  9:10am Ken From Hyde Park:

Like my former boss would often say, "Thanks for coming to work today."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am Liz B.:

Porto represent! Hi to anyone else out there! Onemanclapping, you must tell me what to check out in your city... I'll be there soon!
  9:12am emily:

Yeah, so glad that Liz works holidays (for us). thanks for the gift!
  9:13am onemanclapping:

Oh! I totally forgot about that! I'll send you a mail with some advice! :) You're coming after BCN's Primavera, right?
  9:15am pierre:

Bonjour Liz !
Bonjour listeners !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am Liz B.:

More than happy to be here on a holiday Monday! I'll actually be out for the next few weeks, so I didn't want to miss today. Will be in Porto around the 12th...
  9:26am Ken From Hyde Park:

My mother-in-law runs a hair salon and doesn't open on Mondays. So these Monday holidays don't help her at all. Well, I guess she does get to hang out with her family and relax instead of going to the DMV and whatnot.
  9:29am rick from SC:

Awesome show this AM
  9:30am Kim Tortoise:

Hello from the UK. It's a sunny afternoon in York. Excited to be listening live as I usually catch up with you on archive where I'm two weeks late for the comments!! Great show so far..
  9:31am Dave B:

Good morning Liz and listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am Liz B.:

Alright, looks like we've got some un-regulars checking in today, too! Good to see you all here!
  9:38am BW:

Bonjour Liz! listening from the land of Pierre and other frenchies again - Pierre want to come to my friend's restaurant opening tomorrow night?
  9:40am Dave B:

Un-regular, but not irregular
  9:42am pierre:

Bonjour BW ! Whoa, a restaurant opening ! That sounds like something i'd be intersted in :)
i'll gladly come. Where and when ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am Liz B.:

"Shake that ass... oooooh it stanks! Shake that stanky ass!" -- drunk guy hanging out in front of the deli at 5:30am
  9:43am BW:

the drunk guy is your new unregular checking in?
Pierre I will email ya
  9:44am BW:

at least the stanky didn't have to worry about some other dude EATING his stanky face off!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am Liz B.:

"I'll bet all these people going to work really hate us right now!" -- drunk/coked-out Germans yelling on subway at 5:45am
  9:55am onemanclapping:

In Spain it's also holiday - they call it second easter. How I love Spain...
  9:57am BW:

IT is Pentecost day here in France too so everyone is feeling that Holy Spirit love and saying screw all to work.
  10:01am pierre:

@BW : did you get to go to the Villette Sonique festival ?
  10:02am Kim Tortoise:

The May Bank Holiday in the UK (usually today) has been moved cos of Her Majesty so we're all at work.
  10:05am BW:

Peirre - I wish - I have been painting walls and washing windows - did you go?
  10:19am Ken From Hyde Park:

Time to bike the kids into town for the parade. Have fun in Barcelona. I'll be listening.
  10:19am BW:

LB- you are going to have to start recording your train rides again
  10:26am onemanclapping:

Explosions in the Sky just cancelled Porto's primavera gig! :(
  10:28am pierre:

@ BW: yes i went there, it was fun, early drinking, and dancing under the sun. The Field, the Spits, and NguzuNguzu, were gigs i enjoyed the most. You'll come next year, and maybe i'll be the one painting and/or washing.
  10:32am pierre:

@ BW : here is some GIF of the Festival

  10:34am Parq:

An hour and a half of power pop? Yes, please!
  10:36am Parq:

Also dug the idea of a rock and roll song called "Saturday Night Fever". Way to take it back, guys!
  10:43am BW:

no reason to come to manahatta? pffft
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Liz B.:

Ha ha, alright, BW's stoop is a close second to Cake Shop!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am Liz B.:

Here's the link to help out Cake Shop:
  10:58am Parq:

With due props to BW's porch, it's pretty much over for Manhattan. About the only advantage of living here nowadays is still having a 212 area code.
  10:59am Parq:

Although the architecture you see on walking about is still memorable. See? I brought it back to BW's stoop.
  11:06am JLC:

For a second I was like "wow this sounds like a ripoff of Laid Back"
  11:11am dave:

this SID Chip Sounds album is my favorite thing so far this year. it's just amazing.
  11:18am dave:

i could be wrong, but i think everything on that SID Chip comp is old, from games released in the 80s. that's part of what i love about it -- it's really giving game music composers from that era their due.

sadly, it doesn't include the music from hover bovver. it's still awesome, though.
  11:31am Kenzo:

@hover bovver: "Jim won't mind if I borrow his mower." Best lawn-mowing video game ever.
  11:46am Waka Jawaka:

Thanks Liz for the tunes today!
  11:55am frenchee:

Yes, Bergie, thank you for being there, it's a great show.
  2:10pm adam:

This show was great!!
