  3:03pm MD:

I love Jim's show!!!
  3:03pm Van in DC:

Jim is justest the bestest. Hi Scott!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm Matt from Springfield:

What happens in Vagusnerve...uh, not sure if it stays in Vagusnerve, bursts forth like energy, or transports you to another dimension. Have to research this more.

Howdy Scott and everyone! Howdy again to all the Irene and Jim cross-overs!
  3:06pm Cheri Pi:

Ooooo- Vagusnerve.
  3:08pm Stanley:

This Vagusnerve album is the dogs' b******s
  3:09pm amEdeo:

She's Jim, dead. Good morning, Vagusnerve.
  3:09pm Braveness23:

B23 here. Hello Scott. Hello CP. Hello all!

Dammit, math is hard...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Scott W:

Hello friends!! killer Relatives @ Bell House dance party hangover today, who was there??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm Matt from Springfield:

B23: Have you registered online to WFMU? New system, where you don't have to do the math!
  3:11pm Braveness23:

  3:11pm BSI:

it is good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Matt from Springfield:

I don't remember anything about it, so I MUST have been there!
(Actually wish I was..but so glad it was a fun show!)
  3:12pm Braveness23:

When my dog is asleep and dreaming on the sofa with her nose and feet twitching I envision her dreaming music like this
  3:12pm DCE:

potent stuff, Scott
  3:13pm Stanley:

Hi Scott - fight fire with fire, that's what I say. This Vagusnerve should do it.
  3:15pm Braveness23:

I once had a broken axle on my car. The axle dropped to the road and created sparks and metal grinding noise. That is what this song is about.
  3:15pm DCE:

register online?
  3:16pm Braveness23:

yeah, tell me more about this register online thing. quick, before this song is over!
  3:16pm Stanley:

Me wanna register........
  3:16pm Cheri Pi:

Hi B23! I'm just waiting for all the links Ken promised me. He said they'd be everywhere!!
  3:17pm bloopy:

this is scaring me :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm Matt from Springfield:

@B23: Sounds more sonorous than a random axle drop! How did your axle just drop, anyway?

It's been implemented as a trial for now, but they're rolling out registered user profiles where you can log on, and post comments without math, and other cool perks as well. If not now, in the coming days you should all have an opportunity.
  3:17pm Braveness23:

CP, Ken is a link promiser. Didn't your mom ever tell you about guys like that?
  3:18pm Braveness23:

A little NON would go nice after this
  3:18pm DCE:

I was messing around with contact mics and a doumbek in the basement Sunday morning--my 4 yr old daughter came down and said "stop making Halloween noises"
  3:18pm Marmalade Kitty:

Ooh, this is trippy!! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Matt from Springfield:

@B23: Finished before the song :)
Also, "Go Back To the Sirius"--this IS what your dog would dream of! Only in space, travelling towards the Dog Star!
  3:19pm northguineahills:

I like the math, keep my brain running.
  3:19pm Braveness23:

@DCE, eventually your daughter will give in and join you. I am the voice of experience.
Avatar 3:20pm Cheri Pi:

This is badass, if there was a link thingy I'd "like" Vagusnerve on my WFMU friendship society domination page.
  3:21pm koto:

Uhuu, scaring me too. It's past 5:00 here..
  3:21pm Braveness23:

CP, I like that you would like this. Vagusnerve was the sound I heard in my mothers womb.
  3:22pm Marmalade Kitty:

set the overhead light projectors to this..
  3:22pm DCE:

@B23, I sure do hope so! My son will occasionally come downstairs and mess around with some synths, but he hasn't really picked up any guitars yet.
  3:24pm Stanley:

I'm going for a lie down after that, Wait a minute, I'm already lying down!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm Matt from Springfield:

@MK: A lot of good light show tracks in the show today!
  3:24pm Braveness23:

um... and then there was the carpenters
  3:25pm Van in DC:

They'll probably force some of us like me to do advanced calculus to post.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Matt from Springfield:

@Stanley: It's moved you! Lie back up!

Classical TrakTor! Love this song, and the TrakTor mix!
  3:25pm Karen Carpenter:

this is brilliant, thanks.
  3:26pm DCE:

I would hire these carpenters to build a barn
  3:26pm koto:

Oh my!..lol
Makes me completely awake. lol
  3:26pm Droll:

Hoorah! Karen takes the Traktor out for a spin in a field of sedatives!
This is what happens when you drink a bottle of DM cough syrup and operate heavy machinery like a Traktor.
Avatar 3:27pm BSI:

vagusnerve AND the carpenters is the sound i hear in my own headwomb. now and always. like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm Matt from Springfield:

Rainy/overcast/wet/overcast Monday--how appropos.
Luvs yas Karen!
Avatar 3:27pm BSI:

*are* the sound...
  3:31pm koto:

oookei, I get ready to work!
  3:31pm Braveness23:

I've always wondered if a FedEx and a UPS guy cross paths while out on deliveries, do they get into a throw down fist fight?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Matt from Springfield:

@Scott: Don't forget: Feb 4 is the 30th anniversary of Karen's death. TrakTor Tribute!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm Matt from Springfield:

