Greetings from us Lazy Europeans! ;-) It's a public holiday here in England so chilling like I mean it this afternoon - how about some Boards of Canada?
Avatar 9:12am dc pat:

'lo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am DCE:

when everyone was talking about a new "BOC" album I naturally assumed it meant Blue Oyster Cult! duy.
Avatar 9:14am nah:

I like to imagine these bleeps help me study here in the non-lazy section of Europe

B23 here! Ooh, this sounds like more sadistic ice cream truck music! And what CP said, we missed you. You're not allowed to take a day off again!
Avatar 9:16am BigLankySmoggie:

Wonder if new Boards album comes out in the States before it does here in Blighty? If so, hoping you will wall to wall it. ;-)

Today's 5:30am train ride was full of drunk ladies with loads of black eye makeup. One was sort of Amy Winehouse-esque, the other two had what looked like henna tattoos around each eye but they were drawn in black sharpie (one gal's were super smudged). Always a surprise on the subway!
Avatar 9:27am Cheri Pi:

Oooh I like this dirty synth sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am braveness23:

Oh, more gritty music. Someone forgot to wash their synthesizers this weekend!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36am DCE:

the breeze was blowing, the synthesizers were hanging on lines, drying, swaying gently
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37am Rick from SC:

Yea, again, for the Free Music Archive
Avatar 9:43am Jennique:

Morning Liz Berg! Just thought up a nickname for you - BitBerg.

Anyone else catch that Deerhunter DC Sixth and I Synagogue show two weeks ago?
Avatar 9:47am Cheri Pi:

great tune. Vlasta Popic!

Love it, Jennique! I shall bear my new nickname proudly!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am Cory:

This Julian Lynch track is awesome
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52am DCE:

Julian Lynch has never disappointed me.
  9:52am Ahmad:

Yeah, liking this a good bit.

Dust masks are a fashion accessory in Beijing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am Liz Berg:

Are folks blinging out their dust masks yet?
Avatar 10:01am nah:

I believe I have seen a photo of someone with a rhinestone-encrusted one
  10:01am Malcolm:

I like this english singles song
  10:02am Robert:

It made sense for the winner of that FMA contest to concentrate on the instrumental part of the music to "The Spaniard...", which they were great at, rather than the singing, because the crackpot singer version Ken played was SO IN CHARACTER, deliberately or not, that nobody could beat that.
  10:03am Ahmad:

Yay more twee!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06am Skirkie:

Anyone have any trouble with BEES? www.nj.com...
Avatar 10:09am Rev. Turnip Druid:

getting some lovely Snakefinger eyelid cartoons from this Pumice tune.
Avatar 10:09am Lonious Monk:

bonjour Liz ! Bonjour listeners !
Avatar 10:09am dc pat:

B1 by Pumice = my new favorite tune of all time.
Avatar 10:10am Rev. Turnip Druid:

That star just had the CRAP clicked out of it.
Avatar 10:11am dc pat:

that star's going to need to take it easy for a while after the amount of clicking it just got...
  10:14am Ahmad:

Must resist temptation to plug the good Reverend's gig tonight at the Galaxy Hut in Arlington shamelessly. Oh wait did I just think that or did I just say it?
Avatar 10:14am Rev. Turnip Druid:

That star's ASS is GRASS at recess.
Avatar 10:14am Rev. Turnip Druid:

I have no idea what I just said. It never made sense at school either.
Avatar 10:15am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Shameless Ahmad has no shame!

Trying to shake this bug so that I can make it but it is not looking good.
Avatar 10:18am Chris from DC:

Still wrapping my head around the upcoming bill of Cold Cave and Boyd Rice.
Avatar 10:19am Rev. Turnip Druid:

The set will therefore be called BUGSHAKER. Maybe.
  10:19am berlusconi's nose:

You can buy them already blinged
Avatar 10:19am Rev. Turnip Druid:

aye, Chris. My head's pretty damned flexible but it's not wrapping around that one yet.
Avatar 10:20am fred von helsing:

Avatar 10:21am Cheri Pi:

Is Boyd Rice still alive?
Avatar 10:22am Chris from DC:

Apparently yes he is.
Avatar 10:23am Rev. Turnip Druid:

He'd better be, at least by the time of the DC gig.
Avatar 10:24am Cheri Pi:

WOW. I knew a guy in highschool that was completely obsessed with BR, he even moved across the country to live near him, but was too shy to ever talk to him. eventually my friend would o.d. w/o ever having met his hero, poor baby.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am Michele:

Hi Liz! Love Hardbodies, they put on a great live show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am Liz Berg:

Did some research, and I think that hit song by Pumice is actually by Kraus! D'oh! Sorry for the confusion. To my defense, the 7" is a split between 4 artists and Pumice is listed 3rd (which I thought corresponded to the 3rd song on the 7"). Silly me. According to Kraak, it's Kraus:
www.kraak.net...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am tim from champaign:

I can't stomach Boyd Rice. I have a hard time believing his racism is just a put on. If it is, then it's a mighty stupid put on.
Avatar 10:26am dc pat:

oh...well then... it wasn't THAT good...
Avatar 10:28am dc pat:

I'm with tim..
Avatar 10:31am Cheri Pi:

waht DCP said re: what TfC said.
Avatar 10:32am Chris from DC:

Not a huge fan myself, just thought it was an odd pairing.
Avatar 10:33am Cheri Pi:

yeah, that's a really strange affair CFDC.
Avatar 10:35am KP:

Hello, Liz. Sounds great
  10:36am berlusconi's nose:

Now that I think about it, I guess they are actually surgical masks. Guess Clinic was ahead of their time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am tim from champaign:

This sounds excellent.
  10:46am Ahmad:

Prurient is the connector between Cold Cave and Boyd Rice, by the way. At least I think it is?
  10:48am Ahmad:

Or should I say he is?
Avatar 10:50am Cheri Pi:

Yeah this is my first foray into Deerhunter too, I like eet!
  10:51am Ahmad:

The WFMU studio suits them better than a synagogue.

  10:55am Ahmad:

Not sure that they drew this part out this long. They were up against a hard curfew.
Avatar 10:55am Rev. Turnip Druid:

I'll take it.
Avatar 10:56am Chris from DC:

It's like their version of "You Made Me Realise".
Avatar 10:58am Cheri Pi:

Avatar 10:59am doca:

  11:07am blee:

I hear some trippy stuff behind this Carter Family. What was in that ciggy, Cheri?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07am Parq:

Now that was a jarring transition. I looked up when I heard the Carter family and muttered, "Noon already?"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Parq:

Not that I'm complaining ...
Avatar 11:11am Cheri Pi:

I do declare this whole set an utter delight & success. Thanks for the patch of good feedback and space-tracks DJBC.
