Jeff G:

Hey folks! Sorry to be late to our own parade here; bit o connection trouble this morning... Should be good from here on OUT.
  12:37pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Hello Jeffs. I missed the twitter advice :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Jeff G:

Hi Richard. Glad you made it, in any event, and apologies for not getting the word out on Twitter!
  1:10pm
Brian in UK:

Hello Jeffs, respect for Mr Coxhill. He seems to have been around for the longest time.
  2:00pm
northguineahills:

I love this (and all) Alice Coltrane.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm
Jeff G:

Oh yeah, northguineahills! You and us, both.
  2:22pm
Jeff J:

Damn, that Bley is some forward lookin' jazz noise vocal electronic whatnot! Keep forgetting about that side of him.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm
Jeff G:

This whole synthesizer show era might be my favorite Bley-time, even if rather atypical of his overall (immense) oeuvre.
  2:27pm
Jeff J:

Agreed (per usual). It's still amazing to me that using a synth was considered a sell out move in jazz at this time, when this stuff might have been Bley's most adventurous music, full stop.
  2:27pm
northguineahills:

Phew! Whenever someone plays more then one track from different albums in a row, I think it's an RIP tribute. (not the case w/ Paul Bley).

I also like Paul Bley's stuff into the 80s.
  2:29pm
Jeff J:

Woah, nice segue there. The lovely Annette!
  2:33pm
Proud Peacock:

What is current with Annette P.?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm
Jeff G:

Not sure; she was selling signed copies of her reissued I Am the One not so long ago...
  2:37pm
Jeff J:

Light in the Attic is reissuing "I'm The One" later this year in a more affordable (though unautographed) edition. Hopefully it'll start to get the attention it deserves.
  2:38pm
Jeff J:

Maybe it'll spur more new music from her as well. Though I wasn't as crazy about her ECM album. Miss the wild & woolly Ms. Peacock.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm
Jeff G:

Would be great to hear what she's about these days....
  2:51pm
Jeff J:

Who's the vocal on the Hanrahan?
  2:52pm
R.I.O.:

Any chance of a Cuneiform/ avant-jazzrock artist show?
  2:52pm
Jeff J:

We need to get with more Amina on the site....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm
Jeff G:

Carmen Lundy, I think, sings Love Is Like a Cigarette. The liner notes to that LP are horridly hard to read. Check via internet just now...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm
Jeff G:

@R.I.O.: We could probably put something like together. Any artists you have in mind?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm
Jeff G:

@JJ: Yes, more ACM!
  2:56pm
nickfromVA:

Kip Hanrahan's projects have never gotten the attention they deserve. Beautiful stuff!
  2:58pm
listener james from westwood:
