From WIki "angs was also a musician in his own right. He teamed up with Joey Ramone's brother, Mickey Leigh, to put together a New York City group named Birdland. In 1980, he traveled to Austin, Texas, and met a punk rock group named the Delinquents. During his stay in Austin, he recorded an album as Lester Bangs and the Delinquents entitled Jook Savages on the Brazos."

Stands for Depressed Persian Cab Driver. Thanks so much Chris! We were waiting for the guy to self-destruct. I mean Mitt. But has he?
Won't so many of his admirers go nuts for him now, because he says what they think and are afraid to say? Don't you all need to be given a simple excuse to hate the Palestinians, as well as 47% of your own fellow Americans? He tells 'em what they wanna hear.
  6:32pm
mark from VT:

One thing to consider is that 47 percent is what is CURRENTLY in this category. The number gets bigger and bigger, and bigger once you add all of the people who have at one point in life would have been in that 47 percent. It hits a nerve. Who has not been in that 47 percent at some time in their life?

Marmalade Kitty:

extra fluoride in the water, a "terrorist" attack.. he's got every chance of getting in

Ken From Hyde Park:

What comment did Romney make the other day that the middle class starts at $200,000 yearly salary? That seems like a pretty high number.
  6:34pm
cooh john:

This is better than getting 'analysis' from 'the media.'
  6:36pm
Tricky Dick:

Mitt should try to sidestep the issue with a "My dog Seamus" speech.
  6:36pm
cooh john:

Her keeps talking in circles and not saying anything.

DPCD:

Yes, Miss Kitty-
Should Israel attack Iran soon, their neighbors react, the world goes nuts (because Israel doesn't officially have the bomb and we think of them as a poor 3rd world country needing huge amts of aid) - then all bets are off for Obama.
Big win for Romney in that carefully contrived scenario!
  6:40pm
mark from VT:

What if he shows up in that wfmu shirt consistently inconsistent. would that get your vote?
  6:51pm
Marmalade Kitty:

Obama would never be that careless, to be recorded with his pants down! At least Romney was being honest for once!

DPCD:

Comcast is Roberts. NBC is Burke. They have an evil empire, and a high opinion of themselves because they get paid obscene amounts of money to jet around (to the Olympics, recently and for example) with their hangers-on.
Which is probably what I'd do if the opportunity arose.
I met Steve Burke once, a guy who apparently has a soft heart for men like himself but bullies lesser others with glee.
  6:53pm
Danne D:

@Kitty - everyone let's their guard down at some point - it's the fact of the relentless media cycle. The advantage Obama has is the inherent person he is compared to Romney.

Whoa Chris said "Miracle Nutrition" today :) - maybe this really is the eve of destruction ;o)

Thanks for a good listen as always, Chris!

Eva Destruction would be a great stage name.
