I'm pretty sure it's the first time I get to hear this show live
  3:25pm hamburger:

liked that Heiner Goebbles very much / speaking of postcards, wonder when the post office won't consider something a postcard post-worthy, like a receipt with a stamp on it? or a stamp on top of a bigger stamp with a little note? HMM?
Avatar 3:29pm bethany:

@hamburger: I've received some pretty unusual things through the mail. As long as it can hold up and has the appropriate postage I think they'll deliver it. Send me something, try it out!

okie dokie I may may just do. Also on postcards, there's mr bingo. people pay him to send hate mail back (rude doodles on postcards) and they've become so successful he's got it published as a book...

  4:21pm tomg:

Ah, The Four Seasons given the Max Richter treatment...had not heard this one from him.
Avatar 4:21pm bethany:

Aw, shucks, thank you! I have the easy part though; I owe it all to the musicians who make all of this incredible music. Happy to share it on their behalf...
Avatar 4:27pm bethany:

Anyone know the connection between the Richter and what's playing now?
  4:40pm tomg:

I do not.

Avatar 5:25pm bethany:

Glad to know you all are out there and tuned to WFMU; hope everyone has been well fed today. What was for dinner in your neck of the woods?
  5:27pm hamburger:

sloppy giuseppe pizza, not quite proud of that, but it was convenient / these 2.5 hours have flown by! gosh.
  5:28pm dale:

marie callander turkey pot pie - the wife is with family and i got sick cat duty.
Avatar 5:29pm J4ff:

This O'Halloran piece is flooring me...
  5:29pm pillar:

such a beautiful song...
  5:30pm tomg:

Here, we had wild turkey and roast haunch of venison, assorted veg, of course. Kale, roasted sweet potatoes, brussel sprout salad...pecan pie for desert.
  5:43pm tomg:

Hamburger - maybe not, but "The Day After" was filmed here. So was a chunk of "Carnival of Souls"...so who knows...
"It Came from Kansas" could yet exist.
  5:46pm hamburger:

@tomg - Carnival of Souls, ouu a Finnish film(?), filmed in Kansas, in the Critereon collection, with a 7.1 imdb rating, looks worth checking out :3
  5:47pm Bickies:

Chicken breasts - though that's only because us Canadians have thanksgiving in October, to beat the frost.
  5:48pm Bickies:

We still watch football around this time, just like our cousins to the south
  5:53pm dale:

isn't carnival of souls public domain now? think it's on the internet archive. ooh, yes:

  5:55pm tomg:

Yep, it is.
  5:57pm Ike:

I had al pastor tacos in New Castle, Delaware, for lunch. Meat carved from a rotating spit outside a charming decrepit old house right next to the highway.
  6:01pm hamburger:

thank you bethany!
  11:41pm 12539:
