More than happy to be here on a holiday Monday! I'll actually be out for the next few weeks, so I didn't want to miss today. Will be in Porto around the 12th...
  9:26am
Ken From Hyde Park:

My mother-in-law runs a hair salon and doesn't open on Mondays. So these Monday holidays don't help her at all. Well, I guess she does get to hang out with her family and relax instead of going to the DMV and whatnot.

rick from SC:

Explosions in the Sky just cancelled Porto's primavera gig! :(
  10:28am

@ BW: yes i went there, it was fun, early drinking, and dancing under the sun. The Field, the Spits, and NguzuNguzu, were gigs i enjoyed the most. You'll come next year, and maybe i'll be the one painting and/or washing.
  10:32am

no reason to come to manahatta? pffft

Ha ha, alright, BW's stoop is a close second to Cake Shop!

With due props to BW's porch, it's pretty much over for Manhattan. About the only advantage of living here nowadays is still having a 212 area code.
  10:59am
Parq:

Although the architecture you see on walking about is still memorable. See? I brought it back to BW's stoop.
  11:06am
JLC:

For a second I was like "wow this sounds like a ripoff of Laid Back"
  11:11am
dave:

this SID Chip Sounds album is my favorite thing so far this year. it's just amazing.
  11:18am
dave:

i could be wrong, but i think everything on that SID Chip comp is old, from games released in the 80s. that's part of what i love about it -- it's really giving game music composers from that era their due.

sadly, it doesn't include the music from hover bovver. it's still awesome, though.
  11:31am
Kenzo:

@hover bovver: "Jim won't mind if I borrow his mower." Best lawn-mowing video game ever.
  11:46am
Waka Jawaka:

Thanks Liz for the tunes today!
  11:55am
frenchee:

Yes, Bergie, thank you for being there, it's a great show.