@Droll: Heh, love that "field of sedatives"!
  3:35pm Eraserhead:

The tractor places all dream/truth to bed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm Matt from Springfield:

Mercy Mersey Merseys!
Avatar 3:36pm Cheri Pi:

I just had an unfortunate Paul Simon ear-worm as I walked to the mailroom and back...it's not safe out there, I'll never unplug again.
Avatar 3:37pm Cheri Pi:

BTW-I was putting a package out for Fedex when I usually do UPS. I scurried away quickly lest I should be found out.
  3:39pm UPS:

I'm hurt, Cheri Pi. Hurt.
  3:39pm Brian in UK:

Karen shoulda drummed with Zeppelin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Matt from Springfield:

@Brian: It would've been her instead of Phil Collins with them at the Live Aid reunion, had she lived.
  3:42pm Brian in UK:

Karen lives! Calling occu-pants
  3:43pm KP:

Hey Scott! Good to see you and everyone else yesterday! Brooklyn is fun.
  3:44pm Brian in UK:

Play dem long tracks Scott.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Matt from Springfield:

Calling Occupants of Musical Souls in the Ether!!
  3:47pm Brian in UK:

Hey Stanley, you got snow?
  3:47pm Droll:

Matt, Phil invited himself -- Tony Thompson was the official Bonzo replacement. TT was in rehearsals with the reformed LZ months before Live Aid and they were going to record an album but a car accident put the kabosh on that.

TT passed away a few years ago and is remembered as a disco drummer for Chic, but he played on hits by Bowie, Madonna, Power Station, and dozens of others. He's my favorite drummer and one of the least understood drummers in all rock music.
[End soapbox rant]
  3:47pm DJKurtG:

Reh! Luh! TIVES!
  3:48pm Braveness23:

wow, for the first time I have learned specific places where my great-great grandparents came from. Spying on their world using Google Earth.

  3:55pm Brian in UK:

SNOW now ofcourse the minor melt. LAME SNOW. Not a bad name eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Matt from Springfield:

@Droll: Didn't know that! Thanks.
  3:58pm Brian in UK:

@Droll did he play with Tony Levin?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm Matt from Springfield:

@Scott: amEdeo saw you at the station last night, but I had predicted it was you in a dream, meeting amEdeo in reality. Was it? Or was it really you and amEdeo's dream-self? Or was it BOTH of your dream-selves?!?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm Scott W:

Dammit Matt, I told amEdeo he didn't see nuthin!
  4:00pm amEdeo:

I can vouch for Matt's dream prophecy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm Parq:

Hi Scott, and fellow travelers. For those as intrigued by the Relatives as I am after last night, there's some good background info here:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm Scott W:

Cool CP! I have no flu tho, thanks & praises be
Avatar 4:13pm Cheri Pi:

Praise & Thanks to Jah SW! The local media has the midwest convinced that the East coast is a hotbed of sickbeds.
  4:14pm amEdeo:

Not yet at least, Scott...

  4:21pm dc pat:

I'm still playing the baritone parts to BSI's opera.
  4:21pm amEdeo:

My client Scott Williams and the board of Scott Williams medical advisory board advisors would like to remind the good people of today that Scott Williams is not presently suffering from any illnesses- major or minor- save for the madness that is life.
  4:21pm glenn:

a hot bed of homo commie anti gun atheist perverts, you mean.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm Matt from Springfield:

@dc pat: Is it something this "Now Sound" like mix from Vicki and Ergo Phizmiz can't cure?
  4:23pm dc pat:

glenn: I take great offense at that comment! You left out "drunken"
  4:24pm dc pat:

indeed, music is the only cure......that and azythromycin..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24pm Matt from Springfield:

@amEdeo: As long as there's a contingency plan for the madness to continue if Scott takes ill.

In the meantime we pledge good wishes, Purell and orange/cranberry juice to Scott.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm Scott W:

Hey everybody! I'm not sick! Yet!
  4:26pm glenn:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm Matt from Springfield:

@dc pat: Hells yeah! Drunken smokers--West Coast pervs would instead be "pot smoking hippies".

Ooof, strep is it? Get well soon!
  4:28pm dc pat:

bsi was listening to the "vanilla fudge at 78 rpm epic remix"
Avatar 4:50pm BSI:

...let's just say that it's quite the whiplash segue to go from a heavy drone live set to the Astro Age Steel Orchestra. A weaker man would burn up on re-entry...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm Matt from Springfield:

@glenn: That sounds like a Clay Pigeon on energy drink thing to do!
  4:51pm Jeremy:

Yeah! Doopee time!
  4:51pm Parq:

Scott, have some chicken soup. It couldn't hurt.

  5:20pm Michiel:

It was called HomeWorld.

well, keep trying
  5:36pm duff:

Can't go wrong with Yo La T. and Pere U.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm Matt from Springfield:

Ah, singing saw--nice sensation though. It keeps me thinking back to the idea to form an unusual musical quartet. With theremin, singing saw, glass "armonica" and a glass Coke bottle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Matt from Springfield:

Paris 1919 is great!
"Half Past France" - along with "Antarctica Starts Here" a great ending to the album.
