Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

That's it for another edition of The Dusty Show everyone, I hope you enjoyed The E-23 as much as I did. I really like the records that I found. It is an area I wasn't very familiar with, so it's nice to get a little crash course.

Continuing mentions of Occupy coverage, or a lack thereof. I will try to remedy. I feel guilty about it, but I needed to re-align myself this summer and enjoy it a bit. I suppose that sounds lame. If you were immersed in the movement, you know you have to back out now and then or it gets "too heavy, man."

Have to run. Very late and we have to log these shows for artist royalties, which I don't mind doing. Lord knows they deserve them.

Don't forget THE DUEL coming up next Thurs. at 4:30. Clay Pigeon vs. Fabio. Winner-take-all. May the best man win. I'll be keeping score to make sure everything is fair and on the up-and-up. OK. I'm gone! Take care and .... write me: dusty@wfmu.org. Can't buy an email lately. Yesterday's news, old Clay Pigeon. ha! OK ...

Always remember.

Clay

Matt from Springfield:

@Clay: My fav part is actually the start; what now seems in retrospect to be a almost sarcastic, spiteful tinge of "How A*BOUT that Sarah Palin?! HEAH?!"
  6:33pm
Philo Gristle:

Personally I think Bruce Campbell should do a Romney spoof. Perfect match.

I love Burgess Meredith in 'Magic.'

@kat: To return to an earlier archetype: Has Todd Akin just become the king of "old, doughy white men"? Or do those in your neck of the woods still have a fighting chance? :)

I love Ed209 from Robocop.

Hey Clay, listening from Fort Lauderdale. Love the WWE clip! Have a great show!

blee:

What is the E23? Are they your favorite 23 electronic tracks that you found, Clay?

Always a pleasure to turn into your show.
  6:39pm
kat330:

It could be an amazing action film: Darko Notice.
  6:40pm
Matt from Springfield:

Explosion it is :)
And old WWF/E clips, like Nick the Bard's show! (Always on very late 3-6 am as an occasional fill-in, but check those Archives out! Hysterical, out of this world!)
  6:40pm
blee:

Shoots, you just said it. Nevermind my E23 question.

it was great-- moving music-- lloyd webber and rice were amazing at joseph and jesus christ etc time

Arrrrggggh! White doughy men (not OLD, middle-aged, of which I am a part) -- what an idiot! And yet our own Congressman is named Todd WHITE! (used to be a wonderful statesman, Lee Hamilton).

DPCD:

On the 23 find:
We are left guessing why this ended up at Goodwill. Clay won't speculate...
Is the former owner dead, probably, and did a family member not know what else to do with the collection? That's my sad assumption.

Agree Philo.

Don't forget TODD Palin!

[Matt, I meant AKIN's the idiot, in case a lack of punctuation clarity there!]

Say, did anyone realize that YESTERday was national punctuation day?
  6:45pm
Matt from Springfield:

@kat: In VA, Lynchburg remains the WDM capital, at least for the theocratic WDM (home of Jerry Falwell and Liberty University).

Mental health! Rational gun regulations need to be taken seriously and implemented, in any case. But I still say the gaping hole here is mental health -- there's no infrastructure for treating and helping peoples mental health, short of warehousing people in what amount to prisons.

@last interviewee: Which, is exactly the intent of Obama's "amnesty" -- 2 year moratorium on deportations, so those eligible and brought here as children, can "get their papers" and get on the legal side of the books.
