A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am trouble:

  9:14am Andrew:

Trouble - had a fantastic evening at a Jens Lekman show in Brighton on Friday. I credit you with introducing me to his records some years ago. Thanks!
  9:19am Krypt:

Hello trouble, I, just yesterday, framed a Saburo Murikami print that I believe was from a painting featured in that very Gutai exhibition, weird coincidence....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20am trouble:

fantastic andrew! i hear he is working on a ballet soundtrack or some such, more fab in the future!
  9:26am pierre:

Bonjour Trouble !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am trouble:

bonjour pierre!!
  9:29am pierre:

hé hé hé…
  9:29am northguineahills:

I've liked everything on this Fleetwood Mac tribute, but I've never been able to get over Antony's voice in any context, maybe it's just me.
  9:31am jt:

wait who is this talking?
  9:31am hamburger:

wow - dj trouble sounds like dr melfi from the sopranos
  9:31am dcp@:

man, you got the cold, I got it, dcp #1 kid has it, dcp #2 kid has it...
  9:32am Krypt:

@hamburger, you nailed it!
  9:32am Andrew:

Oh, man, rest that voice, Trouble. Hope you're feeling better soon.
  9:32am cee dub:

i hazz the crud as well, narsty stuff, seems to last a good two weeks. Zicam Robitussin and Old Overholt! Feel Better.
  9:33am specksnyder:

Oh, trouble. So glad to hear you. Bless your horrid voice.
  9:33am rg:

Antony's incredible, but that cover's not a patch on the Smashing Pumpkins version. There, I said it.
  9:35am northguineahills:

I try to leave, and Karen Dalton comes on.... consarnit! (this problem happens a lot Tuesday mornings...)
  9:35am Listener Schned:

Ooooh, rest that throat!! Tea, lemon, honey, Armagnac (in the order of your choosing!)
  9:36am northguineahills:

Holy crap, I love the Smashing Pumpkin's cover of landslide, which seems like a weird thing for me to say for some reason.
  9:47am annie:

anyone here remember old chicago uhf shows, circa late 80s?
  9:50am Mike East:

This makes me think of Blue Jay Way, in a psychedelic blues jam kinda way.
  9:51am Skirkie:

This is outstanding.
  9:53am Mike East:

not Blue Jay Way...Flying..the track before. sorry.
  9:55am Krypt:

Ha ha ha! Melfied

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01am trouble:

ouch, that was a bad one brian...
  10:02am sugarwolf:

Hey Trouble!

  10:02am Cecile:

this song I still like from Tom Tom club because I haven't heard it a billion times.

PLEASE no one sample it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am trouble:

hey sugarwolf!! just thinking about you. would you like to do modification table duty this record fair? i am on saturday, sunday is freeeeeeeee
  10:06am Cecile:

awwww. trouble, you sound siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick
  10:06am sugarwolf:

Oooo maybe..... If I don't get snowed out like last year....
  10:06am jeep:

cecile, i agree. most of

the rest of TTC i and everyone else overplayed.
  10:06am Cecile:

I wouldn't be upset to wake up and be Lorraine Bracco. At least for the residuals part...
  10:09am sugarwolf:

Trouble are you going to rhinebeck next month? I don't know if I am or not yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09am trouble:

that snow drop was extra crazy, won't happen this year. should i pencil you in for sunday? i am without knitting fervor in my life at the present, it is sooo sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11am trouble:

ttc: not overplayed, under appreciated
  10:12am Brian in UK:

Chickens have started laying again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13am trouble:

yes sugarwolf, we are going to sheep and wool on sunday sunaday sunday! I have interviewing duties @wfmu radio vison fest on saturdary
  10:13am Cecile:

that cut, yes. The rest? oh, nooooo. overplayed for sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am trouble:

mine too brian! we are back up to 3 a day, between 4 gals. not bad, i don't need perfection. started giving them some cracked corn yesterday
  10:14am sugarwolf:

I knit minichickens this summer. I have been challenged to knit a sweater.
  10:20am annie:

just read an interesting article about a guy with 3 chooks, two of which stopped laying unexpectedly.. turns out there was a rat in the neighborhood...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am trouble:

sugarwolfe: mini chickens! des would love them! i saw denise posted pix of mini knitted obama figures. mini is cute for someone else to do, not me. i am threatening to start a sweater any day now, or resume one i started for des that has me confounded about how to change the yoke without disrupting the pattern
  10:36am common:

yea yea yea!!!!
  10:36am john:

Hey Trouble, This blog just posted a bunch of New Zealand birdsong records. Thought of you first thing:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am trouble:

fab!!!thanks so much john!
  10:45am Cecile:

I think I got the crud you have , Trouble. huge weather change over the weekend...
  10:48am Brian in UK:

Back at sugarwolf 10:14. My wife promised me a lovely Arran blue sweater 'bout three years ago. It's barely a tabard yet. It will come back into fashion. Too much jam/chutney making, cross stitching, veg growing & general surviving.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am trouble:

brian in uk; home knit sweaters are always in fashion. i hear you about the no time to knit. when i am sitting still i should be sleeping
  10:51am Brian in UK:

Cecile, went to see this last night. It's the third best Albanian film I have seen this year. Just kidding. Doubt if it will get much of an airing over your way.
  10:52am annie:

i'm just happy scarf weather is here... yay!
  10:54am annie:

brian, have you ever seen "before the rain"? serbo-croatian tale, very moving
  10:55am Cecile:

that sounds great, Brian.
Did you see Beasts of the Southern Wild?
  10:57am annie:

i want to see that cecile, very much, it came and went here.. i missed out. did you like it?
  10:58am Brian in UK:

annie, you know I think I have but it was a while ago. Uncompromising, if memory serves.
  10:58am Cecile:

I liked it. I admired its storytelling and its actors. I wasn't emotionally blown away by it, but it was something different and really well done.
  10:59am Cecile:

my friends who were from New Orleans had a stronger reaction to it, which is understandable. It's kind of a Katrina metaphor...
  11:00am annie:

i saw the film which was its precursor, i liked it alot.. and i saw that movie with the two kids who run away.. moonlight island?? yes, true about that cecile, it was inspired by katrina
  11:00am Cecile:

still for the fact it was made for a stupidly low amount of money it is dazzling. Makes you realize how unimaginative most filmmakers are.
  11:00am annie:

yes, brian, a very hard yet vividly beautiful movie to watch
  11:00am Brian in UK:

Cecile, it has not been released here yet. Next month?
  11:01am Cecile:

maybe? it's in really limited distribution here.
  11:03am ?:

i know its not fun but the husky (teacher voice) sounds so sexy esp in french .. as is the show, THANK you TROUBLE . feel better. did you try cayenne w ginger tea honey and limon?
  11:06am Brian in UK:

trouble gotta cut & run; dog walking afore the rain. Hope you find you voice & giggle.
  11:07am Parq:

Echoing what Q-Mark said. Hope it doesn't hurt, coz it sounds kind of cool. Got that Blythe Danner quality, and you know what a heart-throb she is. Still, feel better. Chicken soup.
  11:07am flordelion:

Check it out! Los indignados surrounding Parliament in MAdrid!!
  11:16am kayt:
