Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Options June 7, 2012: Live! with Fabio - Taking Calls - Rocking!

Listen to this show:  Pop‑up player!

Artist Track Album Label Year Format Comments Approx. start time
Hello Dusty Listener. For this weeks show, I had intended to air some interviews recorded over the previous week in Manhattan. Occupy Wall Street protesting Obama/Clinton in front of the Amsterdam Theater on 42nd St. - Other miscellaneous interviews around town. Plus a story I had written. However ... once I arrived at the station and got to talking with Fabio, all plans went out the window and we ended up just going live for an hour and taking calls. For many people, I'm sure it was a welcome respite from the ongoing Occupy coverage, however, for those interested in OWS who have tuned in faithfully over recent weeks, I did want to express that I am still interested in the ongoing story of the movement and where it is headed. I think that I have missed doing other types of shows and I have decided to perhaps do Occupy stuff when bigger things happen - marches, events, etc. --- That said, things change very quickly, so, week-to-week I'll just play it by ear. Please keep tuning in and share your thoughts with me on what you'd like to hear more of and less of. Thanks!

  6:21pm Pidgeilante Justice:

How to be Fabio: Always repeat the last thing the other person said
  6:21pm Cecile:

well, I gotta go. later.
  6:21pm Ike:

I know what Clay means about the news making the blood pressure go up. I watch a some world news lately (BBC World News channels and A.J. English), which sometimes perversely makes me feel better about events in the U.S. because things are often so much worse elsewhere. Like many Americans, I find it easier to dissociate from the horrors occurring overseas than from bad things in the U.S.
  6:22pm Matt from Springfield:

Seriously Carm?? Do you have an Irish accent and all that?
That would be great if you do! We have a few Irish listeners, that's another listener I can imagine speaking in an Irish accent! :)
  6:22pm Cecile:

Bellamy Brothers

Man, Clay's in fighting mode. Wings up!
  6:23pm Carmichael:

I thought you knew that already, Matt. I came to NorCal just short of 8 years old (with my parents, not by myself). I think I sound like an Irish Spicoli by now ...
  6:23pm Ralphine:

What about Sid and Marty Krofft?
  6:24pm Pidgeilante Justice:

this will be a good story...
  6:25pm Cecile:

up the house! hahahha I feel like I'm in the UP
  6:25pm Matt from Springfield:
