DCE:

pulsating brain massage! good morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am
Liz B.:

Hi DCE and anyone else out there who may be waking up to the pulsating brain massage!
  9:15am
A:

Liz, I think your MP3 is on 45...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22am
Liz B.:

Yeah, I'm not sure if that Eigenheimer song is supposed to be all chipmunk'd out, but I like it that way!
  9:24am
BenG:

Awake and vacillating between semi-trance and trance.
  9:25am
yayson:

this is perfect
  9:27am
DCE:

oh yeah, forgot I had to keep refreshing these comments. I wish that would resolve itself already!
  9:28am
BSI:

"refreshing comments" sounds awfully pleasant.
  9:29am
DCE:

in a sunlit garden, over chamomille tea
  9:32am
BSI:

"chamomile"??!?!?! That's a sedative, innit?
MUST HAVE CAFFEINE! BLACK TEA! BLACK LIKE MAH SOUL!!!
  9:32am
goodJorb:

ahhh .... soothing
  9:33am
DCE:

maybe some of those cute little cucumber sandwiches, you know, with the cream cheese? doilies, for sure...
  9:39am
Jack/Ernest:

"Why cucumber sandwiches? Why such reckless extravagance in one so young?"
  9:41am
BenG:

This here's a refreshing drink of Kool-Aid.
  9:47am
Chris from DC:

Pariah Carey. Awesome.
  9:48am
DCE:

I am so glad I don't have a laundromat in my life right now.
  9:49am
amEdeo:

Death to all laundromats!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am
Liz B.:

One day I will upgrade my lifestyle to one that does not rely upon a laundromat and granny cart!
  9:53am
DCE:

ah, but you are so cute pushing the granny cart down the avenue. don't take that away from the citizens!
  9:54am
BenG:

Sorry you had a rough day at the laundromat. Loved the way you channeled it. Such is art.
  9:57am
still b/p:

A former girlfriend just reported yesterday she took delivery of a new washer after enduring the laundromat zone for a few weeks to get her and her kids stuff done, and I was thinking of some kind of Laundromat Diaries....which, as I see and we could predict, is already out there.
  9:59am
DCE:

this sounds better than I remembered it
  10:06am
PGhost:

so good. morning improving. hangover subsiding. thanks, LB.
  10:06am
BSI:

Back in the '80s when my neighborhood was a bit scrappier (mt.pleasant, DC), I used to have to physically sit on the dryer while my stuff was in, to prevent "disgraceful types" from stealing my clothes in mid-dry. Those were the days.
  10:07am
BSI:

Visibly reading a copy of Nietzsche's BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL also might have helped... as a vibe deterrent...?
  10:08am
suea:

i am not a guitarist so i don't know.. is this solo terrible or is it just me?
  10:09am
goodJorb:

whew.
  10:24am
BSI:

Lazy: nice sound. Puts me in the mind of the better moments of Inner City Unit...
  10:34am
Laundromat Cops:

Both of you sit down on the curb until we get this sorted out...
  10:35am
Laundromat Cops:

..."sorted"...Ha!
  10:35am
Laundromat Cops::

go on tuesday night - every 3rd wash is free
  10:35am
goodJorb:

just can't do your laundry on Saturdays/sundays. it's the busiest/worst day to go to a laundromat.
  10:36am
suea:

u are too nice. she already used her "i was waiting for this one" card on the large machine. but she knew the bully-route was the only way to get her injustice accomplished.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am
Liz B.:

You guys are right, screw the laundromat on the weekends!
  10:39am
BSI:

Sometime around 1990 I was collecting laundromat stories like that for a deep ambient cassette release. It never happened, but I got a ton of stories just like that. Kind of inspired to pick it up again & finish the damned thing...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am
Liz B.:

Sounds hilarious, BSI!
  10:44am
BSI:

The idea was, take your 1990-era walkman to the laundromat & play this tape, perfectly timed for one load of wash & two loads of dry. A "meditation aid" as it were.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am
Liz B.:

I could have used that tape yesterday!
  10:47am
goodJorb:

no one else finds Telemundo to be oddly meditative and soothing?
  10:52am
KP:

Hey, that's my machine!
  10:53am
goodJorb:

when I go to the laundromat, it's either spanish soap operas or Animal Planet. I've seen this show called "Pitbulls and Parolees" more times than anyone. Certainly no one chooses to watch these shows... ?
  10:59am
BenG:

The laundromat tv is like middle-of-the-night infomercials. Somehow that crap gets into your brain, and lives with you for a lifetime. It must have some kind of Darwinian purpose.
  11:05am
DCE:

great theme song
  11:05am
DCE:

reminds me of Friday nights and eatin' popcorn with dad in the bean bag chair
  11:06am
Mike East:

I was listening to this all weekend. such a great premium
  11:06am
the glowing one:

this is happy music, music that is happy
  11:10am
Jeff:

I'm not sure I've even ever heard that super-extended version of the Rockford Files theme.

It makes me happy. In a rueful, James Garner sort of way.
  11:11am
Sam:

I always do laundry on weeknights, not only is it less crowded but I don't have to waste my precious weekend time on laundry. I can go out and do things. But laundromats are a drag. The one by me, at least half the machines are always broken, and if you leave for a few minutes the guy has a tendency to close early and lock up with your laundry in there!! What kind of bastard would do that?
  11:14am
duke:

Waiting for the Smurfs. Wasn't that a play by Beckett?
  11:15am
barbie:

liz,

were you not waiting patiently for the dukes of hazzard? then, dallas? that was the line-up, correct? i, too remember watching r-files with dad.
  11:18am
goodJorb:

oh man... I like this one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am
Liz B.:

Barbie, I think you've got it right!
