  3:06am Robert Moses:

Good job son.
  3:07am Martyn:

Good morning Bill and all.

One beautiful track after another, a great start to the show.
Avatar 3:09am Bill Mac:

Morning Gents.... It's a Brian-less Saturday morning. Enjoy the vacation inside your head...
  3:15am Martyn:

What, no Brian? Hope he's got a good excuse.
  3:22am Looms:

Morning! (thanks to the postman who woke me up)
Avatar 3:23am Bill Mac:

I think it's vacation time for him... Scotland I think... Looms! Happy Saturday! Still got postman working on Saturday?
  3:25am Looms:

yep! on saturday mornings.
  3:27am Martyn:

If Brian's in Scotland I'll have to keep an eye out for him. A lost looking man with a dog.

(Its great talking about people when they're not around isn't it).
  3:33am Steve:

Betcha he has the FMU app
  3:48am Martyn:

Ah, Syd.
  3:49am Looms:

  3:49am Destroit:

Hello Bill and all good people.
  3:50am KP:

  3:51am Destroit:

Good idea Looms! Ahh, the good ole days.
  3:51am Stanley:

Hi all. Just coming to life this Saturday morning.
@Steve - Brian's in Darkest Dumfriesshire. He's very unlikely to pick up a phone signal let alone connect t'internet.
Avatar 3:51am Bill Mac:

Has a real "Money" feel to it....
  3:52am KP:

Hey Bill my weekend begind with your show and it's always a good start.
  3:57am KP:

Was thinking of this one today. Did you have a diode implanted in my front lobe?
Avatar 4:05am Bill Mac:

We control the horizontal..... we control the vertical....
howsit goin King!
Avatar 4:06am Bill Mac:

Glad you folks all dug Syd. He had some nice releases after PF... with their help of course
Avatar 4:08am Bill Mac:

Hello to Stanley and Deeeeestroit
  4:11am Destroit:

Always dig Syd, love this lovin spoonful track. Like the band, never heard that track.
  4:15am Jay /London:

Good Morning Bll and all, oh I have just missed Syd .. note to self must try and get up at start of Bill's show
  4:16am Destroit:

Ha, I love wu-tang clan. Ghostface killah, best ever in that genre. Also like neutral milk hotel. Strange connections there.
  4:17am Jay /London:

no bill I meant just MISSED Syd on the show
  4:19am Looms:

I heard some time ago a wild psych-rock cover of Khachaturian's Sabre Dance, sounded like it had been recorded in the late 60s. Can't remember who did it. Does it ring any bell to you guys?
Avatar 4:22am Bill Mac:

I think it's Love Sculpture with Dave Edmunds... let me have a look
  4:24am Looms:

YEAH! That's the one, thanks!!!
  4:26am Jay /London:

have not heard this in many a year still sounds fresh
Avatar 4:26am Bill Mac:

I'm kissing my puny arm muscles as we speak
  4:27am KP:

Sabre Dance. Saw edmunds do this as encore. The rhythm guitarist left the stage. Total mayhem.
  4:28am Gary:

Different version than what's on Forms and Feelings. Bit more low-fi and raw. Gots more bite. Nice.
  4:28am Destroit:

Awesome, nice call Looms.
Avatar 4:30am Bill Mac:

Thanks Gary, I'll be trying to dredge that one up
  4:31am KP:

Getting back to flaming groovies, I always thought Facebook was for nerds, but if that what it takes to get live messages from Cyril Jordan, give me a pocket protector.
  4:31am Looms:

Another wonderful cover of Jacques Brel's "Au Suivant". Love it :)
  4:33am abby in france:

ugh. what a gross song. hi bill. nice show tho.
Avatar 4:34am Bill Mac:

All I knew about Jacques Brel for years was that Alex Harvey covered this song. You can't go a day here at FMU without hearing Brel on a program
  4:34am Looms:

I think I can live with that, Bill, ha ha!
Avatar 4:35am Bill Mac:

@KP yeah you can tell all of your favorite artists how lazy they are.... ahhh technology
Avatar 4:36am Bill Mac:

@Hi Abby... sorry, but it's about the human condition, warts and all...
  4:39am Destroit:

Man, wait until you drop ghostface..everybody offended.
Avatar 4:40am Bill Mac:

or it's polar opposite.... Mouth and MacNeal
  4:40am Jay /London:

oh i just noticed i also missed brother jt :(
  4:41am slugluv1313:

