Listener comments!

  3:07pm Matt from Springfield:

Rockin' version of "Shake A Tail Feather"!
How are ya, Ted!
  3:08pm Honey Water:

Warning: Never sing this song when in prison.
  3:09pm Honey Water:

Hi, Ted! New listener here. Always good to find a new, safe shelter in the storm.
  3:11pm Honey Water:

Wow, this one sure brings back memories... all good.
  3:12pm Matt from Springfield:

A LOT of things you shouldn't sing in prison!!
Hi Honey!
  3:13pm Matt from Springfield:

Ted: Still no playlist link on the main page.
  3:15pm Honey Water:

Fancy meeting you here, Matt! :)

Yes, but "bend over, let me see you shake a tailfeather" must be top of the list.
  3:16pm Joe Non Papa:

Wow! Memories of my junior high school days from before before.
  3:17pm Honey Water:

Right, Ted, I had to click "Ichiban Info" on the lefthand side and go from there. Wasn't certain there would even be a playlist for this one.
  3:18pm Honey Water:

Yep, JNP, good ol' irresistible transistor days those were.
  3:22pm Matt from Springfield:

Wow, pre-Raspberries Eric Carmen!
  3:23pm Honey Water:

Isn't Palisades Park in Joisey? Somehow I thought Cannon was as well. Hm.
  3:23pm Matt from Springfield:

You've not - seen nothing - like the Bionic Wo-man!
  3:25pm Honey Water:

Topcoats? Is that referencing paint or apparel?
  3:26pm Honey Water:

I just heard "huffing" -- AH, that clarifies things.
  3:28pm Matt from Springfield:

@HW: "You've not seen HUFFING like the Mighty Quinn"?? Really! :)
  3:31pm Honey Water:

It's the MattHoney show! We're here all afternoon, folks! (well, actually, I ought to occupy this fingers soon in the chore I started).
  3:34pm Matt from Springfield:

I'm going back and forth between work and leaving comments here, so do what you need and keep listening--I'll be listening in any case.
  3:34pm Honey Water:

"THESE" not "this" fingers ...clearly they're no good for typing anymore...

Thanks, Ted, for all the tunes heard so far and still to come! Later Matt(s)!
  3:41pm Matt from Springfield:

Later, Honey!
  3:51pm Matt from Springfield:

The VU!
  3:52pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey Ted, ADD the playlist to the front page! No one else can discover this show until they know it's on! ;)
Avatar 3:54pm Ted:

I can't do anything from here.
  3:57pm Matt from Springfield:

Really? That's a shame. Do you need admin privileges or something to change the main page?
  4:00pm Matt from Springfield:

At least we have P.F. SLOAN 45s here!
  4:01pm Matt from Springfield:

Wonder if Elvis Costello was influenced by this vocal.
  4:07pm Josh from Missouri:

  4:07pm Matt from Springfield:

*TB Sheets* Van?
Avatar 4:09pm Ted:

Yes, same era.
  4:09pm Matt from Springfield:

I do believe it is!

It's incredible that from '66 to '69, Van had a different style EVERY year. From Them, to his Bang solo album, TB Sheets sessions, Astral Weeks, and then his dominant Caledonian Soul Orchestra phase. Do his "Contractual Obligation" songs count? :)
  4:15pm mrmucho:

grrrrrrrreat LP
  4:18pm Matt from Springfield:

Don't worry, this is FMU: "egregious technical errors" are tolerated, even welcomed here!
  4:23pm Joe Non Papa:

Shavers songs are terrific but Waylon has THAT VOICE.
  4:26pm mrmucho:

yeah there's no contest there, I'm sure Shaver would agree
  4:27pm Matt from Springfield:

Waylon has a "natural" voice for country!
  4:37pm Matt from Springfield:

Speaking of "natural" country voices, the Man In Coal, himself!
  4:47pm Lore:

I know that surface noise.
Avatar 4:49pm Ted:

Here's some more...
  4:59pm Matt from Springfield:

Great show Ted! Thanks!

And Happy Birthday, Sir Richard Penniman!
  5:01pm Matt from Springfield:

Hot Pants. Always. Hot Pants!
Avatar 5:02pm Ted:

See ya' Matt
