Listener comments!

  3:06am Martyn:

Good morning Bill and all.

Hate to think of you sitting there feeling lonely Bill, we're all here or will be soon enough.
  3:11am Looms:

Hello Bill, Martyn and everyone.
Avatar 3:19am Bill Mac:

Hey Gents, thanks for the sentiment, Martyn. Looks like a sort of minimal start for the show today. I'm liking the vibe so far and no worries, it will pick up soon. Memorial Day weekend here in the states, so I get Monday off from the grind... woo hoo!
  3:23am Brian in UK:

Hey Bill, Martyn & Looms. Hands across the ocean.
  3:24am KP:

Hey, Bill. How's it going.
  3:25am Brian in UK:

Is this backing the Joy Division song?
Just been gutting some trout my neighbour kindly gave me.
Avatar 3:26am Bill Mac:

Way to go Brian... up with the fishes.... wait, no that can't be right...
Avatar 3:27am Bill Mac:

Hey King, how you doing?
  3:28am Brian in UK:

Fuxa - Love Will Keep Us Apart Again?

Sleeps with....Luca

KP no fish
Avatar 3:30am Bill Mac:

No sir, it's a reach but I can see the resemblance in the tracks..
  3:31am KP:

Hands across the Hudson River!

Hands across the Hudson River!
  3:31am Destroit:

love the start Bill and hello all.
Avatar 3:31am Bill Mac:

I'll repeat that!
Avatar 3:32am Bill Mac:

Hey man, where you been? Good to see you, in a textual kinda way...
  3:32am KP:

Oy vey I think I posted last msg four times. Darn iPhone.
  3:32am Looms:

Who wants a fresh French croissant?
Avatar 3:33am Bill Mac:

Gimmee gimmee gimmee... does it have cheese in it?
  3:34am Brian in UK:

Something that blew me away when I worked for Royal Mail was the fact that there is no maximum weight for First Class post. So in theory, the scales are the limits (back to fish). The Fuxa title reminded me of this. Also Flaming Lips song 'A Spoonful Weights a Tons'
Looms one of those huge bowls of hot chocolate, please.
  3:34am KP:

Working late. On train now. With Rangers out of it after tonight, maybe I'll get back to reg sked, which is still pretty late.
  3:34am Looms:

Cheese croissant for breakfast? Blasphemy!
Avatar 3:35am Bill Mac:

I just exposed myself for the grub chewin American that I am....
  3:37am Looms:

Okay guys, the Avengers will deliver in 10 minutes.
Avatar 3:39am Bill Mac:

@KP I work with a lot of Devils fans, and I'm from the Philly area... lots of hate for the Flyers there. Not in Philly... in Freehold...
  3:44am Brian in UK:

The Berlin Wall was disbanded!!
  3:52am Looms:

Memorial day, he? Should we talk about depleted uranium ammo?
Avatar 3:55am Bill Mac:

Most people will be talking about their weekend at the beach...
  3:58am Jay /London:

good Morning bill brian looms from wall to wall sun .. hey bonzos great to hear when, I turn on the show !! :)
  4:04am Looms:

Hi Jay! Looks like storms are coming our way.
Avatar 4:05am Bill Mac:

Hey it's Sunny Jay, how you feeling today?
  4:10am Looms:

I felt like losing brain cells while trying to understand the meaning of Normand L'Amour's song. Why does this guy does talk to a doorknob?
  4:11am Jay /London:

I am feeling good but tired went for a few drinks last night .. got a date for my 3rd op it's on 19th june can not wait to get it all over and then get on with my life .. i have put on some weight as can not walk much .. Looms Storms we can not have storms its just all blue and hot here
Avatar 4:13am Bill Mac:

@Looms I guess it doesn't matter whether you can understand the language at times like these
  4:16am Looms:

  4:17am Jay /London:

hey bill any chance of plying something with the word sun in the title as the day is so blue , after all the rain we have had
  4:17am Looms:

I need to know more (the song was brilliant, Bill)
  4:22am Looms:

Normand L'Amour is 81 and started his comic singer career in 1998. Seems he's quite popular in Quebeck.
  4:24am Looms:

(there's no K at the end of Quebec but shush)
  4:25am KP:

I'm not a rangers fan. "We" cover them. Working around clock is what happens when sports seasons combine. Im just getting from that.
Avatar 4:27am Bill Mac:

@looms-Did you figure out whether the song was funny, or at least quirky?
  4:28am Jay /London:

not what i was thinking of but it has got sun in the title .. like it
  4:29am Looms:

Yeah, the song was both absurd and funny. Thanks for the introduction.
  4:30am Looms:

(my comment intended to be funny too)
  4:31am Looms:

(I wasn't complaining)
Avatar 4:32am Bill Mac:

