  3:10am Martyn:

  3:14am Martyn:

Nice holiday snap, not taken in Scotland presumably.
  3:18am KP:

  3:22am T-Zero:

Avatar 3:23am Bill Mac:

  3:25am Marmalade kitty:

  3:25am T-Zero:

Goin' ok! Long story short, have a new neighbor that bitches about the music no matter how low it's turned down, so haven't been listening much at night unless I have on the headphones.
  3:27am Brian in UK:

Mornin' Bill, KP, Martyn. Well T-Zero long time no.....
Got my FMU bird splatter on. Looks like a hot one. The weather & that gal!!
  3:28am T-Zero:

Howdy, howdy MK, Bill, Brian. Missed y'all as well!
  3:31am KP:

I always use headphones to listen to Breathy Bill. Plus the train people frown on boom boxes.
  3:34am T-Zero:

She complained during the day too, but the landlord came over to my place and listened and basically told to f*** off during the day because the music's not loud.

Also, been digitizing/burning to CD all of my cassettes and vinyl and making jewel cases for them... Listening to albums I've not been able to play in years...
  3:36am KP:

Next stop! iPhone and me take the Xbox from there.
  3:36am T-Zero:

So! How you all been?
Avatar 3:37am Bill Mac:

We'll try to keep the edges off.... for a little while anyway....
Avatar 3:37am Bill Mac:

Hey everybody!!!!
  3:37am Brian in UK:

It's a labourious process, T-Zero. I am working my way through mine too.
Kevin Coyne takes me back, Bill. He used to work in a mental home, does it show.
  3:42am KP:

Sure this isn't Dennis Diken?
  3:43am Brian in UK:

Well T-Z we survived the Olympics. This country does pomp & circumstance very well.
Has anyone see Jay on the comments this week?
  3:45am KP:

  3:45am KP:

Got my Super Hits of the 70s disc today.
  3:46am Stanley:

Good Morning Bill, hello everyone, here we are all again. Hope Jay's okay.
  3:49am T-Zero:

@Biran, I watched he opening ceremony & part of the closing, but that was about it. The way it was covered by NBC, I felt was pretty poor so didn't watch much as it just frustrated me.
  3:49am Brian in UK:

Was it Minatures? One minute tracks?
  3:50am T-Zero:

Thanks for the shout-out, Bill. That was nice!
  3:52am Martyn:

Miniatures - 51 tiny masterpieces - amazing album.
  3:52am Stanley:

Jay popped up on Irene's show last Monday, said he was feeling okay. Said also he was still on holiday, so maybe he's out of town.
  3:53am KP:

  3:55am Brian in UK:

Lazy lay-a-bed more like, Stanley!!!!
Ah Parachute, nice one KP.
Dog walking time afore it gets too hot.
Avatar 3:56am Bill Mac:

I did write him last week... said he's just fine and pretty much everything you mentioned about holiday.
  3:57am Stanley:

@Bill - nice one.

@Brian - Too hot?? Where are you, Africa?
  3:58am T-Zero:

@Bill: That's good to know. I get concerned about him at times...

@Biran: Finally it's cooled down here...
  4:09am Jay/ London:

Avatar 4:31am Bill Mac:

I'd play Quo every week if possible. This was their big encore number back in the day. Much better live...
  4:32am Stanley:

@Bill - the other name for Greasy Kids Stuff. I remember a classic live track on that show from Jonathan Richman called 'Ice Cream Man'. Wonderful.
Avatar 4:34am Bill Mac:

I actually googled that just so I wouldn't sound lame not knowing something from my own station. It was a great program, on at a great time of the day for kids too... adults too...
  4:38am Jay/ London:

it was a sad day when greasy kids stuff came off the air so many great songs for big kids .. i hope one day a new kids show will be back on wfmu
Avatar 4:40am Bill Mac:

I don't know whether they're doing the same thing in Oregon now that Hova and Belinda live there. Their kid is a bit older now too so maybe the radio thing has taken a backseat to bringing up baby.
  4:46am Looms:

Good morning Bill and everyone!
Avatar 4:47am Bill Mac:

Looms! Well that's it, everyone's been here, I can go now, you guys have been marvelous! See you next week!!!

DJ Shantel is German?
  5:40am arne da torino:

To my knowledge Shantel is in fact German. At least his homebase was Frankfurt/Main for the longest time. He ran a club there.
Avatar 5:47am Bill Mac:

Stop by and get a complimentary drink from our lovely bartender Lurleen as you step up to the bandstand.
  5:47am Brian in UK:

I remember when Woodstock came out at our local picture house. When Country Joe shouted out Give us an f etc the whole audience gave it some. Shouting fuck at the top of their voices. Magic moment.
  5:49am Brian in UK:

Mine's a sidecar (double adult)
  5:49am arne da torino:

Hi Bill, not often commenting these days, but listening quite regularly - and always enjoying it. Arne

PS: According to the German wikipedia page, Shantel is a born Frankfurter. His grandparents are from Czernovitz in the Bukovina, the area between today's Ukraine, Rumania and Moldova.
Avatar 5:49am Bill Mac:

I was old enough to remember the crazy older kids that scared the be-jibbers out of me. Too bad I wasn't just a couple years older
Avatar 5:50am Bill Mac:

Always good to have you dispense some knowledge when appropriate Arne. Nice to hear from you.
Avatar 5:56am Bill Mac:
