the glowing one:

and I always thaught Too Much Information had the longest intro
  6:06pm
Danne D:

@the glowing one - I'm pretty sure Chris has trimmed it down compared to previous years.
  6:07pm
YETI BOB:

76 days until election!
  6:08pm
Mike East:

Cherry Blossom Clinic and Night People also have very long intros. Chris T's is my favorite though, and the reason I started listening to the show.
  6:09pm
the glowing one:

Obama is the lesser evil :(
  6:11pm
hamburger:

  6:13pm

I was hoping that the intro would have been longer.
  6:15pm
Mike East:

@hamburger - good point. I found a record store down the street from the supermarket last weekend that plays WFMU inside. I spoke to the proprietor about Michael Shelley's premium and Dave the Spazz's fill in. #wfmugeektalk (is that how you tweet? too many characters? I'm outta my league) #imnotontwitter

disastrogirl:

I don't think there would be any actual fiscal austerity if the republicans win. They would still cut social programs but the spending would go up up up again.
  6:18pm
hamburger:

The most insane example is the privatization of prisons.
  6:23pm
hamburger:

ohyea, didn't some company outsource their labor to prisons!? dafuq!
  6:27pm
Danne D:

I think it's Mississippi where they are basically throwing kids in JAIL for DRESS CODE violations. When there's a profit motive for prisons they will want to ensure that there's a steady flow of "clients"
  6:28pm
hamburger:

wow that's messed up o_o
  6:32pm

Ike:

I mentioned the prisons-for-profit issue to Irwin once and he didn't believe me. I guess if it's not in the NY Post or Fox News or a conservative blog then it doesn't exist.
  6:35pm
Phillip in San Antonio:

Nobody in politics wants to talk anything about Fukushima and the truth. C'mon in kids, there's plen-tee of radiation for everybody.
  6:35pm
hamburger:

so is Irwin a right wing nutjob?!
  6:39pm
Phillip in San Antonio:

Are any countries currently assisting Japan and the constant linger of the crippled plant?
  6:40pm
Ike:

@hamb, he even likes Palin.
  6:49pm
hamburger:
