+This sounds good...
Avatar 10:20pm
Dave M.:

@Roadkill: It is! It's Cluster.

That Bjork song was great. Kind of everything I want Joanna Newsom to be. I haven't been keeping track of her latest stuff, but I'm gonna get myself a copy of Biophilia now.
Avatar 10:30pm
Dave M.:

Yeah, that's a great song. The rest of the disc is pretty similar in style/sound.
  10:36pm
Ric:

I love Ange Des Orages from the North Star album, so hypnotic.
  10:42pm
Andrew Waterloo:

This has a real Carnival of Souls soundtrack vibe
  10:48pm
Roadkill:

+Excellent choice...

+I envisioned a mad scientist at a dusty keyboard in a cobwebbed manse during Victor's Lament. Too bad it was only "pop"... (Great story of the music snob, Dave.)
Avatar 11:01pm
Dave M.:

Thanks. That's the short version of the story.
  11:28pm
Droll:

There is nothing wrong with pop! I don't see a lot of Hal David obits that say "only pop". Pop is no more a guilty-pleasure music than prog rock.
Save pejoratives for deserving styles, like crabcore.
  11:33pm
Roadkill:

+Agreed, Droll. My only "pop" comment was in reference to the minimilalization by the music snob to Dave... RK
  11:40pm
Destroit:

hello Dave and all the good ones, quietly enjoying.
Avatar 11:42pm
Dave M.:

Hi, Des. Thanks.
  11:44pm
Droll:

Roadkill, I think it's telling DJDM is still bent about it. He has guilty-pleasure music (i.e.: prog and pop) which makes no sense whatever considering his history at FMU.

If it sounds good, it IS good. No shame required.
  11:53pm
Roadkill:

+Bent might be stretching it a bit, but I'd relate it if it was thrust at me each time by the music snob, too. BTW, I hope we all have our own guilty-pleasure music... Ahhhh, some nearly 8-minute guilty pleasure music...
  11:55pm
Destroit:

My guilty pleasure music is Randy Travis.
  12:00am
Roadkill:

+Thank you for the good tunes, Dave...
  12:03am
Droll:

DM, Sorry if I was harsh for no good reason. I love the show whether you're embarrassed or not.

Laurent:

Praise to god for the podcast. Many many interesting, different... music. merci from paris
