Avatar 10:45am
BSI:

In 7th grade (1980), we had some religious dude come to the school & do a presentation about the evils of rock music, satanic messages, etc. ELO was featured prominently due to their use of creepy segue sounds & voices.... oh those heady days.

whoa do I love the Creepers...
Avatar 10:50am
BSI:

@Pierre: my huge favorite is Electric Light Orchestra 2; it's like a sloppy dark prog record. Eldorado is big on my list. Early stuff. Disco-era ELO is good for different reasons (I used to roller-skate my ass off to the "Discovery" LP in the late '70s) ... Actually I'm a huge fan of the "Time" LP from 1981; it doesn't get much play, but it's a forgotten classic.

Lync! I think I'm selling that record this Sunday at the Bell House! Maybe I should reconsider...

Listening to a show broadcast on my birthday. Nice summer present. You even played something from the 70's from I band I had seen by the time the song had been released. Ahhhhhh, sweet memories.
