I noticed this years ago, but Liz's updating on the playlist is the antithesis of Fabios rate of updating.

Liz Berg:

That's just because I'm anal, NGH! Gotta type in the song name ahead of time, so that I can just hit go once I press the play button. Typing in the song info while the song is playing stresses me out!

Has Girogio ever thought of giving the Metropolis treatment to any other silent films? Was it an idea he came up with himself or something that was requested of him?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am
Liz Berg:

Yeah! I'm so excited to meet Giorgio Moroder! His influence is EVERYWHERE. Let me know if you have suggestions about what to ask him.
  10:44am
Vojislavius:

hurts so bad, what a track!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am
efd:

OK, a few suggestions for Giorgio Moroder questions:
1. His thoughts on evolving from the glam-pop style in the early '70s to the signature dance/disco productions that he became best known for.
2. What was the inspiration for that repetitive synth sound that became a trademark of his production style?
3. Any specific thoughts or memories related to the album he did with Sparks?

I can't wait to hear it, whatever you end up talking about!
  10:47am
KP:

There are no recording artists who were active before I was born and that includes Thomas Edison.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am
Liz Berg:

Great ideas Joe and EFD! I definitely want to know what influenced his electronic weirdo stuff, but I guess you're right about it being a repetitive synth sound that carried through his career.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am
joe:

How early in the film process does he get brought in to start getting ideas? Does he come up with his rough concept first or is it a collaborative effort with the director, writer etc to get a basic concept.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am
joe:

Was it his choice to put Angel on the soundtrack for Foxes? (just kidding)
Avatar 10:52am
Sean D. Daily:

Dan Deacon makes me happy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am
joe:

To go along with EFD what brought him to the heavy usage of electronic sound? How was introduced to it?
Avatar 11:01am

Ag, Moog Mondays has returned! Thanks BitBerg!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am

this is the greatest Giorgio album ever! the whole album is great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am
joe:

Last one I promise any thoughts or memories on Donna Summer's Love To Love you Baby?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am
Liz Berg:

I feel like every interview with Moroder focuses very heavily on his work with Donna Summer, so I think I'm just gonna ask about other aspects of his career.
Avatar 11:07am
fred von helsing:

What planet am I on ? This set is danged cool :-D
Avatar 11:08am
Cecile:

when did he get his first synthesiser? What is his musical training, if any?

You could talk to him about Munich Machine

Who does he look up to as an artist?

I think film work has special aspect because of personalities involved. Scarface and Cat People sort of jump out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am

I starred the last song of each set so far today. It may not sound like much, but 3 stars in a show may be a personal record
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am
Asheville Jon:

when is this Giorgio interview? is it going to be streamed online?
  11:30am
KP:

Ask if he would consider a soundtrack for "Alternate Side Of Street Parking." Actually, you do great job of it.
  11:32am
Ahmad:

My head would pretty much just spin off if I lived in the NY area and had to choose between all those shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am

Thanks for the nice words you guys! I'll be meeting Giorgio this week, and the interview will air in a couple of weeks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am

Thanks. You can tell him that "from Here To Eternity" works better than Barry White for getting the ladies!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36am

How much interaction is there with directors and who has been best and maybe worst to work with.