MOUTH AND MACNEIL (sp.?)!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!
  4:41am Looms:

I have a magic word for you, Jay: archive
Avatar 4:41am Bill Mac:

Fear not Jay, there's always next week
Avatar 4:42am Bill Mac:

Yeah baby!!!!
  4:42am Looms:

magic word? magical word? urm...
  4:43am Looms:

Is there a difference? (sorry for asking)
Avatar 4:44am Bill Mac:

Magic word? I'm listening but no comprendo
  4:47am Looms:

Is there a difference between "magic word" and "magical word"? (English is not my language, I'm just lost in translation)
  4:47am Destroit:

Spanish bill, great set buddy. Find a ghostface track, trust me.
  4:52am Stanley:

Someone asked me the other day whether I was dirty old pervert. And I said to him....you mean there are other kinds of perverts?
  4:52am Destroit:

Coasters, thanks
Avatar 4:57am Bill Mac:

@Stanley next thing I knew I was in jail....
  5:00am Destroit:

Lowell track, great
  5:25am fred von helsing:

Avatar 5:27am Bill Mac:

Hey Fred... yeah the Dick El Demasiado CD (two CDs) is pretty freaky whacked out cumbia stuff... I likes it myself
  5:30am Andy in Berlin:

Just tuned in, looks like I missed a good show
  5:35am Jay /London:

Hi Andy as they say there is always the magic Archive
  5:35am slugluv1313:

LOVE this old CVB tune, PERFECT dawn vibe :)
  5:36am Andy in Berlin:

without the archive I am nothing :)
Avatar 5:38am Bill Mac:

@Andy I think all the DJs feel that way too... we loooove the exposure
  5:39am fred von helsing:

does loooove rhyme with groooove
  5:40am Looms:

Is it Antony singing? Nice.
  5:42am M:

@Looms I was wondering that myself
Avatar 5:42am Bill Mac:

I was looking for credits for him.... sure sounds like him
  5:44am Looms:

btw, I don't remember hearing the Antony/Michael Cashmore album on WFMU. Wonderful stuff.
Avatar 5:45am Bill Mac:

@Looms & M - Yes it is
  5:46am Steve:

No but Zzzzzzero rhymes with Nero
  5:49am fred von helsing:

and orange rhymes with... doorhinge
  5:52am Looms:

door hinge means "charnière de porte" in French. I wonder if I'll ever use this word in a conversation ;)
  5:52am fred von helsing:

got some Giant Drag ?
  5:53am Steve:

"I'll tell you a story about John," she told the audience. "He often used to wake up in the middle of the night and ask me, 'Why do people cover Paul's songs so much, but never mine?'

"I used to tell him, 'It's because you are a talented songwriter. You don't just rhyme June with spoon. And you are a very good singer - lots of people would be too afraid to cover one of your songs.'

- Yoko Ono
  5:55am fred von helsing:

"Charnière de la Porte" totally works as a band name. Some sort of yé-yé revival band? Signature black and white striped leggings? Clothilde 4EVA
Avatar 5:55am Bill Mac:

Time for all of you to go back to bed... that's what I'm doing after my meal and the hike home.... and in closing, what Steve said.... there's nothing like a good woman to keep her man a little deluded... see you folks!
  5:56am fred von helsing:

Delusion - tastes like chicken. Hey cheers for the boffo trax of wax!
  5:57am Jay /London:

well its all gone so fast again .. guess i will have to go do some work now .. hear you again next week Bill Thanks
  5:57am Looms:

Good point, Fred. Thanks Bill, bye all!
  5:58am fred von helsing:

"Rhino Release" is a brothel house band
  5:59am Stanley:

Bye Bill - its bagel time
  5:59am Steve:

After show videos:

Lana del Rey - Blue Jeans (76 MB)

Natalie Duncan - Sky Is Falling (78 MB)
  12:56pm Brian in UK:

Hello Bill. Went to a wedding yesterday. Driving up to Scotland next Sat & driving back the following.
Loved the Love Sculpture, I remember when they did sessions on John Peel's show circa 68/69. He loved it so much he played the toon again later in the show. Freeform. You've really hit the information button, Loving the show archivally!!
PS the bride's parents are Scottish/Iranian, there were some great beats in the disco including belly dancers.
