Avatar 3:46am Bill Mac:

Avatar 3:47am fred von helsing:

harken back ye hardy souls to the 60s, when spring was spring and music was music
Avatar 3:47am Bill Mac:

Avatar 3:51am Jay/London:

Avatar 3:51am Bill Mac:

If you can get past the goo, you'll find they're quite nourishing. They're loaded with protein
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51am Julie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53am Julie:

Avatar 3:56am fred von helsing:

Bring me the head of Phliip !
Avatar 4:01am KP:

Fred, that did it, I found one.
Avatar 4:03am fred von helsing:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08am Stanley:

Shrunken Head?!? Yep, that sums me up this morning. Like this Sun Dial, though.
Avatar 4:09am KP:

Sun Dial, good.
Avatar 4:10am Bill Mac:

Yes yes, missed Sundial first time around. The albums from 1990 or so
Avatar 4:10am KP:

Main complaint about new digs, Bill, is I still can't get Wfmu over air. Berry upsetting.
  4:11am Avant Reguard:

great show, thanks.
Avatar 4:11am Bill Mac:

Hey Avant, pleasure....
Avatar 4:11am Bill Mac:

@KP How far are you from here?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12am cklequ:

What Avant Reguard said.
I'm not even supposed to be here.... Lucky for me, my insomnia has kicked back in. Is it wrong to be drinking a strong IPA at 4 am to try to lull myself back to sleep?
Avatar 4:13am Bill Mac:

@cklequ. Have some eggs with it and call it breakfast.
Avatar 4:17am fred von helsing:

speaking of breakfast...
Avatar 4:20am KP:

I'm in Stuytown, 20th & Ave C overlooking East River. It's a great view and everything is nice but what good is it if I can't get fmu on radio?
Avatar 4:22am Looms:

Swans old time fave, just pumped up the volume.
Avatar 4:23am Bill Mac:

I have a live version of this tune that is nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24am cklequ:

That Deux Filles was just what i needed...
WFMU is constantly opening my eyes to records i could have bought for pennies when they first came out that sell for hundreds of dollars these days. What was i listening to back then?
Avatar 4:24am Bill Mac:

@KP That's not Jersey City is it?
Avatar 4:24am fred von helsing:

sounds like he's passing a kidney stone
Avatar 4:26am Bill Mac:

@cklequ It's a bit humbling being here knowing the same thing that you're talking about. I DID have this Uriah Heep album though....
4:26am Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

I'm seeing the MF'IN Cheater Slicks in downtown Portland right now!!!!! Have a great show, Bill! I'll come back through in the archives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26am Stanley:

Heep!! I gotta get outa bed for this one!
Avatar 4:27am Bill Mac:

@Fred Guys pushing 60 and he sounds like the kidney stones have gotten bigger.
Avatar 4:27am Bill Mac:

Hey Adam, awesome, another classic band. Thanks for popping in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28am kim (germland):

my first favourite record
Avatar 4:28am fred von helsing:

there's an app for that
Avatar 4:28am Bill Mac:

@Stanley - These guys are still crankin em out too, whoever's left of them.
Avatar 4:29am Bill Mac:

@Kim Really?
Avatar 4:29am fred von helsing:

for some reason uriah heap and jethro tull seem to occupy the same mental space
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30am kim (germland):

yes, was a big heep fan, til byron left
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30am kim (germland):

and then tull
Avatar 4:32am Bill Mac:

Timewise they certainly do - I was a bigger fan of Heep until Sweet Freedom I think. If you took all of their best material, you'd have one really good album. I like them better then Deep Purple though
Avatar 4:34am KP:

You know bill, working in jersey city all that time, and seeing the station, I really grew to appreciate the place. I liked idea of being so close but still having suburban comforts, not to mention the station over the air. But I dont make those decisions.
Avatar 4:36am Bill Mac:

KP Here's hoping that we're still here for awhile... door's always open bud.
Avatar 4:36am fred von helsing:

in 80ish there was a cool iranian restaurant in jersey city / edgewater, along the river, with belly dancers on the weekends but I'd 'spect it's history
Avatar 4:38am Bill Mac:

