Listener comments!

  3:05am Joe D:

Chris Gethard is like Tony Robbins but BETTER
  3:05am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

<singing> You'll do it your way, yeah your way...make all your dreams come true </singing>
  3:07am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I thought Bob looked like Doug Smith [a.k.a. Ivan Stang of Church of the Subgenius infamy].
  3:13am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Shut up in your face.
  3:14am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

No. What do you like?
  3:17am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

This sounds like AP Mike auditioning for a role.
  3:17am Rob:

Isn't this the music from The Big O?!?
Avatar 3:28am amEdeo:

YES! It was! Good ear Rob. One of my all-time favorite television shows.
Avatar 3:32am amEdeo:

JOE D! ARE YOU STILL OUT THERE?! I agree. Ohhhh, I agree.
  3:36am Mike Sin:

I have been cast adrift but I keep floating back to the comments board. Good morning, Amadeo!
  3:38am Mike Sin:

E E amEdeo. I will cast adrift my autocorrect.
Avatar 3:42am amEdeo:

Good morning for the second day in a row, Mike Sin!
Avatar 3:46am amEdeo:

And Good Morning to ALL of you, visible, invisible, and everything in between. Today's show comes from A DREAM I had this past week while I was battling off a cold/sore throat.

The preacher of peanut butter returns! Hello FVH!
Avatar 3:57am amEdeo:

How are you eating these days, FVH?
  4:01am fred von helsing:

Peanut butter is key. http://www.iknowmyjunkfood.eu/
  4:11am fred von helsing:

Audrey's dance / Twin Peaks of romance
  4:20am fred von helsing:

Oh to be young again and eat multiple donuts whenever.
Avatar 4:23am amEdeo:

Man, I can't even eat one donut these days. But that is because they usually are filled to the brim with wheat.
  4:23am pierre:

Bonjour Bonjour AmEdeo and listeners !!
Avatar 4:25am amEdeo:

Hey there, Hi there, Hello there pierre!
  4:31am fred von helsing:

This sort of sounds like a numbers station on drugs
Avatar 4:37am amEdeo:

Numbers are pretty hefty stuff!
  4:44am fred von helsing:

You can find some pretty weird stuff with a shortwave. Once 20 years ago I picked up Radio Tirana. There's also channels that just transmit faxes of weather maps, but they would not add anything interesting to a DJ set :)
Avatar 4:46am amEdeo:

HmmmmHMMMMMMMMM I'd still be interested in hearing that.
Avatar 4:53am amEdeo:

Send me a recording if you can find one at: amedeo <at> wfmu <dot> org
  5:06am fred von helsing:

There's collections here and there but here's something to get you started :)
Avatar 5:23am amEdeo:

Cool, I will check them out after the show today! Looking forward to hearing the sound of weather data.
  5:23am fred von helsing:

There's a band here that has done a score for the film Metropolis. They're named Cleaning Women and they hack their own instruments, like putting a mic on a clothes drying rack. It's way way cool stuff.
Avatar 5:31am amEdeo:

Whoa. That sounds really grooby. I will have to check that out as well.
  5:33am fred von helsing:

I haven't found recordings of weather data. It's just going to be low-speed modem noise. But also there's stuff like the talking clocks that maybe would have helped out the guys in Lost :-P
  5:39am fred von helsing:

I think it would be a fun art piece to do a real-time mix of some net radio stations with odd formats (including WFMU and Soma.fm !), and some crappy local pop-rock station, and a channel or two of these bizarro shortwave stations, and a channel of street noise from a remote location.
Avatar 5:42am amEdeo:

And you're just the human to make it happen! EMBRACE YOUR DREAMS FVH!
  5:49am fred von helsing:

Who said I was human? :-P
Avatar 5:50am amEdeo:

  5:51am fred von helsing:

I might be a Turing-complete carbon-silicon hybrid!
  5:52am fred von helsing:

At the tone, the format will be... FREEFORM
Avatar 5:55am amEdeo:

  5:57am fred von helsing:

At the tone, the time will be... time to put some bling blong on your ding dong !
Avatar 5:59am amEdeo:

Aaaand I can't think of a better note to end the night/day/morning/afternoon/yesterday on. Thank you FVH and everyone else (friends future/past/visible and not), I hope your existences today is glorious.
  10:22am Hugh Manatee:

What is Van jealous of when his music is as lovely as Julee "Sea" Cruise! Your airwaves that I'm rolling on are ohhhhhhceans of loveliness, amEdeo! Thank you!
