Just outside of it yeah. The UV Race also are on that bill! Not to be slept on.

Are you pullin' our legs, Faye?
  10:10am Ahmad:

I would honestly almost (almost) rather have that Scott and Charlene's Wedding/Household/UV Race bill that was in NYC the other night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10am tim from champaign:

What's do you folks think about Ariel Pink? I'm not very familiar. They're playing in town soon and I'm wondering if I should go.
Avatar 10:11am dc pat:

Avatar 10:12am Cheri Pi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am Greg from Bloomfield:

You can't fool me, Strapping Fieldhands. You're from Philly, not New Zealand.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am SeanG:

I'm down with this
Avatar 10:28am Rev. Turnip Druid:

I'll agree: it is the best method of keeping Fieldhands secured to the roof-rack during long trips.
  10:29am pgw in mntclr:

the Fieldhands' "The Author in Her Ear" is a fantastic pop song
Avatar 10:31am KP:

Did i know there was a band called Supercar?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31am Ike:

Ah, Supercar! Cool. I've got some of their stuff floating around somewhere, neglected. I wonder if I have this one.
Avatar 10:31am TV's WFMU Listener 8442:

Avatar 10:40am northguineahills:

@Tim: Ariel Pink is rather fun live, even better then his recorded stuff, although the last time I saw him was four years ago.
Avatar 10:40am Faye:

  10:40am Sean:

My Boyfriend is in Killdozer has just made my day. THANK YOU, FAYE!!!
  10:40am Cecile:

I WISH my boyfriend's band was Killdozer. They were great.
Avatar 10:41am TV's WFMU Listener 8442:

Ha! I've never heard that amazingly-titled YFF track before! Made my day as well!, THANKS!
Swag For Life Member 10:41am 12539:

I suggest "WHERE THE HELL IS THE ANIMATION, FAYE?" as a title for today's show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am tim from champaign:

Thanks, ngh. Another vote in Ariel Pink's favor.
Avatar 10:45am dc pat:

Kitchen and the Plastic Spoons is my new favorite group.
Avatar 10:45am northguineahills:

I was just about to type that, dc pat.
Avatar 10:46am listener mark:

The animation is right there! It's a swirly sort of square, round thing.
  10:46am nah:

Sounds like Peppermint Butler is singing.
Avatar 10:46am Faye:

I think that the next track I'm about to play might be influenced by this band...
Avatar 10:47am Chris from DC:

What DCP said.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am tim from champaign:

Last weekend I saw Population. Similar to Kitchen and the Plastic Spoons. What really struck me about Population was that they looked like a band out of the pages of Love & Rockets comic and sounded just how I imagined a Love & Rockets band to sound.
  10:50am Ahmad:

Fracking Fluid Injection might be my track of the year thus far. This one is no slouch either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am SeanG:

that Grimes cover was nice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54am maestroso:

Wow. The Knife. Cool sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am SeanG:

Berrocal might be the coolest dude in the universe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am fred:

Wow, Ginsberg in French, with Jac Berrocal on trumpet.
  11:03am c:

HI. Sacre is a musical setting of Allen Ginsburg's "Holy" Patti Smith does a cover-- I think it is on Tramping.... the english text is excellent
  11:04am c:

Sacre means "holy" or "sacred"
  11:04am Barb:

"Phoning It In" was on WMBR, 88.1 FM in Cambridge (MIT's radio station)
  11:08am ?:

what was that meow meow meow song?
Avatar 11:13am listener mark:

Thank you Faye! Eleven O'Clock is Sharp. It has points! Three O'Clock and Eight O'Clock not sharp. A wonderfully wandering walk in the musicial mix that is WFMU. Damn, I'm getting this prescription refilled.
Avatar 11:19am dc pat:

I just starred a Eurythmics tune. How'd that happen?
Avatar 11:21am TV's WFMU Listener 8442:

I'm looking over the playlist and It's Split 7" Day on Hello Children.
  11:21am Haruka:

This must be the Merzbow that noise purists consider "too musical". Thanks for playing it.
Avatar 11:22am northguineahills:

I used to have some mid 80s Merzbow, and it was all mostly cup-up tape collages, and not loud at all.
Avatar 11:22am northguineahills:

I let someone borrow it, haven't seen it since.
Avatar 11:24am dc pat:

well you gotta play Parquet Courts now...
Avatar 11:24am Faye:

sure Haruka!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am tim from champaign:

I like that the singer of UV Race is a big dude.
Avatar 11:24am Rev. Turnip Druid:

"noise purists" should be caged with people who quote Python skits. With no access to food. Only blunt objects.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Mike East:

Avatar 11:25am dc pat:

well if you have kids you become a Python quoter, sorry but it's a fact.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am Mike East:

can we put people who type in all caps in the cage, too?
Avatar 11:26am dc pat:

  11:27am Ahmad:

Singer of UV Race is apparently into singing in his underwear. http://instagram.com/p/ZmWWYkHDHQ/
Avatar 11:27am dc pat:

hmmm. not sure I'm convinced about UV Race. Will have to do some more listenin before Saturday..
Avatar 11:28am dc pat:

oh, well if he plays in his underwear then I'm sold.
  11:28am Ahmad:

Why do my links never show up clickable?
Avatar 11:28am northguineahills:

dc pat yet again is quick on the draw (@Mike).
  11:28am Ahmad:

666 math answer FTW
Avatar 11:28am Rev. Turnip Druid:

OH I'M ONE OF YOU, make no mistake: I had all the python LPs as a kid & memorized 'em all like the rest of us. But seeing Holy Grail in the theater again a few years ago & being surrounded by quoters.... that was dreadful...
Avatar 11:29am dc pat:

you have to log in.
Avatar 11:29am Chris from DC:

Eagerly awaiting that Milkfloat/Milky Wimpshake tour.
Avatar 11:29am dc pat:

yeah, I see what you mean. That would suck.
Avatar 11:31am dc pat:

you should probably switch off the radio for this one mark in the UK
Avatar 11:31am andymorphic:

isn't there a new fall album this week?
Avatar 11:32am Faye:

Chris from DC, GENIUS!! and also Milk Music maybe as an opener
  11:32am Ahmad:

Hmm. So I have to choose between math questions and clickable links. Tough one. #firstworldproblems
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am Andrew Waterloo:

I've only recently realized that I gained much of my sense of humour from python through school yard friends when I was a kid.
  11:33am Ahmad:

Screenings of that Super Milk Chan anime show between bands.
Avatar 11:35am Chris from DC:

Oh of course, Milk Music. Local Suppport in DC from Milk Machine.
Avatar 11:37am dc pat:

and before Python was the Goon Show which is where Lennon got all his material.