Too bad, it sounds like it would be cool. Are there any on the water type places you guys know of with good reasonably priced food
Avatar 4:40am fred von helsing:

ave maria meets walter pidgeon

Avatar 4:48am fred von helsing:

a great seg is a thing of joy and beauty
Avatar 4:50am fred von helsing:

yup he had a stint in the funny farm
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59am kim (germland):

another favourite !!!
Avatar 5:00am KP:

Rolling Stone's first big rock/photo book had a shot that purported to be only known one of Ian Hunter w/o sunglasses. It was Mick Box of Uriah Heep. Hunter might have laughed at that but he could not have been flattered.
Avatar 5:01am Bill Mac:

Both had curly hair... end of story right?
Avatar 5:03am fred von helsing:

NICE seg !
Avatar 5:06am KP:

Box had a huge nose, esp. in a whole page pic in a coffee table book.
Avatar 5:14am Bill Mac:

Yeah, the guys in that weren't what I'd refer to as fashion plates
  5:15am Marmalade Kitty:

Avatar 5:17am Bill Mac:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23am Julie:

This is nice I like this :)
  5:24am Marmalade Kitty:

genre-twisting !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24am cklequ:

This Shahram track is great.
Avatar 5:24am Bill Mac:

Pink and Frilly
  5:25am andy in berlin:

had to go out to get something for breakfast and you kept playing something I liked.
  5:25am Marmalade Kitty:

genre ?
Avatar 5:26am Bill Mac:

Hey Andy, that's what archives are for.... so you kin eat!
Avatar 5:27am KP:

Bill, I'm going to take you for a walk. Need better parking spot. Hold on now ... that was nice.
Avatar 5:27am Bill Mac:

I could use some exercise....
  5:30am andy in berlin:

true but it couldn't keep me from freezing at thr door when Half Japanese came on.
  5:30am Marmalade Kitty:

You and me both fav this song, Stanley
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31am Julie:

who says it can't be black and frilly? You ever see the goth lolitas? :)
  5:31am Marmalade Kitty:

Top set Mr. Mac!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32am Julie:

I do not like my pink heart, where is my black one : (
  5:32am Marmalade Kitty:

mine must be black..?
  5:34am Marmalade Kitty:

Wanna swap, Julie?
Avatar 5:34am fred von helsing:

the beat of the radio jungle
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35am Stanley:

@MK - so, your ESP is working again, eh?
  5:37am Marmalade Kitty:

ESP working, but computer switching itself off every 20mins or so..? must be tired, poor thing!
Avatar 5:37am fred von helsing:

"sweezh" :)
Avatar 5:39am Jay/London:

rag yay
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39am cklequ:

Damn.... I was supposed to try to get back to sleep. Soon the coffee shop will be open, the sun will be up, and the students will be selling art. And now it's accordions.....

I'm predicting an afternoon nap.
Avatar 5:41am guglielm:

can anybody identify some unknown tracks for me (recorded from WFMU ages ago)?
Avatar 5:41am Jay/London:

has anyone seen the accordion clip from Holy Motors film
Avatar 5:43am Bill Mac:

Hi Gug.... I likes this game
@cklequ - Hey man - me too
  5:43am andy in berlin:

@Jay - I saw the whole movie. I liked it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44am Stanley:

@cklequ - was wondering how you were getting on. An afternoon half hour "in the chair" usually sorts out my early rising on a Saturday morning.
A lunchtime beer flicks the switch without fail.
Avatar 5:47am Jay/London:

@ stanley yes one great film went and got the dvd last week after seeing it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47am cklequ:

@Jay; For some reason i opted out of seeing that when it was showing here. Even though i had no idea what it was about, the poster turned me off to it. Watching that accordion scene is making me think i missed out on something.
Avatar 5:50am Jay/London:

@ cklequ go see it now you will not be disappointed me thinks
it's a one off movie
Avatar 5:51am fred von helsing:

wow this is like the ur- boomboom song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54am Julie:

I love Trio
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55am cklequ:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:01am kim (germland):

nice week, bill
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:01am G:

I was thinking Del was ripping off Lee. That's what I get for falling asleep by mistake at like 2AM, I randomly wake up to something confusing! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Parq:

Managed to catch most of the show over the last couple of days, Bill. Glad you're hanging in there.