@Jay.... Better?
  4:32am Looms:

(no one likes me, boohoo)
Avatar 4:32am Bill Mac:

@Looms... another happy accident I took a chance on
  4:32am Looms:

Sorry, I'm in a good mood.
Avatar 4:33am Bill Mac:

@Looms-Keep talking Looms... someone will answer... eventually
Avatar 4:34am Bill Mac:

@KP - Who's we?
  4:36am Jay /London:

yes bill nothing like the kinks .. also one of there best songs
  4:41am Andy in Berlin:

checking in and sobbing because I just missed Waterloo Sunset
Avatar 4:49am Bill Mac:

Hey Andy... I was sobbing cos it was such a beautiful song.... too bad you missed it...
  4:51am Mike Sin:

Good morning, Bill Mac -- I enjoyed that King Tuff track quite a lot! Thanks for making the late-night drive more enjoyable.
Avatar 4:53am Bill Mac:

Hey Mike, apparently they've been around for awhile and I never heard them before (like a lot of the stuff down here)... nice to hear from the drivers out there...
  4:59am Steve:

Ram - #3 on Canadian charts
  5:00am Brian in UK:

Only The Bonzos could fit tourniquet into a song.

All you need is cash.
  5:01am Brian in UK:

Only The Bonzos could fit tourniquet into a song.

All you need is cash. Cheese & onions, a marriage made in heaven like garlic & olive oil.
  5:05am Brian in UK:

Jay, good luck for 19th. Hope this is the end of the road. If you know what I mean.

Bill have you ever heard The Idle Race? Early Jeff Lynne.
  5:05am M:

liked that Roy Wood thing
  5:10am Brian in UK:

The Skeleton & the Roundabout
  5:12am Mike Sin:

re: Cheese and Onions
I think Galaxie 500 did the version off the Shimmy Disc tribute.
Avatar 5:13am Bill Mac:

I never heard the Rutles version of that tune. Apologies to those that take offense to me double dipping in Bonzos territory.
Thanks Mike, it's been awhile since I've seen that comp. It's got to be here in the library.
  5:13am M:

can we hear the Idle Race version of Hello Susie .... if it fits
  5:13am Jay /London:

@ Brian yes its the last one .. soon to be pain free :)
neill innes wrote a lot of the songs for the bonzos
  5:15am Jay /London:

Anyone remember the TV show RUTLAND WEEKEND TV ?
  5:18am Andy in Berlin:

I like Hello Suzie, didn't know anyone covered it
Avatar 5:21am Bill Mac:

Sorry it wasn't the Idle Race, it was Amen Corner
  5:22am Jay /London:

Then the Rutles came alone send up of a Liverpool group anyone seen the film
Avatar 5:41am Bill Mac:

BTW Jay, I've seen the albums for RUTLAND WEEKEND TV, but I don't think the show made it here in the states.... I've seen some clips of the film but not the whole thing
  5:42am Brian in UK:

Phasing - a technique seldom heard these days.
  5:42am Andy in Berlin:

...for which we are all grateful :)
Avatar 5:43am Bill Mac:

Unparallelled in heavy-osity
  5:44am Andy in Berlin:

oh I think there's a lot to be said for banging it out
  5:44am Brian in UK:

Jay 'Do Not Adjust You Set' was the precursor with Bonzos & Monty Pythons.
  5:46am Brian in UK:

Andy always had a soft spot for Rainbow Chaser by Nirvana (UK) for phasing; limited lifespan though.
  5:46am Jay /London:

@ bill it's worth seeing the film George was in it as a reporter check this link out from the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ACyZIXkHq0 @ brian yes it was rutland came after me thinks
  5:47am Brian in UK:

Just painting the house now so thinking of The Bonzos 'My Pink Half of the Drainpipe'
  5:49am Jay /London:

@ brian i am also painting the outside .. well after the show of course
Avatar 5:50am Bill Mac:

It might be a dated effect but I always thought it enhanced the theater of what was being played.
Have fun painting guys!
  5:53am Brian in UK:

Do like Dunderheads, Bill. Has more class than fuckwits.
  5:53am Looms:

thought Humble Pie was singing "Shakey Jay" :)

Have a wonderful day y'all!
Avatar 5:54am Bill Mac:

Here here Brian, don't mince about, just say what's on your mind! Later Looms!~
  5:55am Jay /London:

time all gone again great show bill have to now wait another week be hearing you :)
  5:55am Jay /London:

@ looms have more coffee !
Avatar 5:57am Bill Mac:

Folks, have a great week. Thanks for hanging out for the duration. Next week?
  5:57am Brian in UK:

Enjoy the day off folks. Top job, Bill. Thanks.
This station never ceases to amaze me how it works.
Avatar 5:59am Bill Mac:

Me too Bri, and I'm here every week!
