12. I try and find my inner child. Hugo Pratt is the closest to inform my own drawings; a thick and a thin sharpie go well together. Pratt is great for sea for sure!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm dale:

i thought the too ell llama was a yama - the wonderful hairy beast?
Avatar 7:26pm amEdeo E. amEdeocorn:

There's another newspaper strip guy who I like, but I always forgot his name. I know it's one of those three part namers. I want to say the first name starts with "R"?
I'll email you it when I remember.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm Matthyou Springwater:

Cumin percussion..great idea!
  7:30pm DPCD:

Just messin with ya.
Priest, beast, and really big fire.
Get it? 3 allarm...
dear God.
Y'all are too intellectual for your own good.
Avatar 7:31pm Danne Duckcaller:

amEdeocorn is a fine surname :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm Matthyou Springwater:

@DPCD: I'm sorry. I'm *quite* sorry.... ;)
Avatar 7:35pm Philo Gristle:

I'm blanking out myself, but I bet it's a familiar name! Logging to listen offline, so nighty night hearty folk. And go say hi to kat (and have a listen to her latest and my so-far fave) at: tinyurl.com...
Avatar 7:36pm Danne Duckcaller:

I have to leave folks :( But have a wonderful night and thanks Hearty for all you do :)
Avatar 7:36pm amEdeo E. amEdeocorn:

Nighto Philo and Danne!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm Matthyou Springwater:

See ya later, Mr. Duckcaller and Mr. Gristle! (And Mrs. Water too!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm Matthyou Springwater:

"Next week, on Mee-Maw's Corner"...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm dale:

i always thought that referenced lucille ball's communist dealings

this show is so multidimensional!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm Matthyou Springwater:

Intellectual spelunking!!! Here we GO!!

@cosmic matrix: We can't even see them all! :D
  7:57pm HoneyKat ♥♥♥:

On the subject of spelunking: When you're driving east on I-64 toward Lullville one of these days, Hearty, (soonish I hope) take note of the Squire Boone Cavern billboards. That cave system was our absolute fave noncommercial spelunking spot among my high school gang back in the days before someone bought it and gaudied it up for the public.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm dale:

this is good advice for life - just waft it towards you.
Avatar 7:57pm cosmic matrix:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm Matthyou Springwater:

All right, great 'sperimentin tonight, Hearty! Mmm, spearmint...
Have a great night Heartyfolk! :)
Avatar 8:01pm Philo Gristle:

@DCPD Sorry you're such an ass. Guess I should know better than to come back on the list. And kat & I say thanks y'all for your support. Bye.
